What Mysterious Figure?, chapter 8
Four weeks after Tre had left and no had heard from him or seen him. Billie, Adie, and Mike called all his friends and family to see if they knew where he was. No one did. Mike wanted all 3 of them to go look for him, but Billie Joe insisted he go alone.
"Why do you want to go alone? Why can't we come?" asked Mike.
"Because this is something I caused, and I need to fix it alone. I need him back, he is worrying me shit-less." Said Billie as tears started to roll down his face.
"Okay Honey. Be safe." Adrienne said as she gave him a hug and Billie Joe walked out of the house to go looking for Tre.
Mike stayed with Adie so they would both easily know when Billie found Tre. Billie had been searching nearby towns for days and was staying at hotels so that he could get more searching done. Then on the fourth day of searching for Tre, Billie spotted Tre walking down the street. He didn't look to well, he hadn't shaved in awhile and his mohawk looked like shit. Billie pulled over and got out of his car and ran to Tre.
"Tre?" asked Billie
Tre turned around and replied "What the hell do you want?"
"I want you to come back home. We all miss you like crazy. The three of us are a wreck. We need you Tre."
"I'm sure Mike and Adie understand, but Billie, you just don't get it do you? You just don't understand."
Tre then turned around and walked off. Billie followed, but at a distance so he could see which hotel Tre was staying at. After Tre entered the hotel, Billie waited a little bit then entered the same hotel and asked which room Tre was staying in. Tre was on the third floor room 314. Billie phoned Mike and Adie that night to say that he had found Tre, but that he was going to need some time to get him to come back.
Billie knew he really needed to make it up to Tre, but he had no idea how. Finally, he had an idea. Yes, it was a mediocre idea but it would work, or so he hoped it would work. He wrote Tre a note and slid it under his door early the next morning.
The next morning Tre woke up and on his way to the bathroom, noticed
Something lying on the ground. It was the letter Billie Joe had written him. He read it, and could see that Billie had been really upset and really did mean what he said.
The letter read...
