I looked towards Billie. His face was speechless. He just grabbed Adrienne by the arm and left.
"This better have worked." I mumbled to myself, but not loud enough for Tre to hear. That's the last thing I wanted him to hear. I pulled away from the kiss and stared at the ground.
Tre Looked at me in amazement. "Wow I didn't know you had it in you."
I looked up. "I didn't." I said quietly. I had doubt in my mind that it didn't work. So what else to do but make him more jealous? I don't know. I'll think about it.
I grabbed Tre's arm and led him to the car. "Lets go."
Tre followed. Of course he did. I had a hold of his arm. "Ok." Tre replied.
The car ride was pretty quiet all the way home.
I just kept thinking in my mind, Why did I kiss Tre? That was pretty stupid. It just brings back memories from when Tre and I went out.
Tre dropped me off home. "Hey, can I walk you to the door?" Tre asked me.
I smiled. "Sure."
Tre got out and walked me up. When we got up there I looked at him. "Well I don't know what to say except thanks for taking me home." I said twiddling with my fingers.
"Hey, not a problem. I wanted to. Oh and thanks for the kiss." Tre replied smiling.
I gave him a hug and a kiss on the lips. It was a quick one that didn't mean anything.
As soon as I walked in, Liz was at the window watching Tre drive away. "Liz! What are you doing?"
Liz looked away from the window. "Oh sorry, but after seeing you and Tre kiss... It was awesome to watch."
I gave Liz a weird look. "Um... Ok... Wait, you saw us? When?"
"Just a minute ago... And in the parking lot. I thought you liked Billie?" Liz responded heading over to the couch.
I walked over to the couch and sat next to her. I sighed. "I don't know. Have you ever had feeling for two people and you don't know who to go with or what to do?" I asked.
Liz shrugged. "Once. It was a long time ago."
I nodded. "Ok, well I'm tired so I'll see you tomorrow."
Liz turned on the TV. "Ok, want me to get you up in the morning to get some breakfast?"
"Ok."
I'm so tired. To tired to think about Billie or Tre. I decided to get a quick shower and crawl into bed.
"Emily, Emily. Wake up! People are here and want you out of bed." I slowly woke up to Liz shaking me. "Yeah, what?" I said rubbing my eyes sitting up.
"Mike and Tre are here. They want to get something to eat with us... Well Mike does. I think Tre just came here to see you."
I sighed. "All right I'm coming."
I grabbed some clothes and changed. I also did my eye makeup. I saw Mike, Tre, and Liz were at the kitchen table talking.
Liz noticed me coming down the stairs. "Oh there you are. Come here were leaving." Liz threw my coat at me in a playful manner.
I giggled. "Touchy much?" Liz flipped me off.
"Hey, how dare you!" I shouted to her. She turned around and laughed.
Tre and I sat in the back while Liz and Mike sat upfront. I swear after last night, they never get enough of each other. They should get married. Seriously. They've known each other for a while, and it's going good. Maybe they will someday tie the knot... And maybe so will Billie with Adrienne.
Ok, ok I have got to get him off of my mind! If he wants me back, then he will come to me. I guess I could hang with Tre for a while.
"So Tre, How are you?" I asked, but sounded so stupid. Hey I'm trying to make conversation here people.
Tre smiled. "Oh my god. You're speaking to me! I'm fine now that you're talking to me." I smiled.
Yep I think I will like Tre. He is funny.
Mike and Liz were talking about something funny because they would not stop laughing. "Hey Tre and Emily, Where do you want to eat?"
I asked Tre. He didn't care.
"We don't care. Just as long they cook food." Mike and Liz laughed at Tre's antics as Mike pulled into a dinner.
"Ok lets eat." Liz said getting out of the car.
Tre and I walked into the diner and so did Mike and Liz. We ordered our food and talked.
Mike'sphone rang. "Hello?... Yeah?... OMG! I'm so happy for you! Ok bye!" Mike hung up the phone.
"Who was that?" Liz asked.
"It was Billie. Him and Adrienne are pregnant!" Mike happily announced.
My heart sunk. WHAT? I wanted to cry, but not in front of the three of them.
"Wow." That was all I could say.
Tre's mouth was filled with toast. "Do they know if it's going to be a boy or a girl?"
Liz shot Tre a funny look. "Tre you idiot. They just found out! How old are you? Like twenty-two and you don't know that yet?"
Tre shrugged.
When we finished eating we drove back home. I was in the back looking out the window. I felt a tear drip down my face. Don't cry. Not now, at least not in front of Tre.
But Tre already knew I was crying. "Emily what's wrong?" I looked at him with now tears rolling down my face.
"Ill tell you later." Tre nodded.
Mike dropped off Liz after a while. "Hey Emily are you going in too?" Mike asked me. I looked at Tre. "Mike, I think Emily is going home with me." Mike shrugged.
"Ok whatever."
Next, Mike dropped Tre and I off. I sat down on his couch with him.
"Emily what's going on? Why are you upset?"
I was trying to hold back some tears but they kept coming. "Tre, Remember when Billie and I went out, and then I left him?" Tre nodded.
"Well... I left because... Well you know, my dad was going to hurt him. Then I told you, and then you and I slept together and-"
Tre stopped me. "You mean you still remember?" Tre said very impressed.
I nodded. "Yes. Anyways, I stayed with Liz until she told me about Mike and Billie. Then he comes here with another girl, and now they are together... But then when I left I had feelings for your, and I still do now."
Tre hugged me. "I sort of had feeling for you too." Tre told me. I looked up from the hug.
"You did?"
Tre shook his head. "Yep and still do!"
I felt loved in his hug. "Thanks." Just then the light went out from the thunderstorm that had developed. I yawned.
Tre looked at me. "Are you tired?" I nodded. Tre looked at the clock. It read 12:47.
"Do you want to get some sleep here?" Tre offered me.
"Thanks, sure." I stood up with Tre.
"Ok, I'm kind of tired too Emily. I'll sleep on the couch if you want."
"No, you can sleep with me if you want."
At that point, Tre's eyes glittered with happiness. Tre followed me up to his room.
I lay down next to him. I was about to fall asleep when Tre's arms wrapped around me. I wasn't going to leave anyone anymore.
I fell asleep with Tre, and the next thing I knew Tre was waking me up. "Hey you want to go see a movie or get something to eat?"
I smiled. "Sure sounds great."
Tre and I went out for dinner and chose to see a movie. Even though I was sleeping earlier I grew tired once again. Tre wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. His body warmed me up.
I guess it is time for me to give up on Billie. Maybe I was meant to be with Tre all along...
