What's With This Girl?, chapter 4
"Darby you shouldn't drive so fast." I yelled, "We're not in any hurry."
"Yes we are. This is Brian's car, if he found out I took it, I'll be on the first train to military school."
When we got to the hotel Darby didn't even bother trying to park the car in an actual parking spot.
"Come on Kira let's go."
He took me by the hand and dragged me all the way to the front desk. "Wait what name are they under?" Darby asked.
"It's on the directions. It's Tre real name."
"Like I know what that is."
"Just leave this part to me please."
I walked up to the front desk to this feminine looking man behind the desk.
"Hi. Is Frank Wright in his hotel room?"
"I'm sorry but I can't give that information to anyone who is not family to our guest."
"Well um... "
"I'm his son Darby." Darby said. What the hell?
"Hold on." The receptionist said. 'I'll call the room." Well I'll be damned. It actually worked.
"Mr. Wright said you can come up." Darby and me ran over to the elevator thinking that if we didn't hurry the receptionist was going to find out we were full of shit. We walked down the hall to the guys' hotel room and knocked on the door.
"Well, this is where I leave you little sister." Darby gave me a kiss in the forehead and ran down the stairs. I knocked on the door again.
"Who is it?" Tre said in a womanly voice.
"It's me Kira." "You're going to have come back later, we're doing the dishes."
"Tre let me in dammit."
"Okay fine." Tre opened the door and I gave him a huge hug.
"How's my favorite minor doing?" "I won't be a minor for long. I'm turning 18 in three days."
"Three days?" Mike said. "Well we're in Philly for four days. We should do something for your birthday."
"Yeah." I said, "That would be cool. As long as I have my accomplice Darby, I'll be able to get out of the house."
"So you sneaked out of the house?" Billie said. "You're a bad little girl."
"You should talk Billie, leaving me the address and directions to the hotel in my mailbox." "That sounds just like you Billie." I heard a woman say in the back room. Then appeared Billie's wife, Adrienne. I've never met her I've just heard about her from Tre.
"Hey baby, Kira this is Adie, Adie this is Kira."
"Hey. So you're the one Tre's been talking about."
"Yeah that's me." She looks me up and down and then laughs.
"Tre you liar, her boobs aren't as big as mine." She said.
"They're pretty big but they're not as big as mine." "Tre did you really say that?" I asked.
"Ok can we change the subject please?" Tre said. "Yeah this is getting a little awkward." I said. I looked over at Tre who was really blushing. It was kind of nice knowing Tre noticed my body.
"So where are Donnie. Monty and Ricky?" I asked "They're down at the pool." Mike said. "You can go down there if you want?" "I don't have a swimsuit."
"That's okay I'll go get you one." Tre said. "I don't think so." Adie said.
"It would be too weird for you to go downstairs and ask for a woman's swimsuit. I'll get it." "I was saying she could borrow one of Claudia's."
"Like Claudia's stuff could fit this little girl? Come on Kira." Adie took me by the hand and me and her walked out the room to the gift shop."
"I can't believe Adie said that about Kira's boobs." Tre said. "Yeah man that was pretty fucking funny."
Mike said, "You should have seen your face." "It would have been even funnier if she mentioned what you said about her ass." Billie said.
"I've never said anything about her ass." "Yeah you did. You remember that night before we started touring? You got really drunk. Mike you remember?" "Oh yeah." Mike said.
"I even remember what you said about if you ever had the chance to sleep with her." "Okay I've never said anything like that." Tre said "Yeah you did. I distinctively remember you saying that if you got the chance to sleep with her you would dress her up in a school girl uniform and make her call you Teacher Wright."
"Oh yeah." Billie said.
"You also said that you would bang her so hard, she would be saying the multiplication table backwards. OH TEACHER WRIGHT! OHHHH OHHHH 36 EQUALS 6 TIMES 6!" Mike started laughing.
"Oh yeah man I remember that." "Why do you two always have to bring up the past?" Tre said.
Meanwhile Adie and me were downstairs in the gift shop trying to find me a swimsuit. "What do you think about this one?" Adie asked. "Yeah that's cute."
"What's wrong with you Kira?"
"Um... Adie?"
"Yeah?"
"Who's Claudia?" She gave me this real confused look.
"You don't know? Claudia's Tre's new wife."
"What?"
"He didn't tell you did he?"
"No."
"Oh shit I said too much" I heard her whisper to herself. "Well... Uhh... I'll go buy this for you."
She ran over to the register. I can't believe it. Tre got married and didn't tell me. How could he? That's like me marrying Dannie and having four kids and not telling him. I was so fucking pissed.
Me and Adie went back up to the hotel room. "It took you guys long enough." Tre said.
"I'm gonna go change." I said. I went pass the guys without saying another word and went into Billie and Adie's room.
"What wrong with her?" Mike said. "Tre this is your fault. How could you not tell her?"
