Mike's POV:
About ten minutes later, Dr Brass came back out of the same operating room where Shelby was, smiling.
"I have some great news. After I left the operating room, they permormed a new procedure. They revived Shelby. She's lost alot of blood, but nevertheless, she's alive." he said.
"No way!! That's awesome!!" I screamed happily.
"I think she must have subconciously heard you scream and stuck around for you." he said.
"Thanks a ton Dr Brass. I gotta go tell the others." I said while starting to run.
"No problem. I'm happy to see she pulled through for ya." he yelled.
I arrived in the waiting room with a massive smile on my face.
"Why the hell are you smiling Mike?" Kelsey asked sadly.
"I have great news. Dr Brass' team performed some new procedure and revived her!!"
"NO WAY!!" everyone yelled happily.
"I'm not bullshitting you! He came and told me 5 minutes ago." I replied.
"Shit!! This is great!!" they replied.
"Yea I know! I'm gonna go find Dr Brass and ask when we can see her." I said.
So I ran down the halls once again to try and find Dr Brass. I found him in the cafeteria, drinking coffee.
"Hey Dr Brass, I was wondering where Shelby is, and when we can see her?"
"She's in room 338, which is in the ICU. You can go see her later this evening."
"Ok thanks alot Dr Brass."
"No problem Mike."
I went back to the waiting room and told the guys.
A few hours passed and we went up to the ICU.
"I think we should all go in at once, but be very quiet, because she's probably sleeping." I said.
"No, we should go in a few at a time. Since you literally saw the whole thing, I think you should go in first Mike." everyone said.
"Ok, sounds good."
So I went in her room, to see her laying there, wide awake.
I didn't say anything, I just walked over to her and held her in my arms while crying.
"Aww...Mike don't cry. I'm fine now." she said to me.
"I know...but it was terrible.They told us you were dead."
"Really? I don't remember dying." she said jokingly.
I started to laugh and cry at the same time.
"You know, I saw a white light at some point when I was in the operating room. But I heard you talking to Dr Brass outside and you were crying. And I couldn't stand to hear you cry, so I held on."
"Thanks alot....I don't know what we would have done without you. Do you want me to get the guys?"
"No, they can wait a few more minutes."
With that said, I just sat there with her in my arms, wishing that that moment would last forever, as cheesy as that sounds.
