This Is How Green Day Helped Me With My Life, chapter 9
Tre left to go to his other friend's house for a bit which left Billie, Mike and I behind.
I remembered that I had spent the night and never went and told my mom.
"Billie I have to leave. My mom is probably freaking out!"
Billie offered to walk me home.
"No I'm sorry but I don't want my mom to freak out."
Bilie understood and let me go.

"Mom, mom, mom." I saw my mom in the kitchen.
"Where the hell have you been Emily! You got me worried."
"Uh mom I'm 19. You don't need to worry." My mom pulled out of the hug that we where in.
"What do you mean I don't need to worry? Emily I care about you!"
"Mom really I'm fine I was over at Mike'shouse." My mom didnt look to happy.
"Amber you don't need to be over at guys' houses."
I couldn't believe what my mom was saying.
"Mom look around. How many times have I allways been out late? Huh? The late nights I would allways be out on, The time you allways saw me with Billie and you havent said anything about it?"
I was about to walk out and go to Billie's.
"Emily where are you going?"
"I'm goimng to Billie's house." My mom rolled her eyes.
"Fine." I had quickly went up the stairs to change and left for Mike's house.
Mike let me in his house.
"Hey Emily whats wrong?" I sat on the chair. I guess they knew something was up.
"I just got in a huge fight with my mom and don't want to talk about it!" I snapped.
Mike moved away from me seeing that I didn't want to be bothered. I accidently made Mike mad.
"Mike I'm sorry."
Mike sat next to me. "Where is Billie?"
"Oh well Billie went over to Tre's house. I think Tre had to talk to him." I shrugged and turned on the TV.
Mike moved a little too close to me but I didnt want to say anything to make him feel bad.
Suddenly Billie came through the door and Mike moved back like a foot away from me. Luckly Billie didnt notice.
"Hey one of Tre's friends named Laurence invited us to play over at his house." Billie said quite cheerfully. Then Billie noticed me.
"Oh you're back.. Since when?"
"Since like 15 minutes ago."
Billie shrugged. Billie and Mike packed their amps and guitars.
"Let's go."
I told Billie I needed to go home and straighten things out with my mother.
Bilie and Mike proceeded to his house.

My mom saw me come through the front door and called me into the living room.
"Emily come here please." I sighed becuase I didnt want to come in there.
"Yes I'm coming."
My mom was sitting on the sofa with a book in hand.
"I'm sorry about earlier. I shouldnt have yelled at you." I nodded
"It's fine." I went up to my room and collapsed onto my bed. I slowly closed my eyes...
My opend my eyes to Billie there starring at me. It startled me to death. I must have feel asleep.
"Hey."
"Hey you know you look so cute while you're sleeping?" I chuckled to myself.
"Thanks."
Billie then change the subject.
"Hey guess what?"
"What? "
"We preformed at Tre's friends house, Larry someone and He asked us if we wanna put out a record!" My face lit up.
"Are you kidding me? Thats so awesome."
Billie smiled.
"Yea but now that we're going to have an album out were thinking about changing our name to Green Day becuase Sweet Children will never get by."
"I love that name!" I hugged Billie. I was so happy for him.
"Wait how did you get in here?" I wondered.
"Oh your mom let me in here."
"Oh ok?" I went downstairs with Billie. My mom was in the kitchen. She saw Billie and I come down the stairs. When she saw Billie she gave me a dirty look but Billie luckly didn't notice.
I told Billie to wait for me outside.
"Mom I thought you were ok with this?" I said perfusly. My mom slamed down her book.
"No I'm not ok. He just going to get to you like your father did!" My mom didn't know what she was talking about.
"Emily young lady this has been going on for about a month and you have really done it! When you get back we will go further with this discussion."
I shot my mom a dirty look and went out with Billie.
"What was going on?" Billie asked.
"Oh I just had to talk to my mom." I said. He didnt have to know the real reason.
We met up with Mike and Tre at Larry something's house.
Tre was telling us when they wanted us to start recording.
"We will start monday." Tre replied. After we met up with them we went to eat pizza at Mike's we picked up the pizza on the way home and at it. There was nothing else to do.
"Hey lets play Truth or Dare." Tre suggested. Mike looked at Tre.
"No becuse Emily is the only girl." Tre looked at Mike weiredly.
"So? Your point is?"
Mike shrugged.
"Ok lets do it. You want to Emily?"
I looked up from talking to Billie.
"Actually I have to be getting back. Sorry." I gave Billie a kiss good bye and left. I knew what was going to happen at home.
I walked into the door where my mom was. I was angry. She can't ruin my fun. Ever since my dad was abusive she has been so damn protective of me!
"Ok mom let's have it!" I shouted. My mom got up.
"Emily you won't shout at me! If you will listen to me then you will be home everynight at 6:00 at night no later."
"What? No way! You can't do this!" I so didnt want to talk about it anymore. I was about to head out the door when my mom stopped me.
"Emily if you walk out this door don't even think about ever coming back!"
My mom yelled. I stopped at the door glaring at her. Then I walked out the door...
