Raising Juliet, chapter 3
"What's the point! Why cant we have stayed at home! Jakob's so looky!" Juliet moaned.
"What's up with you Jewls? You used to love coming to these awards with me!" Billie asked her.
"Yeah well... Its just kids at school think.. They get so jealous of me. Its really annoying." She said." I hope they don't watch it!"
"Ow yeah! No one watches the VMA awards. Only everyone in the English speaking world!" Joey sniggered.
"OK you two that's enough! Now me snd your mother will be getting interviewed quite a lot so Joey keep an eye on your sister!"
"But that's not fair I'm older!" Juliet yelled making the driver swerve a bit.
"Yes, but all you do is go looking for Frank Iero and Benji madden!" Juliet shrugged a bit knowing that's what she was planning and going to do.
Finally the Limo pulled up and everyone got out the car. Juliet stood on her tiptoes trying to look for any cute guys. Basically Frank or Benji.
Joey grabbed her shoulder pulling her down as if she wasn't meant to be seen.
Billie and Adrienne were about to walk of.
"Kids! Don't leave each other alone OK! And be at our seats 15 minutes before it starts. Juliet no boys Joey no... Pranks or sarcasm!" Adrienne said getting dragged away by Billie.
"I will give you 5 bucks to leave me alone!" Juliet said.
"20"Joey said holding out his hands.
"OK but don't get lost and watch out for Mom and dad. Don't talk to fans or strangers and if you get caught don't grass me up!" Juliet said.
"Deal!" He snatched the money from her hand and skipped of. Juliet could now start her mission.
"Finally I can talk to Frank properly!" She said to herself out loud realizing that a load of fans were staring at her.
"Juliet! Oh my God Billie Joe's daughter!" A few fans all wearing matching GSB t shirts screamed.
Juliet waved at them not looking were she was going, SMACK!
"I'm so sorry I..." She looked up to see a smiling friendly face. She found what she was looking for but better!
"That's OK it was my fault! Your that Billie's daughter aren't you!" The person said.
"Yeah! Your bands so cool! Erm... Hi!" Juliet said wiping her sweaty palms on her dress.
"Hi. Thank you! What's your name?" He asked. Juliet was blushing.
"Juliet." She said.
"Preston. Well, its Samuel but I prefer Preston. Its my last name! Julie's a sweet name!"
"Thank you! I think Preston's cool!" She said complementing him back!
"Thanks!" They stood there silent for a bit.
"You up for any awards?" Juliet asked him trying to break the silence.
"Yeah best European group and we are performing. Your dad is as well isn't he?"
He asked.
"Yeah! Joy!" She laughed.
Joey looked at his 20 dollars wishing and knowing he could have pushed his sister to 50!
"My problem is I'm to nice for my own good!" He said looking at the note.
He went up to the food counter and slammed the note on the counter.
"1 of everything please erm... Susan!" He said reading her name tag.
"Coming up!" She sighed.
She kept putting food on Joey's table whilst Joey stuffed his face. A few girls his age walked past his table smiling at him. They sat down at his table with him.
"WASS UPP!" He smirked still eating. The girls giggled.
"Heres the last of your order sir!" The waitress Susan said.
"Thanks Suse!" He threw aside his burger and picked up a double.
"Can we have some!" One of the girl asked. Joey suddenly stopped smirking.
"You no my sister calls me fat but I'm just a growing boy!" He said. The girls looked at each other.
"Can we?" She asked again. Joey grabbed all his food and rapped his arm round it.
The young girls scowled and left him alone to finish his food.
"And don't come back!" He shouted with a mouth full of fries.
"Erm sir you paid me 40 dollars short!" Susan said.
"OH no! Put it on my tab!" He said.
Meanwhile Juliet was making out with Preston in one of the limos.
"How old are you?" Juliet asked Preston.
"I'm 17." He said.
"I'm 15! Doesn't it bother you?" She said.
"No! If you think I'm one of those guys that all they want is sex then think again!"
Juliet smiled leaning back in again. She looked up at her watch.
"Oh my gosh! I have to go. I need to find my brother. I need to go inside!"
"But Juliet!"
"Sorry!"
"Heres my number! I love you!" He said kissing her as if it would be the last time ever!
