Billie And His Ghosts, chapter 4
When Andy and I returned to Billie's room, he was still at school. Andy looked around the room and we decided to go down stairs to see his family's new home. While we were in the kitchen Ollie, Billie's mom, walked in. I thought that Andy was going to cry. When Ollie walked over to the stove and got a pot of water boiling, Andy walked up behind her and put his hands on her shoulders.
It took me a while to realize that they were both crying and I walked out of the kitchen. After about 10 minutes, Billie Joe walked through the door, shouting "MA! I'm home!" as he walked up the stairs. Andy walked out of the kitchen and we made our way up to Billie's room. When we walked through the door, Andy saw that Billie had his back to us, so he made himself solid and visible.
"Billie Joe." said Andy softly. I saw Billie stiffen and turn slowly, tears filling his eyes when he finally saw his father. "Dad...this isn't real. This can't be real..." said Billie, beginning to cry. Andy walked over to Billie and reached his hand out. Billie hugged his father, crying.
About 15 minutes later, Andy told Billie everything about me. "Payton, come on...I think he believes now." Andy said, looking around at me. When I solidified myself, Billie gasped. "You're her! You're the one that was here the night we moved in!" He said, looking at me as if I was Elvis. "Yup, that's me." I said, shaking his hand.
"Well, I had better get going." said Andy, standing up. "No! You can't go!" said Billie, his voice cracking. "Billie. I'm not really gone, you know. I'm always here. You just won't always be able to see me." said Andy, touching Billie's cheek. "But dad, I want you to be there for everything. I need you. Mom needs you. Please stay." begged Billie, starting to cry again.
"I can't, Bill. I'm so sorry, but it's impossible. But I promise you this. I will be there for you whenever you need me. I love you,son. Don't you ever forget that."said Andy, hugging Billie tightly. "I love you, too Dad. I love you too."
"Bye, Bill." said Andy, as he faded away.
*One Week Later*
Billie finally found it time for me to meet his friends, so one day he brought Mike, Mia, Tre, and Tre's new girlfriend Sydney over for me to meet. "Now, guys. I know that you didn't believe me when I told you that there's a ghost on here, especially you Mia. But here she is. You guys, I'd like you to meet Payton." said Billie Joe.
I appeared, scaring everyone. Mia immediatly began crying, shaking her head from side to side, not believing that I was there. "Hi Mia." I said quietly.
