They Changed My Life, chapter 11
"So-did you sleep alright last night? I know my bed isn't the most comfortable thing in the world..." asked Billie Joe.
"I slept fine. Really," I added when I was given a funny look.
We pulled up in front of my house, and I was sad to leave him, but I didn't really have a choice.
"Well..." I said, stalling a little. "I had a lot of fun yesterday... And today-"
I shut up quickly as I was pulled into a large hug. "So did I," said Billie Joe, softly kissing my cheek.
I couldn't help grinning like an idiot, but at least he was doing the same thing. I slid out of the car and walked up to the front door and waved. As soon as the car pulled away, I crept through the house to my room. I guessed that my mom was at work and I hoped that my sister was asleep or not here. Finding nothing else to do, I pulled my journal out from under my bed. As I had told Billie Joe, writing helps me vent, and since there was no-one I could talk to last night, I wrote it all down. Besides, I thought. This way I'll have every detail forever... I spent an hour or so excitedly writing yesterday's and today's happenings. As lunch time rolled around, I grew hungry, which was understandable considering that most of my breakfast had been thrown into Tre''s mouth. Cautiously, I crept downstairs, expecting my sister to attack me along the way 2 the kitchen. Making it to the eating area safely, I proceeded to make a sandwich. As I sat down to eat, I found a note on the table from my mom.
Estelle-
Had to go to Washington for work. Lizzie told me you went home with some friends. See you in a week, love.
-Mom
I sighed in relief. I guess Elizabeth didn't elaborate too much on the friends I was with. You might think that she sounds cool or whatever with her not telling our mom about the guys and all-but I know better. She wants something and/or plans to blackmail me. Feeling uneasy now, I attempted to go back to my room. Not even three feet away from it, I was grabbed from behind. Gasping as the hands tightened painfully on my shoulders, I managed to spin around.
