The Concert that Changed Everything..., chapter 1

I wake up to feel Billie twiddling his fingers around the end of my hair and see his soft, handsome face and beautiful, green eyes staring into mine. Yep, I had gotten drunk last night at my house with him and was now at Billie's.

"Good mornin', beautiful," he says quietly.

I start to say, "But I'm not beau—" but Billie puts his finger to my lips and says, "Shh..." as he leans his head closer and kisses me sweetly on the lips for a good morning kiss. Instead, I hold on for a longer, more wonderful two minute kiss. I put my hands on his head and run my fingers through his soft, smooth, black, non-gelled hair.

When I finally let go, I blush. Billie smiles, and after I see that sexy smile of his, I can't help but smile too.

"Wait right here, Ally," Billie says, as he gets off the bed and walks out of the room in his short grey boxers. I smile.

He returns a minute later, coming up the stairs, carrying a platter of pancakes, toast, and a glass of fresh orange juice. I laugh and say, "You really didn't have to."

"But I wanted to," he replies, as he brings over the platter and rests it on my body.

"Oh and..." Billie adds as he sits on the edge of the bed, "the pancakes aren't so great."

I take a small forkful of the fluffy pancakes and try some. I laugh and say that they are good, even though Billie thinks they're bad. I drink a few sips of the fresh-squeezed orange juice before Billie takes the platter away. He says that I can make something of my own that I'll like.

Billie, still in his boxers, walks downstairs to the kitchen to clean up. I get up and out of the bed and step on the soft, warm, navy blue carpet. I go over to the dresser and quickly put on a black tank top and some random shorts and walk down the navy blue carpeted spiral stairs. I sneak up behind Billie at the sink and hug him from behind. And he turns around and kisses me passionately. I sigh quietly as Billie, still having his hands on my head, brings my head closer for a small, short kiss.

"Wow," he said, after realizing he still had his hands around me and had been dreaming just then.

I laugh and say, "Thank you. Not too bad yourself." And hug him one more time.

Billie blushed. "Heh, thanks," he said, being sarcastic. And I just stare and him and think of how he's such a wonderful person.

I take over the dishes and Billie freezes where he is and I scoot next to him saying, "It's okay, really." As Billie sighs and walks away from the sink and to the living room right next to the kitchen.

"Hey Ally, I have to go to a concert in three hours in New York, you wanna come?" he called over his shoulder.

"Of course I want to go!" I replied happily.

I finish cleaning the dishes and go up the stairs to get ready for the concert. I walk in the room and stop in the doorway and see Billie pulling up his tight, black pants. I smirk and give him a sexy look.

He looks back at me and says, "Wow. Just, wow," as he pulls his pants up to his waist, buttons them up, and adds his black, studded belt. He puts on his shirt, gets his red skinny tie off the dresser and looks into the mirror above the dresser. He grabs his eyeliner and puts it on quickly. He walks into the bathroom and gets the hair gel and spray. He puts a glop of the hair gel in the palm of his hand and rubs his hands together. He swishes his hair back and puts the gel in his hair and makes it spiky and crazy. I take the spray can off the sink counter and spray it into his hair for extra hold. I put the can back on the counter and he adds his cologne. I sigh. He looks at me. We stare at each other for a time that seems like forever. I finally speak, getting out of the daydream, and say that he looks sexy and handsome.

"Thanks, sweetie. But not as sexy as you look right now," and he kisses me, as I blush. I pull away, realizing I'm still not dressed. I put on my bra, my black 'Kiss Me, I'm Punk' shirt, and some jeans with ripped knees and writing of Green Day all over them. I go into the bathroom and get out my black eyeliner and black eye shadow.

As I'm putting on my eyeliner, Billie walks in saying, "You looked sexy the way you were before you started putting on make up."

I reply with, "But I want to look better than that," and continue to put on the rest of my make up and heat up my straightener to start to straighten my hair.

Billie grabs my hair gently and whispers in my ear, "You don't need to fix your hair, it looked sexy all messy." I roll my eyes and think about how he had just said the word sexy.

"Say 'sexy' again." I told him.

"Wha—?"

"Say 'sexy' again."

"Wh--?"

"Just do it."