"Adie what are you talking about?" Billie said. "I'm talking about Tre not telling Kira that he remarried. You should have seen the look on her face when I told her."
"YOU TOLD HER!" Tre yelled.
"Yeah I did tell her, and you're an asshole for not telling her." "She's got a point. That was a dick move." Mike says.
"Ok. I'm gonna straighten this out. I'm going back there to talk to her." Tre said.
"I bet you $20 that he'll bust in on her when she's naked." Adie said. "Ok you're on." Mike said. "Wait I'm in this too." Billie said. "And I bet another $30 that he doesn't leave the room right away."
Meanwhile, I was in the room changing into the swimsuit. I couldn't believe he didn't tell me. I should kick his ass. But it wasn't that he didn't tell me that got me so pissed. It was that he got married in the first place. The truth is that I really did want to be with Tre, but now I'm positive it's not gonna happen. Thank God I didn't break up with Dannie like I was planning to. Just at that moment I was about to put on the top to my swimsuit, when I heard the door open. "Hey Kira can I talk to you for a minute.... OH SHIT!" Tre yelled. "God dammit Tre, can't you knock?" "Shit Kira I'm sorry." "Tre?" "Yeah?" "GET OUT!" "Oh I'm sorry." Tre just ran out of the room and sat back on the couch. Adie ran over and sat next to Tre. "Was she naked?" she asked. "Topless." "YES! YES! I KNEW IT! MIKE, PAY ME MY MONEY!" "Wait... Did you leave the room right away?" Billie said. "Well... Not really." Tre said "HA! YEAH! I KNEW IT! GIVE ME MY DAMN MONEY MIKE!" Billie yelled. "Um.... Guys?" I asked. "What are you talking about?" "Nothing Kira." They all said in unison. I knew they were talking about me but I didn't say anything. "Kira you ready?" Adie said. "Yeah let's go." I said. "Hey I'm coming too!" Tre said. "Okay you big baby let's go."
Me, Tre, and Adie went down to the pool and we saw Monty, Donnie, and Ricky at the pool. They were with another girl who I guessed was Claudia. "Oh My God! Kira!" Monty screamed. She jumped out of the pool and gave me a huge hug. "How did you get out of the house?" "Darby and Billie helped me." "Come here I want to talk to you for a minute." Monty dragged me over to a corner. "I'm sorry about the whole Tre thing." "Don't worry about it Monty. I'll get over it." "Yeah, it's just that... Mike told me about Tre getting married and I wanted to tell you, but Mike said I shouldn't. That Tre should tell you himself." "Yeah well he didn't. I found out from Adie." "Damn. That sucks." "Yeah."
After a while Tre finally introduced me to Claudia. I wanted to hate her, I really did, but she was so nice. That made it pretty hard to hate her. Later, me, Tre and Monty went back upstairs. Tre wanted me to go in the bedroom with him because he wanted to talk. "So... What did you want to talk about?" I asked. "I'm sorry about walking in on you earlier." "Tre don't worry about that." "So was that why you were mad at me?" "Tre, I wasn't mad at you." "Adie said you were mad at me." "Well I was, but not anymore." "Why were you mad?" "It was a stupid reason." "Just tell me." "No it was stupid" "KIRA?" I heard Monty yell. "What?" "We're all going downstairs." "Ok." So me and Tre were all by ourselves. Dammit. "I know why you were mad." Dammit "Why?" "Because I didn't tell you about Claudia." "Well I'm not gonna lie I was kind of pissed." "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. It's just that, Monty told Mike and Mike told me that you... Kind of like me. And I didn't want to hurt you. But I guess I hurt you anyway. I'm sorry." "Now I'm pissed at Monty for telling Mike." "Don't kill her for telling Mike." "I won't I promise." "Good." We were quiet for a few minutes until Tre finally said. "So you do like me huh?" "Shut up Tre." "Well do you?" "Shut up Tre." "Well I can understand why. I am really sexy. I mean look at this body." "Shut up Tre!" "What? Am I making you hot?" "Oh my God Tre shut up!" I said hysterically laughing while watching him lift up his shirt dancing around. "You are such an idiot." "I know, but hey, somebody likes me just the way I am." "Okay Tre." Tre sat back down next to me on the bed. "We should go downstairs where everyone is." I said. "Yeah we should." I leaned over to Tre and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Don't tell Monty, but you are the best friend I've ever had." I got up off the bed and was about to walk out of the door, when Tre took my hand and sat me back on the bed. "Kira I'm so sorry." Tre said. "But I have to do this." He moved over closer to me on the bed and put his arms around my waist. Oh God tell me this isn't happening. Then he kissed me, but this kiss was different, than any other kiss he had ever given me. He kissed me on the lips this time. It was the longest most passionate kiss I've ever had. Tre started to lean more on top of me until I was lying on the bed completely under Tre. "We really shouldn't do this." I said. "Yeah we really shouldn't." Tre said. Then he kissed me again. I'm dreaming this isn't happening. Ok yes it is.
