A Kid Named Billie Joe Armstrong, chapter 5
Mike managed to say back,"Ha ha very funny, settle down and eat your waffles, alright?"
Then Bill said like a 3 year old, "Alright daddy, I will."
As soon as he was done with his breakfast, he headed to the back yard to think about things and to smoke a joint just to clear his mind. Mike went outside too to meet him and asked, "What's on your mind?"
Then Billie took a drag and said, "Just about what happened and if I should go back or not."
Then Mike finally said what Billie himself couldn't even imagine he would say,"Well what's in your heart pal?"
Billie blinked twice and said surprised, "What?"
Mike said,"You heard me, so what is it?"
Billie manged to say, "Well....I don't know...um I'm planning on staying a few more days if it's okay with you?"
Then Mike said,"Of course! You may stay here as long as you need to, just call home to let them know you're safe."
"Alright, but I don't want to," Billie said pouting like a three year old. Mike let out a laugh and they came back inside.
Then Mike made Bill call and here is his coversation:
"Hello."
"Hey it's me Billie."
"Oh! Billie how are you and where are you?"
"I'm fine and I'm at Mike's."
"Oh, well do you want me to pick you up, or do you need more time?"
"I think I need more time."
"Oh...Alright well I guess I'll see you whenever and I'm really glad that you're alright."
"Okay...thanks dad and thanks for understanding too."
"Okay Bill you're welcome and see yah soon."
"Alright, bye"
*Hung up*
"So everything's fine?" Mike suddenly asked.
Bill said, "Yeah, I think so."
Mike said,"Ok so.....um...you wanna go for a walk or a drive or something?"
"Alright, I prefer a walk", Billie said back.
Then Mike said, "Okay, then let's go."
They walked out the front door and Mike locked it on the way out. As they were walking, they saw some random guy looking straight at Billie, and Billie sensed it and looked at the guy's direction, and the guy looked to the side.
Mike said, "Damn Billie! Even a guy is checking you out!" and lets out a laugh.
Then to Mikes surprise Billie said, "I don't mind."
