A, B, C, D, E, F, Green Day, chapter 1

"Just get the hell out of the house and leave me alone for once!" a woman in her twenties yelled into the face of a 13 year old.

That 13 year old was me. I was born Kathryn, but like everyone else in the world, I hate my name so it became Katie.

"Fine I will, and this time when the sun goes down I won't be home to clean up your mess!" I screamed.

I just ran out the door of that house. I didn't care where I went or where the hell I ended up at. I just had to get away from her screaming at me and my dad.

I didn't care until I showed up at the local 7-eleven. It was the usual place I called my home once she decided to kick me out. It had everything you needed. Donuts and the ocassional free beer when Billie Joe and the gang came to town.

It had been quite sometime since I had seen Billie Joe. He had gone on tour to try and get the band on a roll. He promised that he would show up the next time my mom had one of her fits. And this was the day.

I scanned the scene looking for his jet black hair in the crowd of techni- color hair and punks playing the drums, like the rest of us just trying to earn some money.

Then I saw him. He looked the same as last time only now he was so much more beautiful.

" Come here Katie, I damn missed you!" he cried, hugging me in his tight embrace.

"How do you think I felt? My mom is in her moods again. She's been out of it for a few days now. But let's not care about that now, cuz i know when your in town there is always a beer to drink."

"That's right, Tre if you will."

"Sure thing BJ," Tre yelled, running into the 7-eleven to grab us some beer to take back to our place.

After about an hour we finally came to the house, beer and all. "How long she want you out of the house this time?" Billie Joe yelled as we entered the house.

"Oh she just said to get the hell out and don't come back for God knows how long. But since she doesn't care, can I hang out here for a few days?"

"You know that you don't have to ask. We all know there's gonna be a party if you stay here. Plus Tre got some new drums so we can rock the neighborhood!" yelled Mike from the kitchen.

"Well the sun is going down and tomorrow is gonna be huge if Katie is staying the night so we better get our rest now," said Tre, hitting his head against the head of his new drums.

"Just go to my room, your stuff is still there from last time. Plus Mike tried to clean your black shirt with the GD sign on it and it turned a funky black color. And I mean the color like when Tre got sick last time," Billie Joe laughed. Tre had gotten really high and as things go, he got sick.

"Sure thing Billie," I called, walking up the stairs.
