And He Just Left, chapter 1

*1988*

"Oh my God, it's a girl!" 16 year old Billie Joe Armstrong yelled as he laid eyes on the baby. He couldn't believe it. He's a father of a baby girl. He looked down at his long time girlfriend Michelle Johnson. She was sweaty and out of breath but was smiling proudly at her new daughter.

They were only 16, but they felt responsable enough to handle this baby. His mother cried when she told him. Not cause she was mad or sad, because she was happy. Michelle's mother didn't take it well. She kicked her out so she moved in with Billie and Mike, their other friend.

The doctor handed the baby to Billie and he was instantly in a trance that he could help create someone so beautiful. "What should we name her?" he asked quietly.

"Megan. Megan Michelle." Michelle said.

"Megan it is then." he said. He kissed his daughter on the cheek.

She opened her eyes and looked up at him. He smiled. He knew that he would be with them forever. He was wrong.

*1991*

"Geez Billie! I've waited all day for you to came pick her up. You're late!" Michelle yelled when she opened her door.

Unfortunately, last year her and Billie broke up. She cheated on him, so he left. But, he still sees Megan.

"I know. Practice ran late." he said as he walked in the door.

She was about to answer but they heard a little pitter patter of feet and Billie's beloved daughter came into view.

He smiled when he saw her.

"Daddy!" she yelled and ran her little three year old legs over to him.

He opened his arms and scooped her up in them. "Hey Meg! How are you?" he kissed her head.

"Good." she said and wrapped her arms around his neck then pecked him on he cheek.

He smiled, and looked over at Michelle.

"Here. Bring her back tomorrow night." she said, handing him her bag.

He nodded. "I know." he said. With that, he walked out the door.

*AT BILLIE'S HOUSE*

Billie had gone to take a shower and hesitantly let Megan stay in the living room to color.

She was coloring a picture of Barney, when she heard a knock on the door. She looked at the bathroom door in which her father was behind and at the front door.

She shrugged and got up and opened the door.

There was a woman there with brown hair in dreadlocks and brown eyes looking down at her.

"Oh sorry. I thought my boyfriend Billie Joe lived here. I must have got the wrong address." she said, then turned but Megan stopped her.

"Wait! Biwwie Joe Awmswong?" Megan lisped in her three year old way.

She turned, confused.

"Yea."

"Oh. He's here. Hold on." she turned to the bathroom door. "Daddy!"

She turned back to the woman who looked at her in shock. "Billie's your dad?" she said quietly.

Megan nodded then heard the bathroom door open. She turned to her father. He saw her at the door with it open. Then he saw the woman and his eyes widened.

"Adrienne! Wha-what are you doing here?" he asked strdding over to pick up his daughter.

"I came to surprise you and I find out you've been lying to me." Adrienne says, glaring at Megan, who shrank back in her father's arms.

He put her down. "Go to your room sweetheart. I'll be there soon."

She nodded and ran away from Adrienne.

He turned to look Adrienne square in the eye. "I didn't lie. I just didn't tell you I had a three year old daughter." he said.

"Well you should have. Geez Billie! We've been going out a year! How could you not tell me about her? It's important!" she yelled. He winced.

"Just listen. I didn't tell you cause I was afraid yuou were gonna leave. Her mother cheated on me when she was one and then I found you and I didn't want anything of the sort to happen between us." he pleaded.

"You still should have told me! I would have understood! Now your just a liar." Adrienne said.

He was about to answer when he saw Michelle turn the corner. "Michelle!" he said.

Adrienne gave him a fierce look and turned to look and realized what she was up against.

Michelle was beatiful with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes and a model's figure. And they had a daughter together, who was beautiful in her own way. She had Billie's red-brown hair and bright green eyes, just like him. They looked like a perfect family, but they weren't.

"Hi Billie Joe." she said, eyeing Adrienne.

"Uhhh-" Billie stuttered for the first time time in his life.

"Adrienne." Adrienne said. "His girlfriend."

"Uh Michelle. Ex and mother of his child." she said, a little bit of bitterness in her voice.

