Castaway, chapter 2
But she thought wrong. Looking around her she spottet Brad and Simon trying to chat up some girls. She had to smile as they were acting ridiculous with their fake smiles that matched their fake hair and pounds of make-up. They could only be on their way, from the hip-hop club which was attached to the main-floor, to the bathrooms.
Jane appeared out of the now relatively big crowd just as 'Down in the past' started being played.
"Come on lets go have some fun" she said.
Jane smiled and they headed into the direction of the dance-floor.

"So what d'ya think of this place?"
"Alright I guess" Billie Joe Armstrong answered his friend Jason White before taking a long sip from his beer."
"It's great isn't it, just so fucking annoying that we have to sit in this separated area. I wouldn't mind getting on that floor with some of those ladies"
Billie Joe smiled at his friend, although his constant talk about women was really getting on his nerves, and they were frail enough as it was, as he took a peek to the dancing -or better: jumping crowd. A girl just went on to the floor with what was probably her friend, dressed all in black accept for the red Chuck Taylor's and the partly bright red hair.
Tre returned from their private part of the bar, obviously tipsy. Waving an umbrella in front of him and screaming: "Is it superman? No! Is it Spiderman? No! It's Umbrellaman!"
Billie Joe couldn't help it he just had to laugh, while Mike who was accompanying Tre looked like he was going to kill his fellow band member any minute. "Where the hell did you get that umbrella from anyway"
Tre smiled deviously and jumped to the direction of the bar.
He's really pushin' it tonight. I'm gonna send his annoying ass to the moon sometime soon" Mike moaned while sitting down next to Billie.
Billie's eyes had wondered back to the dance-floor. The girl in black was now dancing with some guy.
"Earth to Billie Joe!"
"Huh?"
"Forget it!" Mike said laughingly.
"Heard anything from Adrienne lately?"
Billie sighed "Nope. But mom visited the kids the other day, she told me that Adie's still going out with that geek. But I've come to accept it, I think. It's a real shame, but that's life"
Mike looked at Billie in disbelief "Yeah right, you said that last time, right before you nearly fuckin' killed yourself drunk-driving after you saw them together."
"I know I messed up, but It's been nearly a year now. And life's gotta go on, right?"
"Right" Mike answered

"I'm still in love with Matt", she couldn't keep to herself anymore, partially thanks to the effects of alcohol. Jane looked at her with darting eyes.
"WHAT?"
"I know it's stupid. But I can't help it. No matter what I do the damn Fucker is always on my bloody mind."
"Hey Mary!" a voice called. She turned around knowing who it was, for there was only one person who it could have been. Everybody else only ever called her by her last name: Monroe.