"Sexy...?" said Billie, with a confused look on his face. I turn around and kiss him.

I walk out the bathroom; all done with my hair, saying, "Thank you," while Billie is still standing there, puzzled.

I laugh and tell him to come on, so we're not late for the concert. Billie, totally forgetting about the concert, perks up and moves out of the bathroom. We go downstairs and Billie grabs his guitar resting near the couch and walks out the door, arm in arm with me.

****

Billie and I get to New York with one hour to spare. Mike, Tré, and Jason come over and say 'Hi' to me and Billie. Mike comes over and hugs me.

"Hey, Mike. What's up?"

"Nothing really. You?"

"Nothin'."

He goes over to Billie and pats him on the back. "Hey, you're late again. What happened?"

"I made Ally breakfast and we got off with a late start. Then we were in the bathroom and that took most of the time."

"Hey! Who's that sexy bitch!?" Tré calls out from behind the drums.

"Hey, Tré," I replied.

He comes out from behind his drums and hugs me tightly. Billie looks at me and rolls his eyes. I roll my eyes and smile.

Billie plugs in his guitar and tunes it up. Mike and Jason do the same. Tré crazily warms up on the drums. Billie starts to play the beginning of "American Idiot" for a warm up. Mike, Tré, and Jason join in. I smile and my heart speeds up when I hear Billie's sexy voice. I get in the crowd, near the mosh pit, but almost touching the stage, and in what seemed like twenty minutes, the full one hour went by and the concert began.

I see Billie walk on the stage first, followed by Mike, Tré, and Jason. They don't go to their spots yet, but they just stand at the front of the stage in front of the cheering crowd. Billie looks for me and sees me standing closer than what I had told him where I would be. He smiled and winked at me. These three girls looked at me and when I looked back at them, I blushed. Billie, Mike, Tré, and Jason get to their spots on the stage, and the crowd gets louder and louder.

"ALRIGHT BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK!" Billie screamed at the crazy screaming crowd. And the crowd got even louder. I screamed and Billie looked at me and smiled. I blushed again, because the three girls were looking at me again.

Billie started playing. Just Billie was playing, and I could tell what song it was. He started singing. Yep. "Basket Case."

The crowd was just moving back and forth - not so crazy.

Do you have the time to listen to me whine? About nothing and everything all at once?

But once Tré, Mike, and Jason came in with the guitar, bass, and drums, they started moshing.

Once the song ended, I started jumping like crazy. Billie smiled at me and winked again. I had an idea of what song was next.

Billie, Mike, and Jason started playing and I was right. I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known. Don't know where it goes, but it's home to me and I walk alone.

Billie finished the chorus and was on to the 'Uh' part. Before he sung it, he looked and smiled at me. He knew. I knew. I smiled. The three girls next to me also knew. They smiled and looked at me. We all closed our eyes. When Billie finished that part, me and the three girls opened our eyes and they said, "Holy fucking shit," and they stared at me, thinking of how lucky I am to have Billie.

Billie paused and reached his hand into his pocket. He pulled out a mask that looked like Bush. It said 'IDIOT' on the forehead. He put it on and started singing in a high voice, "Nobody likes you. Everyone left you. They're all out without you. Having fun." He took off the mask and they played "American Idiot.

They rocked out loud. After "American Idiot," Billie sang solo for "Homecoming." The song went by really fast until 'We're coming home again' came. It seemed like it went by really slow. Tré came in with the drums and Billie's special 'Home' part was coming up. Right before he sung it, he looked at me and I looked at the girls next to me. My heart sped up when he sung his special 'home' part.

Once the song was over, I saw that the girls looked nice, so I introduced myself.

"Hey, I'm Ally. What's up?" I screamed over the cheering.

"Hey, Ally. I'm Steph," screamed one of the girls who was wearing a green shirt and jeans written all over just like mine.

"Hey, I'm Liss," screamed the other girl who was wearing a 'Kerplunk!' shirt, a GD beanie, and jeans.

"And I'm Sabrina," screamed the last girl, who was wearing a black shirt, a GD hat, and capris.

"Sweet. Nice to meet ya," I screamed back, with "Longview" starting in the background.

We turn to face Green Day as they get to the second chorus. We screamed with them at the top of our lungs.

