Better Thank Your Lucky Stars, chapter 1
Andy and I layed down on the plush blanket beneath the stars. I gazed up at the midnight sky longingly as he sat beside me staring into the dark. He rambled on about his summer with his father Billie Joe in Oakland, until I slapped him on the shoulder and told him to shut up, playingly.
I turned to face Andy to find his own face inches from mine. I stared into his sea green eyes until he spoke again.
"I wish I could see the stars."
"But you can..." I contradicted.
"Why do you think so?"
"Because..." I told him. "Because of the amazing things that have happened to you, because of the amazing things about you, because of the amazing things to come..."
"Do you think our stars are the same?" Andy asked. I thought about this for a moment before answering,
"Yes"
"What do you see in your stars?"
"Me? I see my band becoming something someday..." I looked up at the stars again, lost in my dreams.
"What do you see?" I asked him. I felt a hand move close to mine and Andy laced his fingers with mine. I moved closer to him; it was a chilly night in April.
"What do you see in your stars?" I asked him again.
"You."
