A Devilsih Smile And A Stare That Could Melt Your Heart, chapter 2
He walked over to her.
"Hey, you ok?" he asked her. 'God, how stupid can I get? are you ok... I mean she is balling her eyes out. Smart one Armstrong. Smart' He thought to himself.
"Oh, I didn't know anyone was out here. Yeah I'm fantastic," she said in a sarcastic tone.
"Sorry, I'll go if you want," Billie said giving her a weak smile.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything, I'm Isabella," she said apologetically while wiping her tears.
"No probelma, I'm Billie Joe, but just call me Billie," he said while giving her his devilish smile.
"Nice name" she replied with a cheeky smile.
"Thanks, yours is very pretty too. So why were you balling your eyes out a moment before?" he asked with a very sincere expression.
"Oh, I just got a call from my mum... my dad had..." Was all Isabella managed to say before breaking into a fit of sobs.
"Hey, hey, it's ok... it'll be alright," Billie said, shocked that one sentence could cause such a break down.
"No it's not going to be alright... look you have no idea," she said staring him straight in the eye, while the tears where running down her face.
"Are you sure I would have no idea?" said Billie having sudden flashbacks of the day his dad died. He was only ten. He was sitting patiently on the seats in the hospital's waiting room. A silent tear ran down his face.
He looked up at Isabella and said "What happened, if you don't mind me asking, that is."
"My mum called me 15 minutes ago and told me that my dad died... although the doctors had been expecting it for ages it just hit me really hard. Sorry I'm blabbing onto you... I might go," she said between sobs, not managing to look Billie in the eye.
"No, don't go. Please," he said with a weak smile, "I lost my dad when I was ten. I'm not looking for a sympathy vote or anything... I just told you that so you know I can... well, kinda relate to you."
Isabella managed to give him a smile. "Thanks, but I should go, see how my mum is coping, you know? That kinda thing," she said slowly standing up.
"Oh, yeah I understand, would you like me to walk you there?" he asked. 'Walk you... oh god... I seriously need some wheels' he thought to himself.
"Yeah, sure, though would you rather go in my car?" she asked.
"Oh yeah that'd be cool" he said slightly embarrassed.
She let out a small giggle. 'Ha a giggle... is that good... I don't want her to think I'm a clown or anything... hmmm brain... SHUT UP' He thought to himself and let out a small laugh.
He walked through the party with Isabella by his side, hoping not to bump into Adrienne.
He felt safe the moment he left through the door,
"So which car is yours?" he asked while looking down the street full of cars.
"Um... I think it's that way" She said pointing left.
They started walking left when they reached her car.
"I'll drive, you shouldn't be at the wheel of a car when your distraught," Billie stated.
"Ok, if you say so," she replied while rolling her eyes at him. She chucked the keys to him and got into the car.
"Ok, now where do these go... I've forgotten," said Billie while pointing to the keys.
Isabella stared at him 'He can't be serious, this is just what I need... hmmph' She thought to herself.
"I'm joking... stress less," said Billie with a huge grin on his face.
He started the car and followed her directions to her house. He got out and opened the door for her.
"Well, thank you," she said in a posh voice.
"No problem Madam. Here are your keys, and my phone number," he replied with a wink.
"You can drive my car to your house if you want, I'll pick it up tomorrow," she said with a smile.
"Nah, it's cool, I'll walk, it's not far," he said.
"Ok then, and thanks for listening to me before, it means a lot to me. Good night" she said while walking towards her door.
"No problem, any time. Night." Billie said while walking down the street.
"Hey, you ok?" he asked her. 'God, how stupid can I get? are you ok... I mean she is balling her eyes out. Smart one Armstrong. Smart' He thought to himself.
