What Mysterious Figure?, chapter 13
"Who's this?" Asked Billie
"You don't need to know. Who are you?" replied the voice.
"I'm Billie fucking Joe! Who the hell are you and what the fuck are you doing at my mother's house?!"
"Ooooh. So you're Billie Joe. Well, when you get out of the hospital, I'm sure you can visit your mother. I must warn you though, your mother nor your children will be here when you arrive."
"Don't you ever fucking touch my sons or my mother!"
"Too late." The voice hung up.
Both Billie and Adrienne began to cry worrying about their two sons.
"Mike and I will go look for Joey and Jakob. Adrienne, you stay here with Billie Joe since they obviously won't let him leave." Tre said.
"Yeah. We'll go. At least you guys will be safe here." Added Mike.
"Are you sure?" Asked Adrienne.
"Yeah, we'll be fine. They're like 2 more children to Tre and I. Plus, you guys would do the same for me or Tre." Tre nodded, agreeing with Mike.
"Be safe and thank you so much." Said Adrienne. Tre replied.
"Don't worry about us, we'll be fine. And, it's no problem."
Mike and Tre each gave Adie and Billie a hug to say goodbye. Then, they left to go on a hunt for Joey, Jakob, and Ollie.
Billie Joe talked the nurses into letting Adrienne stay the night in his hospital room with him. Billie Joe was the only one that had a full night of peaceful sleep. Adrienne was up all night worried sick. The more she tried to fall asleep, the more worried she became. She was afraid that the second she closed her eyes, something terribly horrible would go wrong.
Billie woke up early the next morning and turned his head to look for Adrienne. He found her staring sleeplessly out of the hospital window with a cup of coffee in her hand.
"Adie, come here babe. What's the matter?" Asked Billie Joe.
"I'm just worried about our boys. What if something happens to them? What would we do? I have no idea how I would be able to handle it Billie." Adrienne replied in a distressed way, tearing up again. Billie knew the past few days had been very emotional for Adrienne, and for him as well, but he knew he needed to be strong and be there for his wife.
"I don't know what I would do with out them either. Just keep in mind Tre and Mike are out looking for them right now. They would never let anything happen to Joey or Jakob. They would do anything for our boys. Everything is going to be all right, okay?"
Billie Joe was trying to comfort his wife, but just like Adrienne probably did, he had many things running through his mind. Adrienne looked extremely tired, so Billie told her to go to sleep. At first she refused in case they got a call from Mike or Tre. So, Billie promised that if the phone rang, he would wake her. After a few minutes, Adrienne finally fell asleep, in her loving husband's arms.
Billie loved watching Adrienne when she slept, he thought she looked gorgeous with the morning sun shining in on her beautiful face. Hours passed as Adrienne slept, and the whole time, Billie couldn't stop thinking that as she slept he had the world in his arms. He loved her too much to ever let her be upset about anything.
Early in the afternoon, Adrienne woke and went to go get her and Billie some food. While she was gone Billie Joe received a phone call from Tre.
"Hello?" Answered Billie.
"Billie, we found your boys and mother."
"Are they alright? Do you have them with you?"
"Yeah we think they're okay. They're not with us. Two huge guys with ski masks on took them into some beat up warehouse. A few minutes ago one of the guys left, we're waiting to see if the other one leaves."
"Okay, I'll tell Adrienne the news. Thank you so much Tre. I have no idea how I'll ever be able to repay you or Mike."
"Don't worry about it BJ. We'd do anything for you guys. We'll get them and make sure they're safe. I'll talk to you in a bit."
"Okay, bye."
Billie Joe couldn't wait for Adrienne to return so he could tell her the good news.
"Adrienne! They found mom and the boys!" Yelled a very excited Billie Joe as he saw Adrienne enter the room.
"Are they okay? When will they be back?"
"Well, like I said, they found them. They haven't got them back yet. Tre said he or Mike would call when they did."
"Oh." Was Adrienne's only reply.
As day turned to night, Billie Joe and Adrienne waited, somewhat patiently, for a call from Mike or Tre. Late that night, the Armstrong couple fell asleep.
Meanwhile, back with Mike and Tre. It had been a very long day, and the two rockers felt as if they were getting no where. They wanted to speed up the operation, they wanted the other man to leave. The moment he left everything would be finished. Or at least that's what they hoped would happen.
