Blue Eyed Miracle, chapter 5
Billie and Tre came back and saw the looks on our faces and questioned us. Mike told them the story and they looked so surprised.
"How could someone hurt someone as beautiful as you?" Tre asked sounding concerned for first time that I've known.
"I don't understand that either." Mike said resting his elbow on the table. "Well, we should probably get going." I agreed and said good bye to Billie and Tre and walked to his car.
"So, where we going now?" I asked starring out the window.
"Oh, just a place."
"Thanks, that helped a lot." I said rolling my eyes. We drove awhile and we got to a part of town I never saw before. It looked empty and run down. He pulled up to a little run down park, by now it was dark out and the street lights from distant streets were the only light, but was still dim. He opened the door for me and he lead me through the park. We walked further and further into the park and the light started to disappear, until we reached such a beautiful place. It was dark and the moon was shining down was the only light. You could hear the soft sound of crickets and could see the light reflecting off the small pond.
"How could something so beautiful be here amongst this run down area?" I asked still in amazement.
"I don't know, but I found this place when I was little when I came here a lot to play. As I got older I noticed how beautiful place really was." I smiled at him as he looked at me and he lead me to a spot right in front of the small pond. We laid down and looked at the moon. I felt so comfortable around him, and I've never been more happy in my life now that I know him. I rested my head on his chest and listened to his heart beat, as I started to hum the song again. He started to sing along. Sitting in my room last night / staring at the mirror / I couldn't find a reason why / I couldn't be near her / Pictures going through my mind / When we're together / All these long and sleepless nights / Will I ever get better His song slowly lulled me to sleep.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw I was back in my apartment. I sat up in my bed and felt to sun rays that came through my window hit my skin. I got out of bed, still dressed in my attire from last night. I got dressed in some comfortable clothing and walked into the living room. I saw Mike sleeping on the couch with Sweet Child sleeping under his arm. I smiled at such a cute sight and walked into the kitchen next to the living room. I knew Mike loved coffee, so made him some as I got myself a glass of orange juice since I didn't like coffee. *I only keep a coffee maker in my house because of my friends. * I saw Sweet Child come running up to me, so I looked up and saw Mike was awake.
"You making coffee?"
"Yeah."
"I knew that's what I smelled!"
"So, your telling me the smell of coffee woke you up?"
"Yep!"
"That's sad." I said shaking my head as I got a mug for him and he poured himself some coffee. I noticed I had a message on the answering machine, so I walked over and played the message. It was a message from Tony saying he looked me up in the phonebook and he wanted to talk to me, so he was heading over later today. Mike walked over and hugged me.
"I'll stay with you, if you would like."
"That's fine. I really shouldn't be listed in the phonebook." I said shaking my head once again.
