The Words That I Can't Say, chapter 20

Leigh turned to Patrick, "We are HERE!" Leigh suddenly over excited about the journey.

"Yes we are! Only about another 10 minutes and we'll be at the hotel." Patrick said. "so what do you want to do first when we get there?"

"Well something is still not clear to me, where will I sleep during this fantastic vacation?" Leigh asked. Her head was in her hands while her elbows rested on the little cd thing in-between the two seats.

"ON THE FLOOR." Patrick said in a commanding voice, "No I'm just kidding, well if you want too you can, but I was planning to do that job."

"Awe you gave up your bed for me? That's sweet." Leigh said thinking why Patrick would be so nice, but they WERE a couple so spouse tend to do that stuff to show how they would give anything for there spouse. Although, Leigh was sure she would take Pete over Pat. But there's gonna be enough about Pete in this chapter so moving on.

They pulled into town 5 mins later. The city was cool. It was full of cafes' and bookstores. Culture oozed from the old places that really made the town.

A small driveway lead to a hotel. The hotel wasn't HUGE but it wasn't small either. It was homey. It contained about 4 stories with a pool, free breakfast all that stuff. (but you really want to hear about Pete right?)

After parking the car, they lead themselves to the front desk in the lobby. Leigh only brought a backpack containing the necessary items. Brush, clothes, deodorant and of course a party outfit, just in case.

After checking in, Patrick lead her down a long hallway. 301, 302, 303. They passed a couple people in the hall. A group of girls about 13ish giggled and stared as Patrick passed them. Leigh comment asking what that was about, but Patrick just shook his head. The numbers continued on until 347. Patrick put the little card thing in the door. A light flickered green before Pat opened the door to reveal a spacious 2 bed suite.

"If there's two beds than why can't I just sleep in the other one?" Leigh asked putting her bag on a chair in the front of the room.

"Because that would be my bed Hun." Came a voice that sounded both creepy and good, if that's possible. And there in the doorway to the bathroom stood Pete Wentz. It had been the first time she had seen him since 'the incident.' He was still hot but came on kind of mean.

"I am forced to share a room with him, it was in my contract. So you guys will just have to avoid each other at all cost." Patrick said moving his hands apart to represent space.

But Patrick didn't know that space was the farthest thing Leigh wanted from Pete. "I don't think that will be hard right Lei Lei?" Pete asked in a snotty voice.

Why was he being so mean? Leigh didn't get it. Pete crossed in front of Leigh to get to the drawers. He turned and winked at her oh so suddenly. Ah. So a good actor he wanted to be, did he? Well he wasn't the only one too have his share in childhood musicals.

"It won't be hard at all." Leigh said almost as cold as Keira Knightly in Pirates of the Caribbean. She winked back before Patrick turned around.

"Well to avoid anymore insults and wisecracks, Leigh would you care to join me for lunch?" Patrick held his arm out. Leigh put her arm on his, "I would love too Patrick." But just as they began to turn, Leigh mouthed "help me" to Pete. Pete motioned laughing to Leigh for a reply.

LATER THAT NIGHT MAYBE LIKE 10ISH

Leigh yawned. "I got to wake up early tomorrow, so I better hit the sack." She really couldn't stand spending another minute with Bachelor Pat. She felt too bad for him. He was more of an annoying (but funny) brother. Not a full out boyfriend.

She changed into PJ's a pair of shorts and her pe shirt from school. She fell asleep almost instantly.

She began to dream. It was like a weird episode of the Hawthorne Heights video. Except Pete and Leigh were the girl and the boy. And Patrick was the weird angel thing. Except there was no way for them to be together. The weird angel was like evil and put barriers between Pete and Leigh. Whether it was fights, people, or time they couldn't be together.

But Leigh was suddenly awoken by a hand over her mouth. She looked up at a face in the dark. It was long but smiled. It sshhhed Leigh. Leigh stared at the clock. What could Pete possibly be planning at 3:09 in the morning?
He motioned her over to the door. She was still in her pajamas. Pete closed the door slowly. An awkward silence hung for only about 2 milliseconds. Then Leigh jumped on Pete. She had wanted to hug him so long. She got of him.

"Ok I need you to get dressed. I want to take you somewhere." Pete whispered with a smiled on his face.

Pete was wearing (incase you wondered) jeans a clandestine sweatshirt, and a blue shirt. He unlocked the door softly. He opened it and waited for Leigh.

Leigh was short on time, and had to be quite. She was glad she brought the party outfit. Jeans and a tank top with a cropped white knit cardigan was perfect for these cool fall nights in the Midwest.

She brushed her hair. It was nearly straight. But she still wish she could have done it.

Leigh stepped out the door. She closed the door behind her. Pete ducked down and kissed her. This time it felt right. Like two pieces of a puzzle, there lips fit.

Now what did she give it up?!?! *sigh*