Bite my lip and close my eyes. Take me away to paradise. So damn bored I'm going blind and I smell like shiiiiiiiiiiiiit! I got no motivation. Where is my motivation? No time for the motivation. Smoking my inspirationnnnnnnn! HUH! Sit around and watch the phone, but no one's calling. Call me pathetic call me what you will. My mother says to get a job, but she don't like the one she's got. When masturbation's lost its fun, you're fucking lonely.

"Longview" ended and everyone was so loud. You could hardly hear Billie scream into the microphone, "HOLIDAAAYYY!!!! This song isn't anti-American, it's anti-warrrr!"

The song starts and me, Steph, Liss, and Sabrina start jumping up and down, screaming so loud. This was so great. Sabrina was laughing at how funny it would be if Tré came out in a dress and started dancing on stage. We all laughed. And then Steph said how it would be even better if Billie came over and kissed Tré. Then Liss added if Mike came in and joined them. We all screamed and laughed.

"The representative of New York now has the floor," Billie said with his voice all raspy. I sighed.

Holiday ended much quicker than I thought it would. Billie screamed, "Woohoo!" into the microphone before they started their next song.

St. Jimmy's comin' down across the alleyway, up on the boulevard like a zip gun on parade. Lights of a silhouette, he's insubordinate, comin' at you on the count of 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4!

Everyone moshed and moshed and we waited for the end to come.

"AND DON'T YOU FUCKING WEAR IT OUT!"

He did his signature sign.

****

Sweat comes off Billie's face at the end and he goes back to the microphone for the next song. He stands there and looks at me. His smile fades. He frowns slightly. He looks down at the stage, all sad. I know what he's about to do. He starts playing, of course, not wanting to. I start crying. So does Billie. I saw the tears in his eyes and the change in his voice. He was trying to hard to hold back the tears. I couldn't even stand to see him like this.

"Summer has come and passed. The innocent can never last. Wake me up when September ends. Like my father's come to pass, seven years has gone so fast. Wake me up when September ends. Here comes the rain again, falling from the stars. Drenched in my pain again, becoming who we are. As my memory rests, but never forgets what I lost. Wake me up when September ends." He cries out.

The tears fell down my cheeks. I looked over at Steph, Sabrina, and Liss, and they were also crying. Everyone had their cell phones out, waving them around. I got mine out and waved it around too. Billie could hardly sing and you could hear the shaking and trembling in his voice as he tried to sing the best he could. I kept wiping the tears off my face. Sabrina came over to me, followed by Liss and Steph, and we all hugged. We didn't stop hugging until the song was over, which seemed like forever. Billie kept looking at me like I could help him get through this song. I wish there was something I could do, have the song end, right then and there, somehow make it not sad, have him not have to sing the song. I just wish there was something I could do so Billie wouldn't cry. The song finally ended and Billie looked over to me and sighed of relief. I smiled from ear to ear and clapped and cheered for how well he had just done. Everyone cheered so loud and shook their cell phones in the air.

The next thing we barely hear is Billie start singing the next song.

She's a rebel. She's a saint. She's the salt of the earth and she's dangerous. She's a rebel. Vigilante. Missing link on the brink of destruction. From Chicago to Toronto. She's the one that they call old Whatsername. She's the symbol of resistance and she's holding on my heart like a hand grenade.

The moshing went crazy. One kid was crowd surfing and he was dropped on his head near us.

"Oh my god! Are you okay?!" I screamed at him over the loud music.

"That was fucking wicked awesome!" He screamed back and jumped up for more surfing.

The song ended and Billie paused and looked at Mike. Mike smiled. Billie turned around and looked back at Tré. He smiled a big ear-to-ear smile. Something was definitely up. Billie turned back to the crowd and found me with a confused look on my face. He smiled and winked at me. What is he doing? I kept thinking to myself.

"This next song is dedicated to my lovely girlfriend, Ally. I love you." The crowd 'aww'ed and Billie started the song.

I sit alone in my bedroom
Staring at the walls
I've been up all damn night long
My pulse is speeding
My love is yearning

I hold my breath and close my eyes and...
Dream about her
'Cause she's 2000 light years away
She holds my malachite so tight so...
Never let go
'Cause she's 2000 light years away
Years Away!

