A day or two with Green Day, chapter 5
"What's wrong May?"
Billie looked worriedly at May. She was leaning over the toilet, and looked pretty green.
"Uhm... I think I have a problem." she said, walked over to the spring and turned the water on. She drank very much water, then turned to Billie.
"You see, I feel kinda... sick. I think you know what I mean."
Billie understood very well.
"Are you... ?"
"Yeah, kinda."
"Have you told Tre?"
May didn't answer.
"You have to tell him-"
"WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL HIM? THAT HE'S GOING TO BE A DAD AGAIN?"
May went out in the living room and jumped down on the sofa.
It was a week since they had been at the pool, and Mike, Tre and Holy was out buying dinner.
Billie followed her, and sat down beside her.
"You cant just go and pretend, right?"
Tears began to swim in Mays eyes.
"But it wasn't supposed to be like this. We're not even together. We just have this friend relationship."
Billie smiled. That was Tre.
Billie lay his hand on the crying girls shoulder.
"He will notice it. What are you supposed to tell him when he finds out?"
"I don't know."
No one said anything for a while.
"I'm too young to get pregnant!" May said after a while. "I don't wanna get fat."
"Is that the problem?"
"No, ofcourse not!"
May pushed her tears away, and grabbed a pillow. Then she lifted her feet from the floor, and crept into the corner of the sofa.
"What's the problem?" Billie said calmly. May looked at him.
"He is in Green Day, you know how big you are. And if you're with a world famous drummer, you become the girlfriend of a world famous drummer, and I don't think I can take that. I'm scared."
"I see."
Billie got up from the sofa.
"But if you don't tell him, I will."
"Please don't."
The Green Day fan looked up at the lead singer of her favorite band. He was married and had two kids himself, so he knew more that her. But she was scared. She didn't really think that Tre was that kinda person that just would let her have her baby alone, but she was scared anyway.
Tre Cool lived with his ex-wife and their son, how would she fit in.
May didn't know a single thing about kids, just that they needed food.
None of them, Tre and May, was completely normal, so how was they supposed to raise a child? And her family didn't like Green Day either. She didn't know what they would do if they knew were she actually was. They thought she was in New York with her sister.
The first time she sneaked out to go to a concert, was when her family was on vacation in England.
Mike, Tre and Holy was back with the dinner.
"Now is your chance," Billie said. "Tre! May has something she wants to tell you."
Tre walked over to May.
"What?" he said happily, like there was no problem on earth.
May didn't say a word.
"I... I'm... I'm pregnant, Tre."
