"Good Morning America... It's time get up and make a new day of... "
Mary Kay closed for the radio and got out of bed. She was tired after the party last night. It was Monday. She hated Mondays. They where so dead. She took her usual clothes on. A Metallica t-shirt and dark military colored pants with 4 Guns 'N' Roses pins on. The she puts on her make-up and goes downstairs.
She went out to the kitchen. Her mum and mums boyfriend Jeremy still where asleep. She tried to finish before they got out of bed. That was why she got up at six. She took her keys and went out to the car. As she started to drive, she discovered that she hade forgotten a real important thing. Jordan.
As she came back to the house, the light in her mother's room was on. She knew that Jordan was awake. She went in.
-Jordan, she whispered. Where are you?
-Why are you whispering, her mother asks and came out from the kitchen.
-Oh, Mary Kay said. I didn't know if you're awake.
-Of course I'm awake, her mother said. Where have you been?
-I was going to school. But I forgot Jordan so I hade to come back for him.
-Yeah right, her mother said. You have been out all night haven't ya? Don't lie to me Mary.
-No I don't. I swear to god.
-There is no such thing as god, she heard a drunk and old voice. It was Jeremy's.
-How you know, her mother asks. You're drunk almost everyday, and the other days you just sleep from the hangovers.
-I know everything goddamit, he says. Don't mess with me woman. If you do, you'll me mess with your life.
-Yeah right, her mother says.
-Can I please get Jordan so I can go to school mum, Mary Kay asks
-Yes dear, her mother answers. But do it quickly.
-I will.
Jeremy looks at Mart Kay.
-What are you looking at, she asks him.
-You, he answers. You are looking like a slut.
-What you called me, Mary Kay asks.
-A slut. That is what you are after all.
-Well, Mary Kay says. Better to be a slut than a drunken ugly man that has no life. I don't understand what mum sees in you.
She went up the steers and knocked on Jordan's door.
-Jordan James, she said. Get up.
-I'm up, he answered.
She went in to her room to get his bag.
-You didn't say that to me did you, Jeremy ask her.
-Yes I did, she answered. Now, get out of my room.
-How daer you...
-How dare I? "Daddy" I am 17 years old. I do what I want.
-That's not what I meant...
-No, she interrupts him. You meant how I dare to say something like that to you, right?
-Yeah... Yeah.
-Well. I'm not, and I repeat, NOT scared for you.
He slams her in the face with the bottle. Mary Kay falls down on her knees. She gets up and run out from the room and takes Jordan by the hand and run down the stairs. There they meet their mother.
-Oh my god, she says. What has he done?
-Fuck of, Mary Kay screams at her. You're no any better.
She goes out the door.
-Get in the car quickly Jordan, she says,
-Why, he asks.
-Because I say so.
They get in the car. Her mother comes out.
-Mary, she says and gives her an address. This is your father. Seek him. I have already called him and told that you're coming.
-What about Jordan James, she asks.
-Take him with you. None of you have to live like this.
-But mum...
-No buts Mary.
-I love you mum, Mary Kay says and a tear have fund its way down her cheek.
-Me to, Jordan says.
-I love you to, their mum says. Now go. And Mary.
-Yes?
-You have a big brother. You say hi from me, won't you?
-Yes. But... Eh.. What's his name?
-Billie Joe, she answers.
-Okay. Bye mum.
-I don't wanna leave you mum, Jordan says crying.
-There, there Jordan. She says. I'm always I your heart. As long you know that, I'll be with you. Okay?
-Okay. I love you.
-Love you to Jordan James. Now go Mary. I'll send you clothes.
-Bye mum, she says.
The drives of. She looks at the paper. "Daniel Armstrong, Main street 4 Rodeo, California."

As she comes to Rodeo it is dark. She goes to the address she got from her mum. As she rings the bell, there is no answer. She rings again. A tall man comes to open the door.
-Can I help you, he asks.
-Daniel Armstrong, Mary asks.
-My god. Mary Kay?
-Yes.
-Who, who's this, ha asks and looks at Jordan.
