What happened to Maria?, chapter 1
This is the day I go to the concert I was longing to go to for a long time. I'm going with my best friend Maria and it's going to be the best night of my life. My name is Mary and I'm happy to go. Well I went to Maria's house to get ready to go to the concert and have fun. Maria told me once I entered the door that she couldn't come. She never told me why but she said she couldn't go so I called my mom to give me a ride and she said she would come and pick me up.
When my mom came I said bye to Maria and my mom took me to the concert. For the first time ever I saw Sweet Children play live. I was so happy I was jumping up and down through the whole concert. After the concert I went home and called Maria and told her how go of a time I had. Maria seemed scared about something but I never asked her what was bothering her because I didn't want Maria to argue with me.
After I hung up I decided to go to Maria's house again so mom drove me over and I knocked on the door. Maria answered it and said for me to go away in a scared voice. I didn't understand but I went in Mom's car and we drove off. I told her about how Maria has been acting but Mom told me that it was probably a sickness running through the family.
After Mom told me all about she was talking about I didn't say anything because I didn't want to argue. She looked at me and looked back forward. Once we got home I called Maria on the phone again and she answered. I asked Maria what was wrong and I begged and Maria finally told me to meet her by the tree in front of the park so I agreed. I told my mom where I was going and I set off. I waited by the tree and waited.
Finally Maria arrived and told me that she couldn't do anything because of her sickness. Maria was wearing heavy clothes and covered her mouth as she talked. Mom was right it was a sickness but how did she know I thought. Maria talked some more and told me all about the sickness and I felt very sorry for her and her family. Maria then told me that she had to go home and I went back to the house. I told my mom what Maria said and Mom told me that there was nothing to worry about in the first place. I sat there and thought for a moment and asked myself in my head how could it be all right?
Maria's family is really sick how could it be all right? I then walked to my room very confused. I didn't understand what Mom meant. I laid down on my bed and feel asleep. The next day I called Maria and asked how she was doing. She said not so well. I told her about the confusion and Maria said something about something but before I could hear it all the phone line was cut off. I walked to where the power source was and Mom looked angry and looked at me and told me not to bother Maria's family. I looked at her in shock then suddenly THUMP. Mom lay on the floor dead. I screamed and...
