"Damn that was some awesome beer!" Tre yelled as he came in the door.
"Tell me about it Tre. Wonder where Katie is. Oh there she is, hey Kate. You still awake?" Mike said, somewhat softer.
"Well, I am now. So I take it you all had a good time. I need to tell you some-" Katie tried to say, before she was interupted by Billie Joe coming in and sitting right on top of her.
"Hey babe. Missed you." Billie Joe said, kissing me on the mouth. For being drunk he had pretty good aim when he was kissing.
"He's sweet when he's drunk. Embrace it because he is gonna be mad as hell in the morning when he's got a major hangover," Tre said before falling asleep on the floor.
"I'm gonna play on the x-box. I need a little bit of fun before I have my hangover too. And for once listen to Tre. Billie Joe is only this sweet when he is getting it on with a girl or when he's drunk," Mike said, going to get more coffee before playing Tony Hawk.
I looked down at Billie Joe. He had a dazed look in his eyes, but still he looked at me lovingly.
"Do you know how hot you look at three in the morning?" Billie Joe asked, with a gay grin on his face.
"Well I guess I'll take that as a compliment. Billie Joe you know you shouldn't drink this much, since you're taking me to that party day after tommorrow. Plus I'm bringing a friend, so I hope you don't care," Katie told him, running her hand gently through his hair. She loved messing around with it. Though usually Billie Joe never let anyone touch his hair.
I guess that was one more good thing about him being stone drunk.
Slowly before he fell asleep again Billie Joe whispered, "I love you Kat. You know that right?" He didn't say it as though he was drunk though. He said it as though he really ment it. Like the night when I had stayed in his room.
"I know Billie Joe. 'Cause I think I love you too," she said making sure that he was out.
Snuggling closer to his sleeping form Katie fell asleep. And she no longer felt guilty about Adie coming or the fact that she didn't tell her about Billie Joe. She felt like she was floating on air.
Because she had told Billie Joe the truth and he really seemed to love her too.
"I love with all my soul Billie Joe," she whispered one last time before falling asleep.