I sit outside and watch the sunrise
Lookout as far as I can
I can't see her, but in the distance
I hear some laughter,
We laugh together

I hold my breath and close my eyes and...
Dream about her
'Cause she's 2000 light years away
She holds my malachite so tight so...
Never let go
'Cause she's 2000 light years away
Years Away!

I sit alone in my bedroom
Staring at the walls
I've been up all damn night long
My pulse is speeding
My love is yearning

I hold my breath and close my eyes and...
Dream about her
'Cause she's 2000 light years away
She holds my malachite so tight so...
Never let go
'Cause she's 2000 light years away

They ended the song and then Billie said, "That's for you, honey. Come on up here, Ally," into the microphone and out to the crowd.

I blushed and exchanged glances between me, Steph, Liss, and Sabrina. A bright blue light found me and shone down on me. I walked through the crowd with thoughts racing through my head. What is going on? Why is he doing this?

I reached the stage stairs and go through the security. I climbed the stairs, nervous and shaking. Oh my God. Stop shaking. It's okay, Billie wouldn't do anything to embarrass you.

I reached Billie and he gently grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him.

"Isn't she fucking sexy?!" He screamed.

I blushed and laughed a little at the roaring crow. I couldn't see anything and I only heard the screaming and cheering crowd.

"Yeah! You're fucking sexy, alright!" one guy said in the distance.

Billie pulled me close to him and kissed me passionately and I didn't give a damn that it was in front of thousands of people. He was just too damn sexy for words. I put my arms around him and ran my hands through his soaking wet and messy hair. I could see some flashes in the crowd. I didn't care. I was so happy that I was kissing him right then and there. We continued kissing.

"Get a room!" I heard one guy say.

"Squeeze her ass!" another guy said.

You could see Billie smile a little and Billie squeezed my ass and the crowd roared. Billie pulled away and laughed. My face went red. He took his hands off my waist and reached into his pocket. Something was bulging in his right pocket. He paused right before taking whatever was in there out. I looked at his sweaty face as he grinned. He took it out and carefully covered it with his hand so I couldn't see what it is.

"I love you so much, Ally, and want to be with you now and forever," Billie said as he put his hands on top and bottom on the object and raised his hands up to my waist and as he slowly tucked his right leg back and kneeled on it, "Will you marry me?"

He opened the case and the ring inside was just too amazing. It was a hand-crafted diamond ring with a gold ring and there were five diamonds. The ones one the outside were the smallest. The next ones in were a little bigger, but the center one was really big. It had a blue rim on the outside of it. It was the prettiest, most expensive thing I have ever seen.

I couldn't breathe.

I kept staring at the ring, totally forgetting about the crowd, and the stage, and the concert, and where I was. Then, for some reason, I remembered where I was and what I was doing. Billie had just proposed. He had given me this beautiful ring that must have cost about three million dollars.

"Yes. Yes. Of course I will marry you. I love you so much Billie."

Tears kept falling down my face and leaving black lines on my cheeks. I hugged Billie so hard and I didn't want to let go. I just wanted to stay like this forever. I kissed him and kissed him over and over. He picked me up and twirled me around. I was in heaven. The crowd roared on. I totally forgot about all the people looking at us and watching us. I laughed. Billie smiled.

Billie put me down gently and hugged me and whispered in my ear, "I love you so much. You have no idea how happy I am right now."

"Oh my god. I can't stop crying, I'm so happy. I love you, Billie Joe. I love you. I love you," I whispered back and hugged him tighter. Before I let go, I kissed him lightly on the nose and then kissed him on the lips. "Thank you so much."

Before I had to go back into the audience, Billie yelled into the microphone, "My future wife right there, everybody." And I went back into the crowd and met with Liss, Sabrina, and Steph again.

"Oh my god. You are so lucky!" Steph said, a little disappointed.

"Steph, don't be sad! I'll invite you over some time and you can meet Billie better."

Steph smiled and thanked me very happily.

"Hey, wait... if Steph can go over, why can't we?" Sabrina asked.

"I was about to ask you guys if you want to come over for our wedding. How about it?"

"YES! Thank you, Ally! You are so cool!" Liss and Sabrina said in unison.

