Raising Juliet, chapter 6
Joey popped up from round the corner. "You sad little bitches!" he said staring at them in disgust. Juliet and Emma finally came down. Katie and Hannah looked nervous. Busted!
"What's going on? Joey stop bothering us!" she yelled at him.
"It's not me, it's your sad little mates trying to get mom and dad to divorce!" he yelled. Little Jakob rushed downstairs crying.
"I don't want mommy or daddy to go!" he cried. Juliet picked him up.
"They're not going to baby!" she said passing him to Joey. A grin spread across Emma's face. She knew and Juliet knew that if she asked them to leave they would start picking on Juliet not her.
"We're sorry Julie! We just really admire your dad. I think you took it the wrong way Joseph!" Hannah said. The smile on Emma's face vanished.
"She got off with Preston!" Emma screamed. Suddenly all three girls faces turned. Emma looked evil, Hannah looked like she was going to kill her and Katie copying Hannah's face.
"What does that mean?" Julie asked. The girls looked at Emma sighing.
"Made out!" Joey finished.
"Ow thanks a lot Joey!" Juliet finished. The girls ran upstairs and started packing their things away and left. It was time for Joey and Juliet to have fun.
"I'm bored!" they moaned.
"Lets...make a band!" Joey laughed. They both got changed in to wacky rock outfits and headed to the sound proof music room. "Lets call ourselves the...Black stripes!" Joey said.
"No Red Stripes!" Juliet insisted.
"Ok Black and Red stripes!" Joey laughed playing beats on his dads drum.
"Ok. Shall we record it?" Julie asked her brother walking to the sound system.
"Dad said not to when he's not around," Joey said.
"Who cares." Juliet fiddled with the switches. "There, it's going to play in 5 4 3 2."
They started playing quite badly, the only thing good about it was Juliet's singing.
After a while they were excellent. It was now 3.00. "Joey mom will be here soon!" Juliet and Joey put everything in its place and ran in bed. It was silent for 10 minutes.
"Night Jewl`s!" Joey shouted to her across the hall.
"Night bruv!"
Next day Juliet had to face school. She knew Hannah, Katie and Emma were not popular yet but they were friends with the popular people and were on there way.
She walked in the classroom waving to every person staring at her. "You're a bit full of yourself since everyone's looking at you!" The queen bee Laura yelled.
"That's cause she's pretty!" A voice said from behind her.
"Preston!" she ran in his arms.
"I just came to say your dad cont pick you and your brothers up from school today so he asked if I could," he said.
"Sure but how are you going to get all the way from... Wait I'm sure you said...you're English," she finished.
"Yeah but we're on tour. Actually your dad said they need a new support band so I might be doing that. I can see you more then!" he said kissing her nose then lips.
"Ok." They kissed one last time and he left. Juliet turned around to look at her class.
"Bet you're staring now!" she laughed.
"What's going on? Joey stop bothering us!" she yelled at him.
