A Kid Named Billie Joe Armstrong, chapter 6
Mike managed to say in a loud whisper, "Are you gay or something?!"
Then Billie said, "Mike, we gotta talk."
Mike replied, "Okay, what do you need to tell me, Billie Joe? 'Cause you are starting to freak me out."
"Okay, man, I'm sorry that I haven't told you before that I'm bi. I haven't told you 'cause I thought you would run out on me after we've been friends for so long, you know?" Billie managed to say, coming clean.
Then Mike said, "Man! Since when?"
"Since 8th grade, when I first saw that teacher from 6th period," Billie said with a chuckle.
"Damn! You actually thought he was fine?!"
"Yeah, he had a nice ass too," Billie said, remembering the good days.
"Man, you even checked him out... you really gross me out, but it's pretty funny."
"So are you gonna accept me?" Billie asked.
Mike replied in a joking manner, "Yeah, man. It doesn't matter anyway, unless you think I'm attractive too."
"Yeah, you're quite attractive... You know, you're so attractive that I would even make out with you right now!" Billie jokingly said and Mike let out a laugh.
Then they got up and started walking again and there was a long silence until Mike finally said, "Um... so... where do you wanna go?"
Billie replied, "I don't know... wherever the road leads us to I guess."
"Okay. Wait, Billie, I think I see the guy again!"
"Really? He must be following us I guess."
"Man! Maybe he's trying to get his pot of gold," Mike said, looking straight at Billie with a small smile. Then he saw the guy looking at Billie again and he decided to walk up to him.
As he approached Mike and Billie, he said, looking at Billie's direction, "Hi, I'm Tre Cool and ever since I saw you, I couldn't take my eyes off you."
"I'm Billie and also noticed and you've been staring for quite a while now."
Mike introduced himself and said, "I guess I'll leave you two alone," with smile on his face.
Billie and Tre talked for a while, until it was getting late and Mike signaled Billie to go. Billie and Tre said good bye and to Mike's surprise, he saw the two locking lips. They pulled away and gave each other a hug, then Tre and Billie went their separate ways.
Mike said in a girly way, "That was sooo sweet!"
Billie said, "Shut up," with a smile.
Then Mike asked, "How does it feel?"
"It feels the same as when you kiss a girl, only the girl's lips are juicier, at times softer, but it's horrible when you get lipstick stuck on your lips, ew."
"Man! You missed the point, how did his lips feel?!"
"Okay, okay, they felt quite soft, like he uses chapstick or something."
"Aawww, man, did you get his number?"
"Yep, right here."
Bill showed Mike his hand and he observed it and said, "You got yourself a man!"
"I'm glad I did, but do you think I should call him?"
"Yeah, I think you should, unless he calls you first."
"Alright, let's bet on it. If he calls me first, you owe me twenty bucks, but if my cell doesn't ring to the point that I have to call him, I owe you twenty. How does that sound?"
"Sweet... deal."
Then Billie said, "Mike, we gotta talk."