-His name is Jordan James. My brother. Mum... Mum wanted him to come with me. She doesn't want that Jeremy would hurt him to.
-Oh, he says. I see. Well come in. You must be very tired and hungry. You want anything to eat?
-Yes please, Jordan says.
-Okay, Daniel says. I'll be back in a sec with something to eat. You can make yourself as home. After all. This is you home.
-Thanks, Mary Kay says.
-Thanks, Mr. Armstrong.
-Your welcome, He answers. And you can call me Daniel.
Jordan smiles and looks down to the floor. Mary Kay takes him by the hand and goes over to the sofa. After a few minutes Daniel comes back with tea and some sandwiches. The doors open.
-Ah, Daniel says. Billie Joe?
-Yes, the person asks from the hall.
-Cab you come in to the living room for a sec.
-What, he asks.
-I want you to meet someone, Daniel says as Billie Joe comes in.
Billie Joe looks at Mary Kay and Jordan.
-Billie, Daniel starts. This is Mary Kay and Jordan James. Your brother and sister.
-Hi, Mary Kay says and tries to smile.
-Hi, Billie Joe says and walks out to the kitchen. By the way. Mike and Tré come over in a bit dad.
-What, Daniel says. I told you that your sister was coming.
-So?
Billie Joe looks at his dad and then he goes upstairs.
-He's... Shy. Well, you wanna see your rooms don't ya?
-Yes, Jordan says.
-Sure, Mary answers.
They go upstairs and in to a small room.
-Well, Daniel says. This can be Jordan's room. If you don't mind of course.
-Well..., Jordan begins.
-He doesn't, Mary Kay says.
-Well, and then let's go to the next room.
-I'll stay here if you don't mind, Jordan says.
-I don't, Daniel says. Let's go Mary.
They go in to a bigger room with blood red colored walls and black colored floor.
-This used to be Billie's room. But he changed to my old bedroom. I have a bedroom downstairs. I can repaint the walls if you want.
-No, Mary Kay says. It's just fine as it is.
-Are you sure?
-Yes.
-Okay. Well Then I leave you to it.
-Okay.
Daniel left the room, closing the door after him. Mary Kay goes over by the window and looks out. The garden is big and has a swing. She smiles. She and Jordan used to swing often. She comes out of the day dreaming as it knocks on the door. She went over to open. It's Billie Joe.
-Can I help you, she asks.
-I still have something lying on the closet, Billie Joe says. If you don't mind I'm going to get my stuff.
-Sure.
She opens the door. He comes in a goes directly over to the closet. He takes to big bags and tries to take the last on as well.
-I can help you with the last one, Mary Kay says and takes the last one. Oh my god. What do you have in this bag? Concrete?
-Yeah, Billie Joe says and laughs. No. It is some old stuff I had when I was younger.
-Ah, Mary Kay says. Okay.
They go in to his room. She looks around as she puts the bag down.
-Nice room, she says.
-Thank you, he answers. I can help you with yours if you want.
-Thanks, but I think I can do it in my own. But I will ask you, IF I need some help.
-Okay. Well thank you again.
-You're welcome.
As Mary opens the door two guys' falls over her.
-Shit, a tall guy says and gets up on his feet's.
-I'm sorry, the other one says and also gets up on his feet's.
-Lookout next time, Mary says and gets up on her feet's with a little help from Billie Joe.
The other guys look at her.
-You've got a new girl without telling us BJ, the tall one asks Billie Joe.
-No Mike, he answers.
-Then who's this, the other one asks.
-This is my sister Mary Kay, Billie Joe says.
-Sister, the one named Mike said. You don't have a sister.
-Yes I do. I have a brother to if you wanna know.
-And you never told us, Mike asked.
-My dad told me today.
Jordan came running in to the room.
-Mary Kay, he yelled. Mary mum called.
-Did she, Mary watch her brother with a suspicious look.
-Yes. She said that dad is looking after us.
-Well..., Mary began.
-What if I find us.
-He won't.

Jordan ran out of the room and slammed his door.
