Nobody Likes You So Get Over It, chapter 5
*A few hours later*
*Ev's POV*
"Do you guys know where Billie is?" I asked with worry in my voice.
"Well, he said he'd be back." Mike said.
"But he's not back yet."
"I know. But he's responsible... sometimes... usually... kinda... I think... no wait that's me." Mike said laughing.
"This is not a laughing matter."
"Well, is there anything I can do?"
"Actually yes." I ran to my room and grabbed my book bag. I emptied out all the books and stuff I didn't need.
"Tabitha, stay here. And Mike, you're coming with me." I grabbed his hand and sprinted outside to Berkeley with Mike following behind me.
*In Berkeley*
We walked to the park. I saw Billie sitting at a picnic table with someone who I could not recognize.
"Come on Mike." I said and crawled nearer to Billie but so he couldn't see us. We hid behind a large bush that was about 10 feet from Billie and 'mystery person'.
"Okay, why are we spying on Billie?"
"Because being like 2 and a half hours late is not good. And I'm figuring out who this person is." I sat down and opened my book bag and got out binoculars.
"Why do you have those?"
"Because you never know when you'll need them." I looked through the binoculars at Billie and his 'mystery person'. I gasped. Billie had kissed Loral... again! I lowered the binoculars and stood up and ran to Billie and pushed them apart.
"Billie! You fucking idiot! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!" I ran away as fast as I could. Then Mike stood up.
"My gosh Billie!" he looked up.
"Mike! I-"
"I don't wanna hear it! You promised her that you wouldn't go out or even kiss Loral!"
"I know but-"
"She liked you and you hurt her... AGAIN! Fuck off Billie." Those were the last words of Mike who ran after me.
*Nobody's POV*
Eveline kept walking until Mike caught up with her.
"What do you want Mike?"
"Listen... Billie's an idiot."
"One word, Loral. Why would he do that?"
"Maybe it had to do with the advice I gave him." Eveline stopped and turned to Mike.
"You told him do go out with her?"
"No! He asked for my advice and I gave him some."
"YOU TOLD HIM TO GO BACK TO LORAL?!"
"NO! No! I told him to go with one of them and he wouldn't tell me what they were."
"Oh. Well, he's still an idiot and I'm never going to forgive him."
"You don't have to. But will you come to our band practice?"
"Umm... "
"For me?" Mike asked sweetly.
"Sure. When is it?"
"Uhh... Tuesday at 4:30."
"Cool. I'll be there."
"And I'll make sure that Billie stays away from you so you aren't tempted to kill each other." Eveline started to laugh.
"I have to tell him something very important. First of all, I give up. Loral wins. She can have him. Billie can be stupid and go out with someone who has kissed every guy."
"You mean every guy in the school'."
"Yeah. Every guy in the scho-... wait, have you kissed her?" Mike looked at her stunned.
"Me?" Ev nodded.
"Yeah."
"You think I kissed-. No! Don't be nuts! I wouldn't kiss her."
"Yeah you did."
"No I didn't!"
"Fine."
"I didn't!"
"I know!"
"No, you think that I kissed her."
"No Mike. I believe you." she said and started to walk back toward the cottage.
"I never kissed Loral!"
"I wouldn't think that."
"But you do!" Mike said walking after her.
"No I don't."
"Yes you do!"
"I do not think you have ever kissed her!"
"I never did so just drop it."
"Alright! Geez Mike." They walked for about 10 seconds before Mike started to talk.
"Ahh! The guilt is killing me! Alright! Alright. I admit it. I kissed Loral before." Eveline quickly jumped around to face Mike.
"I knew it! When?"
"Two years ago."
"Haha! I'm always right!" They walked back to the cottage just talking about random stuff. When they got back to the cottage, they walked in the door and walked to the
couch and sat down. Then Eveline and Mike heard a scream from upstairs. They sprinted up to Kaylah/Tre's room and opened the door.
"Oh my freakin gosh!" Eveline said when she saw Tre, Kaylah, and Tabitha sitting on the bed next to each other watching a scary movie. "You scared me so much!" Eveline said.
"Well, we'll leave you two since we know that everything is alright." Mike said closing the door.
The front door opened and in walked Billie and Laurel.
*Eveline's POV*
I don't think that Mike heard them walk in because he started to walk down the stairs but I grabbed the back of his shirt, which pulled him down next to me.
"Mike, why did he take 'her' back here?" I whispered.
"I don't know. He's just the kind of person that just doesn't get it." Mike whispered back.
"Well, what do we do?"
"I don't know. Just stay here and avoid killing Loral. I'll go downstairs." Mike said and he walked down the stairs leaving me sitting at the top.
"Hey Billie!"
"Hi Mike."
"Yeah, come here." Mike said and pulled Billie into another room.
"What Mike?"
"Why would you fucking do that?"
"Do what?"
"Are you an idiot?"
"No Mike."
"Well, why would you bring Loral obviously when Eveline is dying of madness upstairs because nobody can believe that you would actually bring Loral back here."
"I like Loral and couldn't care less about Eveline. I made my decision Mike, and Loral is perfect for me."
"Whatever dude. Just remember that when you mess up, Eveline won't be there waiting."
"I'll remember that." Billie walked back to Loral and Mike walked upstairs to me.
"He's an idiot." Mike said and walked to where the others were.
"Billie! I yelled downstairs.
"What Eveline?"
"Just remember that I hate you and I'm not going to the prom with you."
"I'll keep that in mind."
"Fine then." I walked to where Mike, Tabitha, Kaylah, and Tre were to finish the movie. I couldn't enjoy any of it because I was thinking about Billie the whole time. I decided it was time that I talked to him.
"I'm gonna go and talk to Billie." I said while standing up.
"Okay." Tabitha said still watching the T.V. I walked down to where they were and I couldn't find them. Then I heard them running to me and Billie's room. I ran after them but they slammed the door in my face and didn't notice that I was there. All I heard was muffled laughter and I heard the ruffling of clothes. It all happened too fast and it took me a moment to realize what was happening. My face turned white and I started to walk back upstairs to see the others. I walked in and sat down next to Mike. He turned to me.
"Did you talk to him?" he asked. After a few seconds of not talking the others faced me.
"Did you?" Kaylah asked. I started to shake.
"Are you alright?" Tre asked. I was able to get out in a squeaky voice.
"Yeah." But I was really thinking, 'Billie... you fucking bastard. You screwed up a lot this time.'
*Ev's POV*
