"I've Done Twins", chapter 24
"I don't understaaaaaand!" Tre cried into his pillow. Mike pat his back.
"Shh, don't cry, Tre. Jason feels the exact same way."
"After all those late nights we spent together! All the drinking we've done! That drunken kiss I gave him..."
"What?" Asked Mike weirdly.
"You tell anyone about that and I'll kill you," Warned Tre. He started crying again.
"Oh! I want Jason baaaack!"
Mike sighed and patted Tre's back.
I cannot believe I'm doing this for him, Mike's inner voice said, This is fucking stupid.
"Lee! Why'd he do this to me!?" Cried Jason.
Leah looked over at Billie for some back up, Billie shook his head.
"On your own, Prescott."
"Some friend you are," Leah snapped.
"Tell that to your sister," Grinned Billie, leaving the room.
Leah glared at him before turning her attention to the sobbing Jason. She hugged him a little tighter.
"Don't cry, Jason. Tre feels the exact same way."
"I want him back, though. Leah, I've never been best friends with anyone like I have been with Tre!"
"Well..." She smiled weakly, "What about me? I'll be your best friend."
"No," Sobbed Jason, "Courtney's your best friend. And you're a girl..."
"So?" She snapped, "Girls are funner then boys."
"I wouldn't count on that," Billie yelled from the kitchen.
"You don't understand, Leah! You'd NEVER understand!"
Jason stood up and ran like a fairy into his room.
"Jesus Christ on a bicycle," Mumbled Leah, "Jason is so... weird."
It was only five minutes later that another fight between Jason and Tre broke out. Jess and Hayley were trying to get attention from their boys but it wasn't working.
"Bloody hell," Shouted Jess, "If I knew that he was going to spend a majority of his time fighting with Jason I would have never taken him up on this 'will you go out with me' offer!"
"Tell me about it," Hayley agreed, "He's so wrapped up in Tre it's not funny."
Billie sighed, "They'll get over it."
"GET OUT OF MY LIFE, JASON! I'M SICK OF YOU! I HATE YOU!"
"NO YOU DON'T! YOU LOVE ME! YOU ALWAYS HAVE!"
"Does this bring up any... demons from your childhood?" Joked Mike, "Because I clearly remember my mom saying that."
"Of all times to fight," Snapped Courtney, "They choose MY holiday!"
"TAKE YOUR STUPID BLANKIE AND GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Jason shouted at Tre.
"Blankie?" Mike, Billie, Hayley, Courtney and Leah asked themselves.
"DON'T YOU DARE HURT MY BLANKIE, JASON WHITE! IT'LL BE THE LAST FUCKING THING YOU DO!"
"Anyone wanna go out and grab a pizza?" Suggested Leah.
"I'm in," Courtney said quickly.
"Fuck, I'd even shout. As long as I get outta here," Mumbled Billie.
"Well in that case," Grinned Mike, "Bring some money. It's YOUR shout."
Billie was stuffing his face with a vegetarian pizza. The girls were picking at their food and Mike looked deep in thought as he sucked the straw of his coke.
"What are you thinking about?" Asked Leah. Mike didn't respond. That's how deep in thought he was.
"Mike!" Leah snapped.
"Huh? Oh, me?"
"No, the ten foot monster behind you."
Jess choked on her drink and turned around, "WHERE!?"
"I'm kidding, Jessica," Leah chuckled, she muttered, "Dumbass."
"I'm thinking about... y'know, Tre and Jason."
"Uh..." Billie started, with a disgusting mouth full of chewed up pizza. Courtney screwed her face up and dropped her pizza.
"Ew," She said.
"Sowwie," Billie tried to say, swallowing the pizza. "The whole point of us coming to this... God sent... Pizza place is to eat, drink and forget about them."
"I can't," Mike groaned, "They're probably trashing the place."
Courtney gasped, "Yes! That's true! They're probably wearing my underwear again, too!"
"Again?" Hayley asked with wide eyes.
"Hayles, you really don't wanna know what the boys get up to when no one's looking."
"They're probably making sweet love at the moment," Billie joked.
"Oop, then I better get going..." Jess said, standing up, "Don't wanna miss out on that."
"It'll be a cold day in hell before that'll ever happen," Mike protested.
"Yeah, Jason will have sex with Tre when Hell freezes over," Leah grinned at Mike.
"See the news today?" Asked Billie, "HELL FROZE OVER!" Courtney giggled.
"What?" Asked Leah.
"You guys are so stupid," Courtney giggled, "You honestly believe that Tre and Jason are in love?"
"I don't believe they're in love," Billie said seriously, "I believe they're MAKING love."
"They're just best friends," Courtney explained, "I mean, I've slept in the same bed as Jess once, I've party pashed another one of my friends..."
Hayley went dead quiet. Mike sniggered.
"That doesn't mean I'm in love with them."
"Good point, babe," Billie sighed, flicking a piece of mushroom at her.
Jess closed her eyes and opened the door to the beach hut. Expecting to see feathers and clothes and furniture to be everywhere, she opened her eyes.
"Whoa..." Gasped Billie, "It's exactly the way we left it!"
"I don't fucking believe it!" Courtney said, "It's not fucked up or anything."
"That means they're not here," Leah said. "TRE! JASE! YOU HOME?!" No reply.
"Shit," Hayley muttered. "They can't of left, they don't know where they're going. They don't know where they are!"
"Fuck!" Shouted Leah, "We're fucked! We lost them! We'll never find them in the Gold Coast!"
