"I've Done Twins", chapter 13
"Courtney.... These bags are heavy!" Moaned Billie, throwing the bags onto the
ground.
"A true gentleman carries the woman's bags," Grinned Courtney.
"It wouldn't kill you to carry ONE bag," He snapped.
"It might of."
"I've had just about enough of you!" Laughed Billie, tackling Courtney onto the bed.
Courtney giggled and squealed as Billie Joe tickled her madly.
"Billie! Stop! I can't breath!" She laughed. Billie stopped and kissed her forehead.
"That's what you get for being cheeky."
She giggled again and pushed him away.
"You're so cruel to me," She snapped.
"I am not," He protested, "I'm always kissing and cuddling you, I don't...violate you
like Mike does to your sister."
"Oh, violate!" She scoffed, "They had sex, big whoop!"
"That IS a big whoop," Billie said, "Mike...had SEX with YOUR twin sister!" He
grinned, "So if you think about it, he's kinda seen you naked!"
Courtney slapped Billie's arm, "That's disgusting! Ew! Don't say that, I'll have
nightmares!"
"Man," Grunted Jason, "It's kinda hot here." He pulled at his shirt, fanning himself.
"Yeah," Tre agreed, pulling his shirt over his head and throwing it onto the floor.
"I was expecting, like, kangaroo's to be jumping down the streets, considering it's
Australia."
"Nah," Tre mumbled, "They live in the outback bits. Y'know, like, with all those other
animals."
"Like the tiger?" Asked Jason excitedly.
"I don't think there ARE tigers in Australia."
"I saw one in the zoo, once.... Or twice."
"Y'know what we should do?" Grinned Tre.
"I don't think I want to know, I mean, you ARE shirtless right now." Joked Jason.
"Oh haha," Tre snapped sarcastically, "No, I think we should get in a potato sack and
race down the streets pretending to be kangaroos!"
"That's a great idea!" Laughed Jason, "But where are we gonna get potato sacks
from?"
Tre shrugged, "C'mon, we'll go find something!"
15 Minutes Later...
Jason and Tre jumped furiously down the main street of Townsville and across the
Victoria Bridge. People stared, and moved, guarding their children and laughing at the
boys. They both had actual kangaroo costumes, complete with tails, ears and a little
pouch, with stuffed Joey's (baby kangaroos) in them.
"I'M SKIPPY!" Shouted Tre. Jason quickly peered over his shoulder and saw police.
"Shit! Skip faster!" He shouted at Tre. The finished crossing the bridge and found
themselves in the city. People were scattered everywhere.
"Where are we gonna hide?" Asked Tre.
"Just blend in with the people," Jason replied, trying to look casual.
"We CAN'T blend in!" He shouted, "We're dressed like fucking kangaroos!"
"True," Jason nodded calmly, "But...uh... we're realistic looking kangaroos, right?"
"Look, just jump into this shop here," Tre hissed, as they, literally, jumped into a music
shop.
There were posters of rock bands everywhere, the room was so covered in them there
was no visible wall. There was memorabilia everywhere and a few guitars and three
rows of CDs.
"Geez," Gasped Tre, "It's awesome in here."
"And it's air-conditioned!" Jason added.
"Uh, excuse me Skippy and Co...." Said a voice from behind them, "But...can I help
you?"
They turned around and saw a girl with black curly hair and bright green eyes, her lips
had a shine to them, as though she were wearing a glossy lipgloss (I know 'glossy lip
gloss' sounds pretty stupid but...bleh).
"We're just hiding out," Tre replied, "Cops were chasing us."
"Yeah, killjoys! We were only having fun," Jason pouted.
"Yeah, well, that's Authority for ya," She grinned, "I'm Hayley," She offered her hand.
Both Tre and Jason shook each of her hands. She laughed.
"So, what's two celebrities like yourself doing in a hole like this?"
"HAYLEY!" Screamed a voice from behind a black door, which was behind the
counter.
"JESS! GET OUT HERE!" She shouted back.
"This isn't a hole, it's kinda nice here," Jason said.
"Yeah," Mumbled Hayley, "It's nice HERE, but everywhere else in town sucks."
Jess, a beautifully tanned girl with big blue eyes, curly brown hair and a fantastic body
came out into the shop. Jess, to Tre, made the Sophie girl from the mall look like an
average nobody.
"You're kidding!" She gasped, "That isn't..."
"It is," Smiled Tre, expecting her to run into his arms.
"Is that...that kangaroo wannabe dude that harassed me at The Strand?"
"Yeah," Grinned Jason, who was still in HIS kangaroo suit, "That was him," He
pointed at Tre.
"WHAT?! NO IT WASN'T!"
Jess ran up to Tre and stomped on his foot, Tre screamed and grabbed his throbbing
foot, Jess then kicked his shins, Tre screamed and dropped to the floor, tucking his
legs up in his chest. Jess pulled his head up and slammed it back on the floor. She
ripped off the mask Tre had on. She saw who she'd just beaten up.
"Oh my fucking God!" She got down on all fours and cradled Tre's head. He moaned
hopelessly. "Tre Cool...." She gasped, "I'm SO sorry!"
"S'alright," He moaned, "I'm fine, I've lost all my dignity but I'm fine."
