Raising Juliet, chapter 11
Juliet was in her room finishing her course work. Joey entered her room and sat down on her bed.
"Juliet. What did you do with the...stuff?" he asked.
"I told you! I flushed it. Why?" she said, concerned.
"We could have sold it!"
"Joey! Haven't you learned your lesson! If you had took the drugs that would be suicide to me. But selling them, it's murder."
"Juliet, come on! Don't be such a drama queen. If I took them you said it would be suicide, but if I bought them off someone would it be murder. So I wouldn't be killing anyone by selling the drugs they would be committing suicide!"
"What! Whatever! Joey, you're just as bad as your friends!" She walked out the room and went downstairs to Adrienne in the kitchen.
"Mom, what would you do if I said..."
"What honey?" Adrienne said.
"Never mind." She ran of to the music room were Billie was.
"Dad!" Billie unplugged blue and put the guitar on its stand.
"What's up princess?" he said.
"Would you be really disappointed if I was selling illegal stuff?" she asked.
"What, like copied DVDs?"
"Sort of. But more illegal if you know what I mean?" Juliet asked.
"Ok, is this going somewere?" he asked.
"No it's just...." Adrienne burst in the room.
"Ow, sorry, hun! Billie, I need to speak to you!" She grabbed Billie and rushed out the room.
They went into their bedroom. Adrienne shut the door and locked it then threw five pregnancy tests on the bed.
"Every single one, Billie! Everyone!" She put her hands in her head.
"Ow, shit! No more kids! I need to pay more attention to Juliet, she's..." Billie said.
"You know maybe you should get the snip!" Adrienne suggested.
"No way! I love my...I'm not getting any snip, snap or snuw, ok!" he finished.
"Well, what are we going to do? Are we gonna go through with it?" she asked.
Juliet banged on the door.
"Mom, let me in!" she yelled.
"Wait, sweety!" Her and Billie threw all the tests under the bin.
She unlocked the door and Juliet stepped in.
"What were you doing?" she asked, curious.
"Nothing," they said unnaturally.
"Well o...."Juliet saw one of the tests on the floor.
"Never mind." she said with a lump in her throat.
"Juliet!"
"Love you, daddy, going out!" she yelled running downstairs.
"I'm going to the doctor's!" Adrienne said.
