Forever Running, chapter 5

It was starting to get dark. It was about 9:00 PM. It was getting cold, I just wanted to keep warm.
Billie pulled up in a quiet area underneath a bridge. I had no idea where we were. I didn't care as long as I was with Billie Joe, I was fine. He saw me shivering, he wrapped a blanket around me and held me in his warm grip.
I must've fallen asleep for a few hours because when I woke up it was still dark and the clock in the car dashboard read; 11:30 PM. Billie was asleep so I just put my head back onto his shoulder and thought about everything that had happened today. I now felt so close to Billie Joe. He was awoken by a train passing by above us. I looked at him and he stared back at me. Suddenly it seemed so clear. He moved his head forward and we locked lips. It was like magic. It felt like it lasted forever. We pulled away and both fell asleep again. This time when I woke up it was morning.
"Hey, Billie, good morning" I said as I saw him wake up. I didn't know if he remembered what happened last night but I sure did, It was so amazing. It was like all this was meant to happen.
"Hey sweetie" Oh yes, he rememered! His voice was so soft. We just kept quiet for around an hour, just listening to the sound of the morning; trains flying past, cars in the distance and the sound of songbirds were the first i'd heard in a long time.
"How are we gonna go to cafes and shops if people know who we are?" I didn't think he could answer it.
"How much make-up did you bring?" Oh my god, like that was gonna make a difference. He saw the reaction on my face.
"Okay, maybe not" He said almost instantly. Billie started the car and we drove off down some quiet roads. There was hardly anyone around in this area, it was for the best. I wondered where we were going. We stopped by a car shop and Billie Joe came out with a bag of spray cans. We took the car back to the bridge and I helped him spray the car. We done a great job. He came over to me and checked out my side of the car.
"Looks great" And with that he kissed my forehead. We wrapped our arms around each other and laughed. We had some food that Billie had packed in the back of the car. We skipped breakfast but had crisps for lunch.
"Hey Sarah?" He whispered. We were sitting in the front of the car.
"Yeah" I whispered back.
"This is what it's like to be free" I smiled. I felt teary but held it back. He was sort of wrong, we were still running weren't we? But Billie really made me feel special.