Jason, with Hayley, was rolling around on the floor laughing hysterically. Jess helped
Tre stand up.
"Uh... I'm Jess Greenwood, and I'm really, really, really sorry for... that."
"Like I said," Tre smiled, "I'm fine, honestly.
"You're probably badly bruised." Jason laughed.
"Oh, shut up," Tre snapped.
"That's nothing," Said Hayley, "My friend Leah and her twin sister Court-"
Jason and Tre cut her off, "YOU KNOW LEAH AND COURTNEY?!"
"Yeah," Hayley grinned in amazement, "Do you?"
"Yeah!" Said Jess, before the boys could answer, "They've been our friend for years!"
"We went to school together," Hayley added.
Tre filled them in about what had been going on with the girls, then Jason added that
Tre fucked up with her car. The conversation ended when Hayley clicked and realized
the boys were still in Kangaroo outfits.
"Well," Jess looked around, "doesn't look like where getting much...business today."
"Yeah, I'd say so too," Jason agreed.
"Let's close up," Hayley declared.
"Where are you guys staying?" Asked Jason.
"At our home, duh," Jess rolled her eyes.
"Oh, we'll we're staying at...uh... The Quest..." Tre mumbled.
"That's just over the Victoria Bridge," Smiled Hayley, "You know how to get back,
right?"
"No," Both the boys mumbled.
"All right, we'll give you a lift then," Jess opened the back seat door for them.
When they pulled up to the hotel, Tre hardly wanted to go. He found himself amazed
By Jess.
"Which room is Courtney and Leah in?" Asked Hayley.
"I think Leah's in 7A and Courtney's in 7B," Replied Jason.
"You mean, they're not together?" Gasped Jess.
"Nope," Tre shook his head, "what's wrong with that?"
"Well...they didn't normally separate," Said Hayley.
"They're still close," Jason said, getting out.
"We're coming," Declared Hayley, "We HAVE to see them!"
"I bags this elevator!" Shouted Jason, slamming his hand down on the stainless steel
door of the elevator.
"Fine," Huffed Jess, "I'll take this one."
"Fine," Jason stuck his nose in the air proudly, "Me and Hayley will race you guys to
the 7th floor, OK?"
"All right," Smiled Jess.
The doors opened, "Well...best of luck, you'll need it," Hayley said, poking her
tongue out at Jess. Tre and Jess piled into the elevator and pressed the button for the
7th floor continuously.
"Ugh!" Grunted Jess, "Slow fucker!"
The doors shut and they started going up.
"Reckon we'll win?" Grinned Jess, who was standing next to Tre.
"Probably not," Laughed Tre. He looked at her quickly and smiled.
Fuck! He thought, Jess is so fuckin' HOT!
The elevator started shaking and screeching. It was a loud, earsplitting, painful
screech.
"SHIT!" Jess screamed, she turned and pressed herself against Tre, wrapping her arms
around his waist, and hiding her face in Tre's chest. The lights flickered. Tre, who was
also scared shitless but refused to show it, put his hands down on Jess and held her
close, guarding her ears and face. Jess's hands clenched into Tre's shirt. The
screeching stopped, but the lights still flickered. After a few short seconds of
flickering, they shut off completely.
"Tre?" Whimpered Jess, "Are you all right?"
"I think so," Tre said quietly, He lifted his hands and placed one softly on each of her
cheeks, "Are you OK?"
"Yeah," She replied. Tre let her go and heard a thud, he thought Jess had passed out.
"Jess?" He asked, waving his arms around in the total darkness. A glow came from the
floor.
"Tre, get out your phone, it'll give us some light," Jess said. Tre flipped his phone
open and the glow came out. He sat down next to Jess. Even when she was scared out
of her wits, she looked gorgeous. Tre saw she had tears in her eyes.
"Jess...are you sure you're all right?"
"I'm embarrassed," She giggled in a teary voice, "I just...grabbed you...and...hugged
you and all that, I shouldn't have."
"It's not like I have a girlfriend," Tre laughed, "I'm OK with it."
Jess crawled over to him and put her head on his shoulder. "I'm fucking scared," She
Whispered.
"It's all right," He tried to calm her down, by wrapping his arm around her shoulder and
hugging her, "I'll just...call Leah or someone."
Tre got her number and called her.
"What?" Snapped a groggy-from-sleep Leah.
"Lee, it's Tre, I'm stuck in the elevator, I need your help."
Leah laughed, "You're stuck in the elevator? Oh my God! You unlucky fucking
thing!" She 'umm-ed' for a while until she said, "I'll go down to the lobby and get
them to fix it for you, who else is in there?"
"Jess," Tre replied, hugging her a little tighter, "That's it."
"Jessica Greenwood?" Asked Leah.
"The one and only," Tre grinned.
"HOLY FUCK! AWESOME!" She squealed, "That's soo cool! All right! I'll be down
there in a second!"
"Leah," He said quickly, before she hung up, "Check Jason, too, because, he caught
the other elevator, it might have broken down too."
"It didn't," Said Leah, "I heard Jason banging down the hallway shouting 'I won' with
someone."
"Yeah, we also found Hayley Wilson for you."
"You're SOO the best!" Leah laughed, "I can't believe you found my friends before I
did!"
"Just get us out," He said, "Hurry."
"Ok, ok, I'll be down in a second."
