Breaking up The Band, chapter 3
Lia raised an eyebrow and grabbed Tre's nearest foot. She was lucky enough to be backstage at a GREEN DAY concert, first of all, but, was Mike hitting on her?
Billie Joe glanced at his watch." Oh shit. The concert starts in about half an hour.".
Mike took ahold of Tre's other arm, just as Billie began to count.
"One... Two... THREE!" Billie yelled.
They all gave an almighty tug, and with a disgusting squelching noise, Tre popped free from the toilet. Tre sat up and looked around." Wow..She has pink hair.. I think she's a rabid fangirl." he said, prodding Lia in the face with a water soaked hand.
"I don't have rabies."Lia said, staring at him for two reasons;one, the fact his hair was a soggy lump, and two, the fact that he looked a bit mad.It could've been the fact that he was still halfdrunk..
"20 minutes!"a voice called from outside.
"I'm not ready!" Tre cried, making a mad dash out of the bathroom.
"That was a bit awkward.." Lia said, raising an eyebrow.
"A little." Billie said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, we'd better go too.. The concert's in a couple of minutes." Mike said, standing up and walking out of the bathroom." Bye... What was your name again?" he asked, looking at Lia.
"Lia." She answered, looking at Billie, who was still sitting on the floor." Hey, aren't you going to go with him?"
"I can wait. I mean-the concert can wait. We still have time." Billie said, looking at Lia." So, what's your whole name?"
"Nesser. I'm Lia Nesser." She said, smiling.
"GET OUT HERE BILLIE!" A voice called from outside.
"Ah, that's my que." Billie said, standing up." I'll see you after the concert?" he asked, quickly kissing Lia and dashing off.
Lia looked after him, confused. He just kissed her? "Yeah, I'll see you then... I'll see you then." she called, still sitting down on the floor, puzzled. Billie Joe was sure to have a girlfriend.. Or a fiance, at least.
