The Words That I Can't Say, chapter 1

Leigh was sitting on her bed. She looked up at her posters. Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco... They were all there starring at her. She looked back down at her blank piece of paper. She had to write something. She couldn't think of what to say. What was she feeling? Bored, sad, and scared for some odd reason.

What was so wrong with her why was she like this... She had a good life. She went to a good school, had good friends, loved her music. She was just a simple girl living in the suburbs of Chicago.

She popped in Silence in Black and White but before Life on Standby could even begin to come through the speakers, a van crashed right threw her bedroom wall. She was sent flying towards the opposite wall. By the time she woke up she the cops and ambulance had just come.

Her head was bleeding and hurt but other than that she felt OK. She tried to stand up. The cops just starred at her like it was a big surprise she was alive. "Just stay there the ambulance is here," before she knew it she was on a stretcher heading for the ambulance.

The man in the car was being taken into another ambulance. He screamed about how much his leg hurt. The medical assistants tried to comfort him but it wasn't working. The police flipped threw the phonebook in his cell phone. It seemed to be the only thing not destroyed by the crash.

They found the first number and called it. "hello your friend Chris has just gotten into a major crash and we were wondering if you could come down here to answer some questions about him." After giving the address the cop hung up.

""He'll be here in an hour he has to finish something for his job""

Leigh and her father waited in the room. The sewed her head together and age her a scan. The doctor finally came out.

"I'm happy to say that she's going to be all right" Leigh and father gave a sigh of relief. "But she still has some brain damage and won't remember some things."

"How bad?" Leigh's father asked.

"Well, she shouldn't remember a couple things that might have happened in the past couple months nothing major though she might have a little trouble at school. You should probably take her out of school for about 2 weeks so she can heal her head."

Leigh thought... What had she forgotten... She couldn't remember... Well, that's sort of the point.

Leigh and her father got home an hour and a half later. A cop car was still there along with a foreign car.

"What's the problem officer"" her father asked when approaching the cop.

"This man is friends with Chris, the man that crashed threw your house. Apparently Chris wasn't always the best driver. But he wasn't drunk of anything. So that's a better sign... He'll still probably go to jail for a while for this and have to pay you back for half of the damage."

"Yeah I'm really sorry he rea..." Chris's friend stopped when he met Leigh's eyes. Leigh gave him a strange look.

"I got to go, is that OK officer?" The boy said. He was still starring at Leigh.

"Yea Mr. Wentz your dismissed."

He quickly walked to his car and drove off... But not before writing something on a scrap piece of paper.

Leigh and her dad walked into the house and the cops drove away.

"Honey you can stay in the guest bedroom until we get your room fixed."

"OK thanks dad."

"Honey?"

"Yeah?"

"Did Chris's friend seem a little familiar to you?" Leigh's father remembered his face on the wall of Leigh's room.

"Not at all"" Leigh said before heading off to bed.

That's when Leigh father realized what Leigh forgot... She forgot who Fall Out Boy was.

He wasn't going to tell her now... When time came he'd explain it.

Losing memory of Fall Out Boy couldn't be that bad right?
