Is This Real?, chapter 4
"Thanks, guys!"
"So are we gonna go shopping?" Sarah asked.
"Well, I'll go. What about you Kaylee?"
"Yeah I've just gotta run by the bank and get some of that money I don't have... Ha ha ha. No, I have money I'll meet you to at the mall in 30 minuets. Let's meet in..uhhh... Hot Topic, it's not that big and if we can't find each other we'll call each other on our cell phone ok?" Kaylee said.
"Yeah."
"Yeah. Sounds great!" I said.
I went downstairs to tell Billie where I was going, he always thinks I'm going somewhere that he doesn't want me to. I stood at the banister right before you got to the stairs. I could hear Billie talking to someone but I couldn't tell who. When he said something nobody replied so I guess he was talking on his cell.
He was also smoking IN THE HOUSE! I wasn't to happy but I didn't say anything, I wanted to hear what they were saying. Billie only smokes when he's frustrated or mad (we'll he smokes a lot of times!)
"Look, I bought her this and well, she's acting like she doesn't want it." He said disappointedly. "No I haven't given it to her yet I was gonna do it that night but then she was all mad and stuff and I didn't want to give it to her if it'd gonna be over...Mike, I don't want it to be over I love Janae so much but it looks like it's not gonna go that far. Do you have any solutions?"
Janae's mind
I don't wanna tell him. It'll break his heart.
Tré doesn't even know. And Billie really loves me I guess... But I don't want to tell him... and all this anger isn't the sickness, or the mood swings, or even the baby! It's us... I'm going to tell Sarah and Kaylee today about all of this, maybe they have a solution!
Back in the real world
I ran down the steps like I hadn't heard a thing.
"Yeah, can you hold on a sec, Janae's down here."
"Are you talking about me?" I said in a happy mood like it wasn't anything bad. " And why are you smoking in the house? I told you you can't do that. The smell's hard to get out!" I said still in a perky mood.
I took the cigarette out of his mouth and threw it outside.
"Look, the girls and I are going to go shopping. I'll be home really late 'cause we're gonna go out and spend the night together! No smoking in the house! Left over pizza is in the fridge also with other left overs... and there's a 10 on the table in case of something... we'll love you, bye!" I said then kissed him.
"Yeah bye. I promise not to burn the house down!" he said "Here, take my car it has more gas in it," he said then threw me the keys.
"'Kay, thanks, love you. bye!"
