A Kid Named Billie Joe Armstrong, chapter 4
As soon as Billie got there, he knocked on the door, and it was lucky enough that Mike answered, and said, "Hey Billie! What are you doing here?"
And Billie replied, "Dude it's a long story, are you going to let me in or what?"
Then Mike said, "Oh sorry man, come in," stepping aside to let him in.
Bill said, "Thanks" and sat on the couch.
Mike asked, "So what happened?"
Billie started off..."Well it all started when mom was standing outside and decided to scold me in the kitchen, and well I kind of said the truth when dad came in and well all mom managed to say was, 'Go to your room and get your things, cause I don't wanna see your face again'."
From there his eyes shed in tears and Mike tried to console him. Then he said, "And can you imagine that my stepdad had my back instead of my own mom when I asked him if he would kick me out and he said, 'No, never'."
Mike said, "Man, it's okay, you could stay at my house as long as you like, and I'll explain this to mom and dad later on."
Billie said, "Really? Thanks man I owe you!"
Night approached and Bill stayed sleeping on Mike's couch, while Mike slept in his bed. Bill had nightmares from what happened that day and his mom's words kept flashing back and forth in his mind.
As you can see, Billie never got kicked out of his house, but ran away a few times when things got ugly. Then, he managed to fall into a deep sleep while counting sheep until morning.
The morning approached and he woke to find Mike not there, and said to himself, "Maybe he had to wake up early, I might as well wake up too." He then got up from the couch and headed to the bathroom, after that, he got dressed and headed downstairs. Once he got there, he smelled fresh waffles coming from the kitchen along with burned toast.
He then went inside and found Mike putting the waffles on the table and then heading for the burned toast. Bill managed to say, "I'll handle that," scaring the 'bejesus' out of Mike.
Mike said,"Man! You're so quiet, that I didn't even know you were here! What the fuck man?!"
"Oh sorry man, I just didn't know you could jump so high", Billie said jokingly.
