The Words That I Can't Say, chapter 17
A week later and Casey was gushing over Michael even more, because he had recently asked her out. Casey talked about their interesting conversations and how someday there going to live in California together. So the couple being out and about gave Leigh some time alone.
It was a late Tuesday evening, and Leigh had nothing to do. Patrick was probably doing a concert or a party and that meant no texting. So she sat and listened to music while hanging out on myspace, her usual evening activity these days
She had new picture comments from some of her friends. There was a comment from Casey about Michael of course.
"Person what should I wear? I'm freaking out over here!"
Leigh didn't bother to call, she knew Casey was already at the mall or movies or wherever they were going.
Suddenly something bad happened
Casey sat in the food court, but this time not alone. She sat with Michael, eating tacos. He had the same love for Taco Bell as she did. They were talking about Michael's moving here. He's from POLAND! (Not that that is anything different then if he moved from Alabama) His English was too good that Casey didn't believe him. She laughed at the way he said aunt in Polish.
But when they had both finished eating and threw their trash away. Michael grabbed Casey's hand. Casey felt a jolt of electricity run up her arm and her heart do a ROUNDOFF in its place.
"Hey you wanna spilt something from Dairy Queen? My treat."
Casey gave a nervous smile and nodded. She was unable to speak. Taken over by such a feeling of love for him.
I know it hurts to feel so all alone. Leigh read over the text with a foreign number attached. She texted it back.