"I see." Adrienne says. "Billie, I really need to talk to you."

She said, pulling him inside.

She was about to talk but Michelle followed.

"What?"

"I need to go talk to my daughter. Keep on. I'm not here." She said, turning down the hall.

Adrienne growled under her breath a little before looking at Billie.

"Okay, you might not like this, but you have a choice."

"What?"

"Her or me."

"What?" he asked shocked.

"You heard. Your daughter, who will leave after high school, or me for the rest of your life." Adrienne said, folding her arms across her chest.

Billie looked at her increadiously. "You can't be serious?"

"Damn serious. Choose." she said.

'Oh my god! I have to chose! But who? I can't seriously be debating this! She's my daughter and I love her so fuckin much. She's my other half, my whole heart. I can't debate this. Tell Adrienne to get the hell out! ' But that's not what he did.

He was about to, but Megan and Michelle came in the room.

He helplessly looked between Megan's sweet face and Adrienne's mad one.

"Well?" Adrienne said, tapping her feet. "Choose."

"Choose what?" Michelle said.

Adrienne told her and her eyes went wide. "And this is hard for you?"

He didn't answer but closed his eyes as the answer came to him. He turned to Megan's angelic innocent face. Adrienne gasped behind him.

He walked over to her. He squated down and cupped her face in his hands and softly kissed her forhead, tears starting come out.

He looked up at Michelle, who's face was shocked, knowing that as a goodbye kiss.

He got to his feet and went and put his arm around Adrienne's waist, his choice. Her face was smug now as she looked at Michelle and Megan.

He glanced at Michelle, who's eyes where wet and shocked.

She nodded and picked up Megan. "Come on honey." she said quietly.

"But, I'm with daddy tonight." she whined.

"Yea, but he doesn't want you." Michelle said cooly.

Billie closed his eyes in pain. And opened them, barely seeing right through tears.

He saw Megan look back at his ove Michelle's retreating back. Tears dripped down her face and soaked Michelle's sleeve.

"I thought daddy loved me?" she said pitifully. Billie wanted to break away from Adrienne and run up to her and assure her he did, but it was too late.

"I thought so too honey." he heard Michelle mutter.

He closed his eyes in pain again. He can't believe he picked a girl over his daughter, something he promised everyone he wouldn't do. Tears ran their way down his face and onto his shirt.

Adrienne looked over at Billie. Her her happy face turned to a frown as she saw how he was reacting to this. And realized what she had done and she felt horrible. Bit was to late to turn back.

Billie opened his eyes again to see the hall desserted. Megan had walked right out of his life, but not forever.

*2003*

Billie, Tre, Mike and Adrienne walked up the steps of the New York orphanage.

"Tell me again why were here?" Billie asked his wife.

"Cause. I like playing with the liitle kids." Adrienne answered.

"We have two at home." Billie said laughing.

"But it's differnt here. These kids have no parents. It's nice and feels good to come and hang out with them." she said, taking his arm.

He sighed. "Okay."

They walked into the building and where imidiately escorted back to a room.

The door opened and they saw at least 50 kids of all ages playing around.

Adrienne sighed happily and walked over and imediatly started playing with the little kids. Billie walked with his friends as they walked around and looked at all the kids there. There where so many of them and it made Billie a little sad to think of all these kids with no parents.

They got to the back of the very large room and saw a group of teenagers haging out.

They got closer and heard them talking. There were two girls and two boys.

"Well that's your problem now ain't it?" A boy with blonde hair and green eyes said.

"No it's yours Leon." A girl with blonde hair and brown eyes said. The other two teens laughed.

"She's got ya Le." the other boy said. He had red hair and brown eyes.

"Shut it Kyle." Leon growled.

"Hey. You're the one who ran away and you knew they where gonna catch you." The last girl said. Billie thought she looked oddly familiar with red-brown hair and green eyes.

"Nobody asked you Megan." Leon grumbled and plopped himslef in a seat.

The girls laughed.

The one, Megan, gaining his attention. The fact that she looked just like him. His eyes went wide with knowledge.

She looked exactlly like him. She was his daughter.
