Homeroom, chapter 3
"1 sec," she yelled. Katherine put her journal in her night stand and went down to eat.
"So there's this great play on Saturday do you wanna come?" asked her Mom.
"I don't know," Katherine said kinda bored.
"Well, you don't have to I think I even have a date," Her Mom said in a very happy voice.
"OK then I'll just stay here," she said.
In the morning Katherine saw the clothes her Mom had picked out and she almost vomited. She didn't wanna be made fun of and she kinda wanted to look half normal when she saw Billie. So Katherine threw the clothes in the back of her closet and grabbed jeans and a shirt she had been hiding from her Mom.
Katherine ran down the stairs and just got her keys and started to close the door until she heard her Mom.
"Honey! Get your walkmen I got you the new Three Teners cd," Katherine's Mom yelled.
"OK well, just leave it on the chair outside and I'll grab it," Katherine suggested. And she jumped into the bushes. Her Mom went outside and luckily didn't try to look for Katherine. Then she jumped out of the bushes and grabbed the walkmen and locked the door.
As she walked Katherine got kinda bored so she put the walkmen on and started to listen. She hated the music but her Mom had told Katherine it was a lot better then anything else out there. So Katherine pretended to love it.
All the sudden Katherine heard a guys voice from behind her. It was Billie.
"Hey!" Billie said.
"O.. Hey," Katherine smiled and fixed her hair.
"So what are you listening to?" Billie asked as he grabbed the headphones and put them on.
"What is this I cant even hear it? Why is the volume so low?" Billie asked.
"Well, its some opera thing and its turned down so low cause if it is loud it will disturb the people around us, well at least that's what my Mom says," Katherine explained.
"I think you listen to your Mom too much! And are you for real there is no one even around here, like I could kiss you and no one would even no," Billie said. Katherine got a little worried about the whole kiss thing she had never kissed anyone except her family.
"What? I think I'm gonna walk ahead and go into the school," Katherine said as she fast walked away.
"Well, I was just using it as an example! Please don't take it the wrong way!" Billie yelled. But Katherine just said bye and walked away but when she did Katherine's song book fell out of her bag..
"Ohh! Crap she dropped her book," Billie mumbled. He picked it up and read the cover. " Song Book?" Billie questioned and opened it to read it.