"Oh, and Sabrina, I hear Tré's single! You can meet him too. And same with Mike, Liss!"

"Ahh! Yes! Thank you, Ally!" Liss said, extremely happy.

"Yesss! Tré! Here I come!" Sabrina screamed.

"Alright. This is just one last song. One last little sentiment," Billie said, as the music started.

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through

We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end
We are the champions -
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls -
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
- and some fucking great cheers
I thank you all -

But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose

We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world

The concert ended and Billie brought me onto the stage again. They took a bow and Billie extended his hand towards me. I didn't bow. Why should I? I just laughed as the crowd cheered.

Before everyone left, I told Billie I'd be right back. I went backstage and grabbed some pens and paper. I went back to where I was in the crowd and Steph, Liss, and Sabrina were still there. I had then write down their phone numbers and addresses so I could mail the wedding invitation and so that we could talk and see each other every so often. Before I had to go, I hugged them all and I was so glad that I met them. So were they. They would be mailed the invitations first thing.

"Talk to you guys later! You are all so cool!"

"Hah, thanks, Ally. So are you!" They said.

I went backstage and found Billie, Mike, and Tré packing up. Mike came over to me and hugged me. "Congrats, Ally. Good luck."

"Thanks, Mike," I said and hugged him back.

Tré came over to me and hugged me too. "I'm sorry, Ally. It would have just never worked out between us," Tré joked.

"Aww, that's okay. But I think I found someone for you."

"Ooh... thanks. Is she pretty and sexy?"

"Yes. Yes, she is."

"Big boobs?"

"Yes, Tré. She has big boobs," I said laughing a little at the way he asked the question.

"Sweet. Thanks, Ally," he said and then kissed me on the cheek. I blushed a little. I hugged him again before we had to leave.

"Alright, Ally. We gotta go," Billie said.

"Alright. Thank you so much, guys. I love you all."

We got into the limo and talked the whole way about what we were going to do for the wedding. The decorations we were going to have. What colors? Who is coming? Where are we going to have everything? The house? A church? Nope. Our house.

It took about half an hour to get home at 10:30 PM. Once we got home, Billie tipped the driver and he picked me up and carried me in the house. I unlocked the door and turned the knob. He kicked it open and brought me into the living room. We were both laughing. He gently settled me down on the couch and went to the fridge and got a Corona for me and a Bacardi for himself. I knocked off my shoes. He jumped over the back of the couch and sat next to me. He kicked off his shoes. I scooted close to him and curled up onto him. I laid my head on his lap. He ran his fingers through my hair.

"No, no. Don't fall asleep yet."

"If you keep running your fingers through my hair I won't. Deal?"

"Yes."

A few minutes went by and I started to close my eyes. Billie stopped running his fingers through my hair.

"Why'd you stop?"

"You almost fell asleep. What happened to the deal?"

I smiled. "But it felt so good. Please keep doing it."

The next thing I know, I'm on the couch facing out to the living room at two in the morning. Around my waist were Billie's arms. I turned around, being careful not to wake him. He was soundly sleeping. Naked. Billie must have changed because he was all sweaty from the concert. I was still fully clothed. We didn't do anything last night. He smiled. I wonder what he was dreaming about. I carefully moved my arms to his head and ran my fingers through his hair. It was soft and smooth again. Just the way I like it. He must have taken a shower too and didn't want to get in any boxers.

"You're right. That does feel good," he said, feeling my fingers run through his hair. He fell back asleep almost immediately. I went back to sleep with a smile on my face.

****

We both woke up at noon, exhausted from the concert. Billie took his hand off my waist and ran it through my hair. He kissed me lightly on the cheek. I opened my eyes slowly and turned over to face Billie. "Wow," I said, looking up and down his muscular body happily.

"Yeah, wow," Billie said in return, "I can't believe I'm going to marry you."

"What? Is that a bad thing?"

"Don't worry. It's not a bad thing. It's a very good thing."

I smiled. "So what do you want to do today? You don't have a concert to go to."

"Actually, I was thinking of brining you down to Gilman and meeting up with Tré and Mike."

"Ooh. Perfect. I'll call Steph, Liss, and Sabrina and see if they want to come."

"Alright, cool. Now I can meet them."

