The Words That I Can't Say, chapter 19
"All the school kids so sick of books

When the buzzer rings they're walking like an Egyptian"
Patrick seemed almost more adorable (if possible) when he was singing Walk Like an Egyptian. Which is what Leigh and Patrick found themselves doing after the casual talk. They were 2/3 of the way to there destination. "Walk Like an Egyptian... Walk Like an Egyptian" and just like the fun was over.
"Hey have you talked to Pete lately?" Patrick had suddenly melted away any fun that was left from the song. Patrick saw Leigh pause, "Be honest."
"No I haven't" Leigh wasn't really lying. She had only texted him. In fact, she had texted him this morning about coming to Minnesota. But she never talked to him. "Why would you think that?"
"Oh he's happier than normal these days. Especially this morning, he was playing with his phone and all of a sudden he was like freaking out and trying to tell me jokes. Even when I told him you were coming before I left he seemed happy. It couldn't have been because of you cause he's been happy since before I told him." Patrick explained sounding more like Sherlock Holmes than Patrick Stump.
Leigh couldn't help but blush at the sound of this. Pete was actually happy to see her. Leigh hated to say it even to herself, (not that she's ever told anyone other than Casey), but she was kind of more excited to see Pete than she was to spend the day with Patrick. Patrick was the type of guy you could have has your best friend. The kind you didn't judge you by your actions or appearances, but by the fact that if he could have a good time with you he'd be your friend. And if he had a even better time with you (like Leigh supposedly have given him) then you were his... girlfriend.
But Pete? Come on it's Pete Wentz! Was hot (not just adorable like Patrick), Nice (sometimes) and genius in his own way (I'll get back to you when I find out what I mean).
Leigh really wasn't shallow enough to use him to get closer to Pete. She really wasn't, but come on it was Pete. And Patrick was so easy to fool....... gosh this was getting out of hand.
Patrick and Leigh pondered what they would be doing for the next two days. Eating out, playing around and going to there concert were some of the plans on there agenda.
Suddenly Patrick by June went off. "It started off like this, Will you go when it's time?, I know you can light the match."
"Who is it?" Patrick asked looking over at the phone. But Leigh was to busy to figure it out for herself.
"Hello?" She said into the phone giving Patrick a look.
"Hey" said a hot (not adorable) voice over the phone. Uh oh... Pete.
"Oh Hey" Leigh mouthed 'Casey' to Patrick and he nodded back and continued to drive, getting off at an exit.
"You almost here?" He asked.
"CASEY I can't talk because PATRICK is sitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME and were getting off the exit for Minnesota." Leigh hinted just a little.
"oh ha ha sorry. Just wanted to know where you were but now I know so I'll see you soon." He laughed at himself.
"You too bye" Leigh said in a softer voice.
"Bye"
And there it went everything she said earlier about how she hasn't talk to Pete lately. Out the Window!
Before Leigh had time to sulk though the sign said "Welcome to Milwaukee."
