A quite life, chapter 5
Tre woke up on the sofa the next morning with a big hangover, then he wondered why he was on the sofa so he went upstairs into his bedroom to see Laura lying in his bed then it all came back to him seeing her last night, see her lifeless body in the hospital 10 years ago, sneaking off so he wouldn't be noticed. But she didn't know what he had done for her so he left it and went to the kitchen to find his ex wife making coffee.
"Want some" she asked knowing the answer already
"Yer"
"So who's the girl you gave up your bed for then she must be someone special for you to do that"
"Just a mate"
"Aahhh, just a mate I see, so she rejected you then" she said smugly
"no actually she didn't have to reject me cause I didn't ask her for anything okay not every girl I meet is there to have sex with okay" Tre was starting to get a bit annoyed at his ex wife so he left it and walked into the lounge to watch TV.
"DADDY" his so jumped onto the sofa and hugged his dad.
"Hiya son, how's my little rocker"
"I'm cool daddy"
"Good" Tre sad messing his sons hair up at the same time
"Come get some breakfast Frankito" his mum shouted
After that Laura walked into the lounge with one of Tre's over large tops on and a pair of his boxers on.
"Hello, how you feeling"
"Delicate" she said with a slight forced smile on her face
"Okay so you don't want anything to eat do you?"
"No ill be fine I'm just going to get ready and phone a taxi to take me home"
"I'll take you if you like"
"No I'll be okay I mean you guys have done enough for me in the last day I just want to get home on my own"
"Please let me take you then ill know you got home safely"
"Fine let me just get ready" Laura said not arguing because she was to hung over
"Okay, let me go put some shoes and find my keys"
when Tre went to go start the car up he realized he had left it at the bar when Laura came down in her little skirt and a top Tre had given her so she wouldn't be too cold she also realized they had walked home last night
"Dam so do you want me to phone a taxi or are you coming with me to get my car"
"Ill go with you so you're not alone" Laura thought she mite as well because really she didn't want to get a taxi.
"Lets go then unless, well will you be okay in that" pointing at the skirt
"Yer ill be fine, lets just go"
So as they were walking down a street Laura decided to ask, as it had been on her mind all morning
"Tre... "
"Yes"
"Well you know last night at the bar well, you know when I was at the car"
"Yes"
"Well why were you looking at me weirdly"
"Ermm well, its like, you reminded me of someone"
"Who? If you don't mind me asking"
"Cant remember"
"Okay"
Then there was silence until they reached the car. When Tre finally parked up in front of Laura's apartment block, Laura broke the silence
"Thanks for all this, but will I ever see you again"
"Yes, looks gives me your number and ill ring you sometime"
She got a pen out of her bag and wrote her number on a peace of paper.
"There you go ring me please it's been grate meeting you and the others and I will give you some money for last night
"No you didn't have to pay it's my pleasure"
"You sure"
"Well now you mention it, you could do something for me"
"Okay tell me what it its"
"You could let me take you out this Friday night"
Laura laughed at his comment
"Yes sure if that's what it takes for you to be happy"
"Okay Friday night at seven ill pick you up"
"Okay, see you then"
"Okay bye"
"Bye"
Tre leaned over and gave her a kiss on her cheek, with that she got out the car and went up to her room. After she got into her apartment she realized she hadn't gone to work today or even rang them, so she went to her phone to see it already shoed she had 5 missed calls, she pressed the button and listened to them all they were all from Becky
She picked the phone up and called her explaining that she was ill and couldn't come to work after that she got a shower put on her pjs and got something to eat.
Then later on she decided to start on the article on green day...
Tre's POV
When Tre eventually got in he went upstairs and got a shower. Later that evening he took his son out so they could spend sometime together like father and son, which was something they had dent done in quite sometime.
Tre took him to pizza hut then they went to see a film together. On the way home Frankito fell asleep in the back seat, Tre hadn't realized so when they came to a red light Tre started to talk to his son and when he didn't responded he looked behind him and smiled at how innocent his son looked. When they got home he carried him in the house took him upstairs and put him into bed. When he went downstairs he put the kitchen light on went to empty his pockets he put everything on the side then he picked up a little peace of paper an smiled to himself he turned it around to see Laura's number on it and smiled.