We got up and made lunch. I made a veggie sub for Billie and a BLT for me. Billie got us some fresh iced tea. We ate while talking more about our wedding. When are we going to have it? What kind of food are we going to have? We brainstormed this down and we'd go through it later.

We finished our lunch, cleaned up, and went up the soft stairs to get ready for Gilman. I stared at Billie. "What?" Billie asked, puzzled.

"N-nothing," I stuttered, while blushing.

Billie got some boxers, some random jeans, a black t-shirt, his red and black socks, and his shoes. He got out his eyeliner and hair gel. He didn't put the gel into his hair concert style, but partially up, partially down and over his piercing green eyes. He put on his eyeliner quickly and messy.

I went into the bathroom to put on my eyeliner and eye shadow. Billie walked into the bathroom saying, "You're putting it on again?"

"Yes."

I walk out of the bathroom, leaving Billie, and over to the dresser, with Billie staring at me in the bathroom doorway. I see his reflection in the mirror above the dresser and say, "What?"

"Nothing."

I gave him a 'Come on, tell me' look.

"It's nothing, Ally," he lied. There was something on his mind. He doesn't think he's ready to get married. He doesn't think he can handle it. He looked over to Ally and remembered. She is the one he's marrying. He grinned.

I see Billie grin through the mirror. I don't say anything; just roll my eyes instead, knowing I won't get anything out of him right now.

I get on my bra and some jeans, a black Hot Topic shirt, some random socks, and my black and pink Converses. Before we left for Gilman, I called Sabrina, Liss, and Steph. Of course they all wanted to come and would meet us there.

We got in the car and drove off to Gilman. We got there in fifteen minutes. By 2:46 PM, we walked in and found Mike near the entry at the bar. We sat next to him and asked if anyone else was there.

"Nope." Mike replied. He was early, as always.

I saw Sabrina walk in and called her over here.

"Billie, this is Sabrina. She'll be with Tré."

"Hey," Billie said, hugging her. "Yeah, Tré will definitely like you."

Sabrina blushed, "Yeah, thanks. I hope he likes me."

"Don't worry, he will," Billie reassured.

Sabrina hung out with us while we waited for the other three, and not long after, Sabrina got there, so did Steph. "Hey, Steph. Billie, this is Steph," I introduced.

Steph stared at Billie. We don't hear anything. She just stared. I see her eyes close and fall backwards. I rush to catch her. "Can someone get me a cup of water?" I ask the group.

Billie asked the bartender for a cup of water while I fanned Steph with my hand. Billie got the water and splashed it on Steph's face as Tré walked in.

"Hey. Tré's here," Mike said.

Sabrina turned around and once she saw Tré, she gasped and couldn't breathe. "Oh my god," She choked out. "It's Tré."

"Geez. What happened here?" Tré said, once he saw Steph on the floor.

"Steph fainted when she saw Billie and she's just waking up," I explained.

"Geez," Tré said again.

"Tré, this is Sabrina," I said.

"So you're the one Ally told me about. Damn. You are sexy."

Sabrina blushed. "Thanks," she said as she laughed.

I helped Steph to her feet. She took another look at Billie. "No more fainting," I joked.

"C-can I have a hug?" Steph stuttered, holding out her arms and totally ignoring me.

"Sure. No problem." Billie said as he got up off the chair. Steph walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. Billie put his arms around over her shoulders and down to her back. Steph sighed.

"I'm guessing she's for me?" Mike said as Liss walked in and over to us.

"Yep. Mike, this is Liss," I told him.

"Oh my god. I can't believe that I'm finally meeting you," Liss almost screamed.

"Ha ha, thanks. And you're really pretty," Mike replied back, as Liss' face reddened.

We went over to the crowd, listening and moshing to some kids singing. I put my hands out to Steph as the 'crowd-surfing sign.' She just looked at me confused. "Put your foot in my hands," I screamed at her over the loud music.

She put her hands on my shoulders and raised her foot and put it securely in my hands. I pushed her up. Steph started screaming once she was pushed around. It took her a few minutes for Steph to find us, and once she came back, she screamed, "Oh my god! That was fucking wicked awesome!"

"Me next!" Tré yelled like he was a little kid.

