Why did I end up with the Idiots?!, chapter 15
Jesus just stared at the other...him.
"What?! No... no you can't be him! You can't! He's just a cartoon! A creation of my mind!"
"Yes...I am. I'm YOUR creation! You made me! You gave ME 'life'...okay, not a very good one. I've been lurking in your mind since THAT day... "
Jesus just sat down and put his hands to his ears.
Jimmy wasn't there.
He couldn't be there!
He didn't exist...he didn't...
"You're not here... I'm not here... I'm at home! I'm laying in my bed and I'm sleeping! It's all just a bad dream! When I wake up everything will be okay. Mom will wake me up and I'll have that mushroom thingy for breakfast... and then I'll go to school and... " Jesus just whined and mumbled.
Even thought he knew that it wasn't a dream.
But Jimmy... ?
How could he be there?
How could Jesus sit there in this weirdo reality, listening to one of his cartoons?!
"I can hear you thinking Jesus. Every single word. You're too weak too shut me out. And... " once again Jimmy moved closer to Jesus and whispered in his ear. "... and you're too weak to stop me from going out."
"What?!" Jesus sobbed.
Jimmy laughed.
A cold and crazy laugh...
"You don't get it, do you?" he laughed. "There's a new kid in town! And his name is Saint Jimmy! The patron saint of the denial!"
Suddenly Jesus understood.
He knew where he was and what was going to happen...
He was somehow locked in his own mind.
He could even hear his own heart beat!
And he knew that he wouldn't be able to get out again... not now anyway.
Jimmy was taking over.
Jesus looked at him.
"Is it going to be better now then?" he asked quietly. "Nobody likes the Jesus of Suburbia anyway. Maybe it'll be better if you're there instead of me."
"Ah... there's the problem my little Jesus! I can't exist without you. I won't even be able to be outside all the time. But even if that's the truth about me, you'll never be strong enough to kill me!"
Jimmy laughed again.
"You'll just have to live with the fact that you'll never be alone... never, ever again... "
Then everything changed...
Jimmy disappeared and Jesus was left behind.
Jimmy was free...