-That's your brother, Mike asked.
-Yes, Billie Joe answered. He's... Kinda... Well he is cute but... Ya'll know what I mean.
-Well, Mary Kay said. I'm going to bed now. Bye Mike and... Blondie.
-Blondie, the other guy asked. My name is Frank Wright. Or Tré if you want.
-Okay, Mary smiled. By... Mr. Wright. By the way, mum says hi BJ.
-Well.., Billie Joe said. Say hi back.
Mary Kay smiled and went out of his room.
-She is cute, Tré said as soon that she had closed the door.
-Tré, Billie Joe said. Are you looking my sister out?
-Maybe, Tré said.
-Well... You maybe not have chance. I mean. You just meet her.
-Well how long have you known her?
Billie Joe shocked his head.
-Let's go out and have some fun guys, Mike then said.
-Yeah, Billie Joe said. Come on Blondie.
Billie Joe took Tré by the neck with his arms.
-My name is Tré Cool, Tré said. TRÉ COOL!
-Whatever man, Billie Joe said laughing.
Down in the living room Mary Kay stood crying and talked in the phone.
-Mum listen, she said. I don't care... Well that is his problem not mine... Screw him. Fuck you. Fuck this world. Fuck my life! I don't care...! Then leave him.
Mary Kay looked at the tree boys that were looking at her.
-Mum, she said tired. I have to go. No, I don't want to listen. Bye.
She hung up. The she looked at the guys.
-What, she said.
They shocked their head. She looked at them with a cold eye. The she shocked her head to.
-Mum's afraid that's all, she said as calm she could.
But as she says that he can't fight the tears and sits down in the sofa. Billie Joe walked over to her. He sits down beside her.
-You're okay, he asks.
-Yes, she answers. I'm just tired that's all.
-Okay. Why don't you go to bed.
-I don't want to go to bed.
-Well, Mike says. How about come with us then.
-Where are you going, she asks and looks at Billie Joe.
-Out, Billie Joe says. Wanna come?
-Sure, she says and smiles.
-Then let's go, Billie Joe says and goes out to the hallway. The others to.
Mary Kay, that still sits in the sofa, gets up and goes out to the hallway as well. She takes her jacket and put on her shoes. Then they go out.

As they pass a big park Mary Kay sees some swings.
-Wait here a sec, she says to the guys and runs towards the swings.
-Why..., Billie Joe asks. Where are you going?
-You sister is a little childish, Mike says.
-I think she is cute, Tré says.
Both Mike and Billie Joe look at him.
-What, Tré asks.
-Nothing, they both says and shocks their heads.
When they look at Mary Kay, she sits on one of the swings and smiles. She slowly starts to swing. Then she goes higher, and higher, and higher. The she jumps and land in the sand. She laughs so much that she gets sand in her mouth. At last, she walks laughing back to the guys. Then all starts to laugh.
-You're so childish, Billie Joe says.
-Yes and I'm fucking proud of it, Mary Kay yells up to the sky. The she looks on the guys. She caught herself with watching Tré. He looks at her and smiles. She smiles back and looks down on the ground.
-Shit, then Mike says. Sam and Ed are coming.
-So, Tré asks. If they is after a fight I'm gonna kick his ass.
-Yeah right, Mary Kay says.
-Well, well, well, the tall of them says. What do we have here?
-What you want, Billie Joe asks.
The tall one walks around Mary Kay.
-Who's this, he asks. Your new girlfriend BJ?
-No, Billie Joe answers. She's my sister.
-Sister? I didn't know that you had a sister. How about you Eddie?
-No, the other boy said.
-She hot.
-And you're not, Mary Kay says.
-Oh, bitchy?

-Leave her alone Sam, Billie Joe said.
-Why, he asks.
-Because she doesn't like you anyway, Tré says.
-And you think she likes you, he laughs Tré in the face.
-I rather take Tré than you, she says and takes Tré's hand.
Sam takes a grip around Tré's neck. The he hits him really hard I the face. Tré falls to the ground....
