Raising Juliet, chapter 10

Juliet and Joey climbed out the car once again. Joey looked around like he was hiding from something or someone.
"Well I guess I'll see you later!" Juliet sighed, thinking Joey would run off to his friends.
"Erm...Were are you going?" He asked.
"What? You never want to hang around with me!" Juliet said knowing something was not right.
"I just want to now!" Joey's friends walked up to him.
"Come on Joey! People will start to talk!" They laughed, dragging him away from Juliet.
"Erm...Juliet! Meet me outside the canteen at lunch." Juliet frowned.

Joey and his friends were around the back of the school. No teachers went around there. It was out of bounds to students.
"So Joe! Going to be brave?" They laughed shoving the bag in his chest.
"No! No thanks!" He gave it back and started turning away.
"Oh, come on Joey! You're already in trouble for being around here! If you don't..." He pointed his head to the graffiti wall.
"Hey come on you guys! I just...It's dangerous. My dad would kill me!" Joey sighed.
"And he wouldn't for doing that?" he replied, pointing to the wall.
"Well...He kind of knows I do that, but come on!" Joey started walking away.
"Made the wrong choice Joe!"

Juliet was outside the canteen, all on her own waiting for Joey.
"Give your brother this he left it!" Joey's mate said to Juliet.
"Oh, thanks!" She wondered why he wasn't with them. She opened up his bag to make sure everything was in there.
"Cell phone, pod-pod, pencil case, books, Dru...." She pulled out a sandwich bag with white powder inside. She put it in her bag quickly as Joey ran around the corner.
"Hey!" He smiled.
"Hi! Here is your backpack! Is there anything you want to tell me Joe Joe?" She asked politely.
"No." He laughed.
"Then why aren't you with your friends?" She asked.
"They have been doing bad things lately! You know... Let's just say it's very...Jesus of Suburbia!" He said.
"Ok! Thanks for telling me. I'm just going to the toilet wait here!" She ran inside with the sandwich bag in her pocket. She checked no one was in the toilets. She put a bit of water in the bag to dilute the powder and held it over the toilet.
She counted to three and let the bag drop. She flushed the toilet.
The bag wouldn't flush.
She heard some people come and she casually walked out.
"Joey. Please don't let your friends influence you." She said.
"Ok." He laughed.
"I'm not joking!" He stopped smirking.
"They planted that stuff in your bag." Joey went white.
"I never did that stuff! That's why I met you..."
"I know Joey!" She shouted. "Forget it!"