Billie and Mike exchanged glances before putting out their hands. Tré stepped into their hands and was pushed up onto the sea of hands. "Wee!" Tré screamed.

"Wow. He is such an idiot," Mike said.

"Yeah, but he's my idiot," Sabrina said. We all laughed.

Tré came back and started jumping up and down. "That was so cool! I love doing that!"

"Calm down," Sabrina said, laughing.

"Fine. C'mon, Sabrina. Let's go get some drinks," Tré said, grabbing Sabrina's hand and leading her to the bar.

"Alright. See you guys later," Sabrina called back to us.

"Wanna go?" I asked Liss, giving her the 'crowd-surf' sign.

"Umm...sure," she said hesitantly.

I pushed her up and off she went. We could see her feet flying everywhere. She came back after what seemed like five minutes.

"That was fucking awesome! Woah! I'm really dizzy right now," Liss screamed over the cheering crowd. She went over to Mike and sat on his lap and gave him a huge hug. He hugged her back. I was so happy they were all getting along.

Billie stood up and came over to me. He kissed me and said, "This is for you."

"Huh?" I said, puzzled as I looked at the small man walking towards the stage.

Billie walked over to the stage. Mike and Tré followed, obviously knowing what was going on. The other kids got off the stage and the singer handed Billie the microphone. The crowd roared. Billie's guitar, Mike's bass, and Tré's drums were already there. That's why Mike was early. Billie went up to the microphone stand and put the mic in. "I'm not here to do a concert," Billie said, "But these next songs are for my future wife. You all know her, right?" The crowed cheered.

Billie put his head down, about to play, but he moved his eyes up and looked at me really quickly. He strummed the first note of the song.

"Dry Ice."

Late last night I had a dream
And she was in it again
She and I were in the sky
Flying hand in hand
I woke up in a cold sweat
Wishing she was by my side
Praying that she'll dry tears
Left on my face I've cried

Oh I love her
Keep dreaming of her
Will I understand
If she wants to be my friend

I'll send a letter to that girl
Asking her to be my own
But my pen is writing wrong
So I'll say it in a song
Oh I love you more right now
More than I've ever loved before
Hear those words straight from these lips
I'll need you forever more

The song ended and he immediately started playing the next song.

"The One That I Want"

Sitting in my room last night
Staring at the mirror
I couldn't find a reason why
I couldn't be near her

'Cause you are the one that started
To make me feel this way
And every night I'm thinking
About those words you'd say

Pictures going through my mind
When we're together
All these long and sleepless nights
Will I ever get better

'Cause you are the one that started
To make me feel this way
And every night I'm thinking
About the words you'd say
'Cause you are the one that I want

Now you know how I feel
This love is forever
You make my life seem so unreal
Will I ever get better?

'Cause you are the one that started
To make me feel this way
And every night I'm thinking
About the words you'd say
'Cause you are the one that I want

When the song ended, he didn't go onto the next song like he did last time. Instead he paused for a few seconds and looked at his feet. His cheeks rose as he smiled. He started the song. My heart skipped a beat. It was one of my favorite songs.

"Only of You."

I wish I could tell you
But the words would come out wrong
Oh if you only knew
The way I felt for so long
I know that we're worlds apart
But I just don't seem to care
These feelings in my heart
Only with you I want to share

The first time I caught a glimpse of you
Then all my thoughts were only of you

I hope that when time goes by
You will think the same about me
Many nights awake I lie
I only wish that you could see
I know that we're only friends
I hope this feeling never ends
If I could only hold you
It's the only thing I want to do

The song ended and before Billie walked off the stage, he said, "I love you." And he walked off and came towards me.

"Wow, Billie. You really didn't have to. That was so... so... romantic," I said, searching for the right words. "I loved it. Thank you." I wrapped my arms around him tightly and kissed him 'til we couldn't breathe.

I hugged him, and over his shoulder, I saw Sabrina and Tré talking and drinking, Liss and Mike were also talking and drinking. Steph was sitting at the bar drinking alone.

"Go talk to her. I feel so bad. Make her happy. Cheer her up," I told Billie.

"Alright," Billie said, as he made his way over to Steph.

"Two Coronas over here," he said to the bartender as he sat down.
