When Green Day Was Young, chapter 2

Tre and Terri walked down the street.

"So..." Tre said, trying to start a conversation. "Where did you move from?"

"I moved from Tennesee." Tre nodded.

"Did you like it down there?"

"Sorta."

"Oh, okay."

Tre and Terri walked up Billie's driveway.

"This is Billie's house."

Terri followed Tre into Billie's house and into their basement.

"There you are. We've been waiting forever for you," Billie said.

"Well sor-ry. I was getting Terri, remember? We asked her to watch us practice."

Bilile rolled his eyes.

"Okay, whatever."

Tre showed Terri where she could sit and watch. Billie was setting up the amps while Tre was setting up his cymbols.

"Hey, Terri, you want something to drink? I have some Coke in the fridge," Billie offered her.

"Sure."

Billie sprinted up the steps to the fridge.

Billie returned with her can of Coke.

"Here you go." Terri took it.

"Thanks." Billie smiled.

"No problem."

Billie started off singing, while Mike and Tre were playing their instuments.

While they were performing, Terri was thinking, Wow, Billie's a really good singer, Tre can really play the drums, and Mike is awesome at the bass. Tre's really cute. I wonder if he thinks the same way about me...

She enjoyed watching Tre play the drums. After they were finished, Terri helped Tre pack his drumset.

"Hey, you wanna get some pizza?" Tre asked her.

"Sure."

Tre told Billie and Mike that they were going to get pizza.

"Do you guys wanna come?" Terri asked.

"No, that's okay. We gotta stay and finish some songs before we do anything else," Mike replied.

"Okay. See you tomorrow at school."

Tre and Terri walked down the street together to a pizzeria to eat.

"Have you been here yet?" Tre asked her.

"No." Tre smiled.

"Well this place has, like, the best frikkin pizza you have ever had."

Terri laughed. "Okay."

They both sat down and ate their pizza and talked.

"Sometimes Billie, Mike, and I come here and play."

"Really?"

"Yeah, we play anywhere we can. But usually we play 924 Gilman Street."

Terri smiled at him.

Tre thought, I like Terri. She has a smile that brightens up the whole room. I wonder if this is going anywhere if you know what I mean...

He walked Terri back to her house.

"Thanks for taking me out for pizza."

"You're welcome."

Terri looked around, she didn't know what was going to happen next...
