Breaking up The Band, chapter 12

On my own here we go
-Tre's POV-
It wasn't like a new hope or anything was shining down on Lia and I. She still annoyed me. I bet she wasn't even a big fan, just trying to get me to like her. And that wouldn't happen even if I wasn't jealous of her. But, I guess I could be sort of nice to her. Not in a good way. Just a normal, casual way. I like Billie Joe more, right? Right?

I earthed through the cabinets irritably. Nothing, nothing... We should've gotten a fridge before going on tour. Didn't we just by groceries a week ago, after all?

I groaned and sat back down on the bunkbed.

"Popcorn?" Lia said, offering me the bowl.

I laughed and looked at the popcorn, smiling." Ironic, isn't it? The day before you went on tour with us.." I started, then stopped to wipe the silly grin off my face." Nevermind." I said sternly.

She gave me a puzzled look and tumbled off the bed in shock. A loud lauging sound coming from outside had startled her. She grumbled and got up, brushing off herself. She sat back down on the bed just as the door opened.

Drunken-looking and arm in arm, Adrienne, Billie Joe, and Mike clambered onto the bus and collapsed in the middle of the floor." Someone had too much to drink, didn't they?" Lia said, raising an eybrow.

A little more than too much, it seemed. Adrienne, once she began to recover, pranced around the room mumbling about how much she wanted a kitten. Mike headed straight for the kichen, managing to find an old mustard bottle I couldn't and squirting it all over the walls. And Billie, the worst of them all, was trying to run headfirst into the wall with Mike's bass.

"Uh, Billie Joe, why are you doing that?" Lia asked.

"GUITARS MAKE ME FLY!" He said, slurring his words so it sounded like "Goo tards make meeeee flyyyyyy".

"Yeah.. Er, why don't you give me the guitar, Billie?" She asked, reaching for Mike's bass.

"NO! NO TOUCHY! MINEE!" Billie Joe yelled, running in the opposite direction. Lia chased after him.

I laughed and looked over at Mike. He was looking down into the mustard bottle, convinced there was no more left, but then he squeezed the bottle and a whole ton of mustard got squirted in his eye.

I giggled at him. He was trying to get it out of his eye but only managed to spread it around. I turned and looked at Lia. She was desperately trying to tug the bass out of Billie's grip while Adrienne stared on.

"Let go!" She screamed.

"Never!" Billie answered.

I laughed for one last time and walked over to help Lia." Let go of the bass, Billie."

"NO!" He yelled.

"Please?" I asked. A crashing noise from behind me told Mike had probably just knocked himself out. Well, one less person to look out for.

Adrienne rushed into the bathroom in a desperate attempt to not throw up..

"One last try.." Lia said, yanking desperately on the bass's neck. Billie Joe let go of the other side, and Lia ended up on the floor.

"Got it!" She cried.

"I can't stand him anymore.. Let me see that bass." I said. Lia handed it over.

I hit Billie over the head with it. He slumped down on the floor." There."

"I hope you didn't kill him.." Lia said, raising an eyebrow.

"Naw, he'll wake up in the morning thinking he had a hangover. He would never think I did that... Maybe." I said reassuringly and sitting down on my bunkbed.
