Breaking up The Band, chapter 10
-Lia's POV-
"WHAT THE FUCK?" Tre said, raising an eyebrow." You're crazy, Billie."
Mike just stared at Billie Joe, speechless. His mouth was gaping open.
"Mike..." I said.
With a clacking noise, his jaw closed shut.
"Well, I think it would be better to be solo." Billie Joe said.
"YOU CAN'T!" Tre and I said in unison. I turned and looked at him.
"What?" he asked, glaring at me.
"Nothing, nothing..." I said. Somehow I felt I was doing wrong. I could tell Tre was probably jealous of me and I should just keep out of their business." Uh, y'know, I shouldn't have gone on tour with you guys and I should just butt out so.. I think I-I should go home."
"We're almost in Minnesota." Mike said, finally recovering from shock." Just stay a little while longer."
"Stay." Billie Joe pleaded." After this tour, I'm thinking of going on solo, after all."
"Only if you don't go solo." I said.
"Er, isn't that kind of a contradiction of terms?" Tre said.
"Well, it'll work.. I might go solo anyways." Billie Joe said.
"Fine." I said, walking over to the corner I had claimed 'mine'.
"We're here.." came a voice from the front of the bus. I recognized it as the drivers.
"We're in Minnesota? What town?" I said, jumping up.
"We're in Dinkytown Minneapolis." He answered.
Tre laughed." What kind of name is that?"
"I dunno, it's where our gig is, though." Billie answered.
"My sister lives here.." I said.
"Another girl..." Tre muttered.
"The gig's tonight, after all.." Mike said.
"Why another girl?" Tre said." I don't want to meet her."
"Whatever Tre. Hey, Lia, are you going to come to the concert with us?" Billie Joe asked.
"I'll stay behind. I don't want to interfere.." I said.
"Yeah.. I guess you could." Billie said.
