Sitting down, I covered my face with my hands.
"I better get going now Dani." Tre' said hanging up his cell phone.
"Your taking a cab right?"
He nodded.
Tre' got ready and walked out the door. Me and Mike sat there in silence.
"I better get going too."
"ok." I replied quietly.
"Mike," I said holding his hands, "This is hard for me but...This isn't working out."
*Mike's POV*
My heart ripped in half in my chest. I swallowed hard.
"What's n-not working out?"
"I'm so sorry Mike. But I'm in love with Billie, I just..I wanna love him even if I'm not going to be with him. I like you a lot Mike, but our relationship isn't working out."
I held back my forceful tears and kissed her on the cheek. With that I walked out the front door.
Getting into my car I sat there and the first time in a while I let my tears flow. I loved Dani so much, but she just didn't feel the same about me. Turning on the radio, 2000 Light Years Away started to play. I pushed the off button with so much force I broke it. Driving home my tears never stopped to my surprise. After thinking about it, I kind of knew how Billie felt.
*Dani's POV*
I sat back down and put my head in my arms. I must have been crying for hours, thats when I heard the doorbell ring.
"Mommy!" The little girl standing at the door jumped into my arms. I thanked the babysitter and brought Michelle inside.
"Mommy, who is my daddy?"
My face went pale, I tried to smile. She just looked up at me with her green eyes.
"Your daddy was here yesterday." I replied calmly.
"Those thwee boys?"
"The one with the black hair Michelle. You look tired, let's get you too bed."
I picked her up and carried her up to her room. Tucking her into her bed she looked up at me again.
"Mom..."
"Yes Michelle.?"
"When can I see daddy?"
I sighed.
"Soon enough. But you need to get some sleepy hunny. Goodnight."
"Night mommy."
I turned out her light and closed her door.
The doorbell rang once again and I hurried downstairs.
"Who could it be now!?" I whispered to myself.
Throwing open the door there stood Tre' with his hands in his pockets and his usual outfit on.
"Hii... "
"Hey Dani."
"Uhhmm..come in.." I was so confused as to why he was there.
"Dani..I need to talk to you."
*Billie's POV*
"Okay, I need to tell Adrienne the whole truth. She deserves to know."
I stood on my door step, reaching for the doorknob, but too afraid for our marriage.
Standing there, I finally decided two things. One, I would tell Adrienne, and if she forgives me, break it off with Dani. The last part hurt the most, knowing that we had a kid. Finally having the courage, I slowly opened the front door. All the lights were turned off in the house so it was pitch black.
"Adie? Are you home?"
Closing the door behind me, I looked around for the light switch.
I slowly crept upstairs, just in case Joey and Jakob were asleep.
I opened the bedroom door, hearing two voices.
*Danielle's POV*
Gulping hard, I sat down in the living room with Tre'.
I got him a beer, and he took a huge sip, and his hands were shaking.
"Dani... I know this probably isn't the best time for me too tell you but."
He paused, and I stared into his eyes, searching for something. I didn't know what.
"This is a bad time. I'll just tell you later."
He got up from his spot and slowly started to walk away.
"Tre'. Come tell me."
I reached for his hand and he took it as he sat back down.
"Dani I... ..I love... .you... ."
*Mike's POV*
Walking into my house I stormed up to my room and locked the door from who knows what. I took a glass heart Dani had given me and threw it against the wall. I threw all my pillows around my room and took a picture frame and smashed my mirror. Then I just sat on my bed and cried myself to sleep.
