It's Something Unpredictable, It's the Time Of My Life, chapter 30
A few days past and Jessica and I haven't gone out with the guys but we spent a lot of our time with Mariah. Ah yes fun times. We did anything we felt like. One Friday night Mariah was at our house. We were watching Saw II in the dark the whole house had no light except for the TV and the moonlight from the window. We were so into the movie that any little sound can scare us to bits. Our eyes were wide and glued to the TV that we didn't notice shadows that were overlapping the light that was in our room. I turned my head to look out the window but no one was out there. I shrugged it off and looked back at the TV. Just then we all hear the front door slowly squinking open. Jessica paused the movie. "Steph did you lock the front door?" she asked. I shook my head. We all looked at each other fearfully. We all turned our head to look at the door. It was wide open. I slowly got up and walk towards it. Mariah and Jessica followed close behind. I looked out the door but no one in sight, just an empty neighborhood.
"Is anybody there?" Mariah asked. I shook my head.
"No I don't see anyone." I closed the door and locked it. Just then I felt hands going upon my shoulder. My eyes went wide. "Mariah stop trying to scare me," I said thinking that it was Mariah's hand on my shoulder.
"What? It's not me..." she said and showed me both of her hands for evidence. I turned my head to Jessica thinking it was her, but no. I quickly turned my body to see three sillhouettes of men. I screamed causing both Jessica and Mariah to scream as well. One the men flicked open the lights and there in front of me stood Billie, Tre and Mike laughing their heads off. I pushed Tre.
"You guys are such jerks!" I yelled.
"Oh my God...you...you should of saw the look on your face!" Tre said in between laughs.
"It was priceless!" Billie added.
"You guys gave me a fuckin' heart attack!" Mariah yelled.
"What are you guys doing here anyways?" Jessica asked.
"We came to pick you up...seeing as you guys were watching a movie we just had to scare you...oh and thanks for having the front door open," Mike said and winked.
"Pick us up for what?" Mariah asked.
"To the bar of course!" Billie said.
"Lets us go!" Tre said and he slid his way to the door. He opened up the door and jumped out. We all laughed.
"Let me get my keys and cell phone first," I said and walked toward my room. I grabbed my keys from my night table and my phone and went back to where the guys were.
"Got everything?" Billie asked with a smile.
"Yuppies lets go!" I grabbed my coat and locked the door after everyone was out.
"Yay! Time to get drunk once again!" Mariah said and laughed. Billie put his arm around her and had his other arm in the air.
"Yeah we can get drunk together!" Billie yelled. Mariah laughed. We all got in the car and I again had to sit on Tre's lap. But this time I was more comfortable then before. I was closer to him. I didn't jump when he put his arms around my waist. I lay my head on his shoulder for comfort. He sneaked a kiss on my cheek. I smiled and waited until we got to the bar. When Billie stopped the car I looked out the window to see the same bar where I met Jason that fateful night. I started to tremble in fear.
"Shhh, it will be okay, if he is there I promise I wont let him hurt you," Tre whispered in my ear and lightly kissed my neck. I smiled and nodded. We all got out of the car and walked straight toward the bar. I wished with all my heart that he wasn't there. I was the first to enter, I scanned the bar. I didn't see any signs of him at least for now. Tre grabbed my arm. "Just relax will ya?" Tre said to me. I sighed.
"It's hard to though," I said and looked up at him.
"I promised that he wouldn't hurt you again didn't I?" Tre said looking deep within my eyes. I bit my bottom lip and nodded.
"Let's just have a good time tonight." We stayed in the bar for thirty minutes and still no Jason. I had finally relaxed. Maybe I wasn't going to see him tonight. I sat at the bar with Tre, Mariah and Billie. We were just talking about random things. Mike and Jessica were at a table a meter away from us, talking among themselves. During the night I kept nudging Mariah to get closer to Billie but she didn't think it was the right time. I shrugged it off. Sooner or later it was going to be the right time and I was going to make sure that I was going to push Mariah to getting closer to Billie.
"You okay?" Tre whispered to me. I smiled.
"Yeah...I'm feeling better," I said and took sip from my margarita.
"That's good," Tre replied and took a swing at his beer.
"Hey Billie are you going to dance on the table like you did last time?" Mariah asked.
"You danced on the table?" Tre and I said in unison.
"Yeah..." Billie said. Tre and I just started laughing.
"How was he dancing?" I asked Mariah.
"Like a stripper, and he was offering Mike a lap dance!" Mariah said and laughed.
"Oh my God I can't believe I missed that!" Tre said laughing hysterically. I laughed also until I heard a familiar voice behind me. I couldn't quite tell who it was though but it seemed so familiar. Then it hit me. That voice I always feared of hearing. I didn't look back to catch ether his or Tre's attention. I wasn't sure how far Tre would go to protect me. I knew Jason very well to know that I would be worried for Tre's safety. But I was still curious if Jason knew he was beside me. Just then I noticed the bartender coming near, I adverted my eyes to him by accident. I had forgotten my plan to keep a low profile. Jason looked at the bartender and noticed me.
"Well isn't it the little whore," he said as he smirked. I cursed in my head. Tre looked over at me noticing that I haven't said anything in the last minute.
"Steph?" he said. I had my elbow resting on the counter and my hand rested on my forehead.
"Oh what? Now you're not going to talk to me?" Jason said, which was tempting me to yell at him.
"Shut the fuck up!" Tre yelled. Tre recognized him right away.
"Tre..." I whispered.
"Who the fuck are you to tell me to shut up! I can talk to this bitch all I want!" Jason yelled as he stood up, trying to make himself look bigger. Tre stood up and tackled him to the floor.
"Don't you dare call her a bitch you dickwad!" Tre yelled and he punched his face countless times.
"Is anybody there?" Mariah asked. I shook my head.