"Ok, calm down," Mike said, "Lee, and I will go one way. Billie and Courts can go another way and.... uh..."
"Wait a second!" Shouted Hayley, "Me and Jess will search the beaches, Billie and Courts go into the city and look, and you and Lee will stay here in case they come home."
"Yeah right," Scoffed Courtney, "They won't be waiting, they'll be f-"
"SHUT IT, COURTNEY JADE!" Shouted Leah. Courtney took Billie's hand, stuck her tongue out and left.
"See-ya 'round," Jess sighed, leaving to look.
"And how..." Started Mike with a grin, "Did Courtney know that's EXACTLY what we'd be doing while waiting for Tre and Jase?!"
Leah giggled evilly and pushed Mike onto the couch.
"Brace yourself, Mikey."
"God," Gasped Billie, "This is like trying to find a needle in a haystack."
Courtney looked around the city and realized Billie was right. There were too many people hanging around.
"TRE!" Billie shouted, "JASE!"
"Billie, I've got an idea!"
"Uh oh," He teased. Courtney slapped his arm and led him over to a bench. She stood up on it.
"Let me on your shoulders."
"Why?!" Asked Billie.
"'Cause then I can see them from high up. It'll be easier."
He sighed, "You're lucky you're light, Courtney. Because I don't wanna do this."
"I don't care," Laughed Courtney, "If I honestly cared I'd just hold your hand and walk through the mall with you."
"I wish you'd care," He chuckled.
Courtney was enjoying the ride Billie was giving her. She was taller than everyone.
"I'M TALL!" She squealed, "I LOVE IT!"
"Humph," Grunted Billie, who could hardly keep his balance. "Courts, sweetheart, I wouldn't mind giving you a piggy back but it's hard to carry you on my shoulders."
"That's ok," Courtney said, "I'm not even looking for them anyway."
"COURTNEY!"
"I'm kidding," Courtney giggled. "I'm tall, mkay?! DON'T TAKE THAT AWAY
FROM ME!"
"Can you see them?" Billie asked, ignoring the weird looks people were giving him.
"Nope," Courtney said, "What were they wearing?"
"God," Billie grunted, "I didn't check them out, Courtney. I was thinking you would have."
She kicked his chest.
"I know that Jase is wearing a red shirt and dark blue jeans... but I don't remember what Tre had on."
"Uh.... excuse me, dear friends. Looking for me?"
Billie turned around and Courtney looked down. Jason was peering up at her.
"Courts, I can see right up your skirt," Jason grinned, Courtney slammed her hands over her skirt.
"You weren't meant to tell her that, Jason," Billie grinned in the most cheeky way ever. He got another kick in the chest. "Oh! Fuck off, Prescott."
"Don't talk to me like that, Armstrong."
He helped her get off his shoulders. Courtney fixed up her skirt.
"Thank you for that, Mr White you fucking pervert," She joked.
"What's with the last names?" Asked Jase.
"Uh... what was I going to say?" Billie asked himself, "Oh yeah... WHERE THE FUCKING HELL WERE YOU?!"
"Here," Jason replied.
"WHY?! DON'T YOU EVER RUN OFF LIKE THAT AGAIN!"
Jason sighed and rolled his eyes, "Billie, I'm an adult too, y'know?
"NO YOU'RE NOT!" He shouted, everyone was staring at him. Courtney took a few steps backwards to blend into the crowd.
"I JUST WANTED TIME ALONE BILLIE! I DON'T HAVE TO SPEND EVERY WAKING MOMENT WITH SOMEONE!"
He stormed off. Courtney didn't want to embarrass herself, but she didn't want Jason to be pissed off anymore.
"JASE!" She shouted, stepping out. Everyone stared at her. She tried to stop her cheeks from going any pinker. "Can't..." Everyone kept staring and listening, no one moved, "Can't we go for a coffee together. Y'know, just to talk it all over."
It was Billie's time to sink, shifty eyed, into the crowd.
"Courts, I just wanna be alone..."
Courtney pouted. Jason sighed and ran back to hug her.
"Sure. Is there a Starbucks around here?"
"Hell yes," Laughed Courtney, "If there wasn't a Starbucks around Hayley wouldn't be alive."
Billie stared at people in the crowd.
"What are you looking at, Fuckers?" He snapped, running after Courtney.
"By the way," Grinned Jason, "Tre's wearing a blue and white checkered shirt and Golf Punk pants."
"Gee, thanks for the info," Courtney replied.
"TRE! JASE!" Hayley screamed, walking down the beach.
"Fuck it," Jess mumbled, "They're not comin' back."
"Well we aren't leaving without them!" Hayley said, "I'm not leaving this beach without Jason."
"What about ME!?" Someone shouted behind them.
They turned around. Tre was behind them glaring evilly.
"Who sent you to look for me?" He asked, "Oh no! Let me guess! Was it Jason?"
"No," Jess said, jumping into his arms, "Jason is gone too. Tre! Why'd you leave like that?! I was worried."
Tre kissed the top of her head and Hayley smiled at them sweetly.
"You shouldn't of worried," He said, "I knew what I was doing."
"You could have got lost!" Jess yelled, "Tre Cool, don't ever do that again, or else!"
"Or else what?" Tre grinned.
"Or else... uh..." She turned to Hayley. Hayley whispered something into her ear. "Or else I'll make sure you never have sex, ever again!" She finished.
"Hayley.... that's low," He glared at her.
"Shh, don't cry, Tre. Jason feels the exact same way."
"After all those late nights we spent together! All the drinking we've done! That drunken kiss I gave him..."
