It's Something Unpredictable, It's the Time Of My Life, chapter 35
We slowly parted and made eye contact. A grin formed on Tre's face; which caused me to grin too. I was truly happy with him. Tre pulled me into an unexpected hug. I smiled as I looked over his shoulder. But then something caught my eye. A tall guy wearing all black and that resembled Jason. My eyes went wide. I scanned the area again but there was no one there and slowly relaxed onto Tre.
"I'm just seeing things... " I mumbled under my breath.
"Steph... I was thinking, um... " Tre started as we parted. "You know how you said you wanted to bring Billie and Mariah together right? Well I was thinking that we go on a double date, you, me, Billie and Mariah. What do you think?" I swallowed down a big lump in my throat at the sound of Billie's name, the guilt was returning. But then I thought, this was going to be the perfect idea for Mariah and Billie.
"It's perfect!" I yelled. "Hm where are we going though?" I asked curiously.
"Let me worry about that, okay?" He said and kissed my noise; which caused me to giggle.
"Hm it'd better not be McDonalds... " I said with a smirk. Tre laughed.
"I'm not that cheap, trust me it will be a nice place I swear," he said. I nodded.
"Okay... I better get going before the people I live with start to wonder," I whispered.
"Same here... " Tre agreed. We both got up from our seat on the wooden bench. "I'll walk you to your car first though." I laughed as we walked onto the dry grass. When we got to my car I stopped and faced Tre.
"So are you coming to pick us up?" I asked.
"Of coarse unless you want to pick me up then I'm totally fine with that," Tre said with a smirk. I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Just go over Mariah's house we'll pick you up there but don't tell her about the dinner, okay?" I nodded. "Bye babe," Tre said and kissed my lips.
"Bye hun," I said and entered my car. I waved at him and drove off. Everything was back to normal except the guilt that was still with in me. I didn't know if it was the right thing if I told Tre about the kiss or not. But I knew for sure that I wouldn't be telling him today, I didn't want to ruin the night.
"Hm I might as well go over Mariah's now," I said to myself as I pulled out my cell phone. I watched the road and pressed the numbers at the same time making sure that I did not crash at all. I succeeded and pressed the phone against my ear. A few rings and finally someone picked up.
"Ugh... Hello?" Mariah answered.
"Get up you lazy ass!"
"Ugh, no... "
"Get up, I'm coming over."
"Nope it's okay I rather stay in bed."
"Fine I'll just wake you up when I get there."
I hung up the phone right after and drove my car toward the highway. As I was driving my phone starting ringing. I searched my hand on the driver seat beside me that I threw the phone on.
"Uh hello?" I answered quickly as I changed lanes with my car.
"Hey where'd you run off to?" I heard Jessica.
"Um I just really needed to talk to Tre."
"... Sure... You did something else with him didn't you?"
"What? No I didn't."
"You guys did the wild thing!"
"No I didn't!"
"Yes you did."
"No."
"Yes."
"I'm hanging up on you."
I hung up the phone and laughing right after the phone rang once again.
"Don't you hang up on me!"
"Just watch me."
I hung up the phone again and the phone rang once again.
"Fine I don't want to talk to you anyways." Jessica said then hung up. I laughed and decided to play her little game. I dialed her number on speed dial.
"Fine then don't talk to me," I said and hung up. The phone rang again.
"Fine I wont." I hung up the phone after she did and decided not to call her back to see what she would do. After five more minutes my phone rang again.
"Hello?"
"Why didn't you call back?"
"Because I didn't feel like it."
"Alright then, I see how it is!"
"Okay."
"Fine."
"Alright then."
"Okay."
"Are you gonna hang up now?"
"Uh... Um... Hm... Yeah, wait no... Um yeah bye."
Before I could say bye she hung up the phone. I sighed and hung up also. After driving for a bit I finally reached Mariah's apartment. I parked my car and ran to the entrance. I walked into the elevator. Whistling my way up to the floor that Mariah lived on. As the doors slid open I ran to the door with number 567. When I found it I knocked on the door repeatedly but no one answered. I turned the doorknob and the door opened.
"Um okay... " I whispered to myself. I entered into the living room. "Mariah?" I whispered but no answer. "Hm she must be still sleeping... " I walked toward the room she went to go change in the last time I was here. I pushed open the door slightly and looked through and there she lay, sleeping. I ran in and started jumping on the bed.
"WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!" I screamed.
"AHH! STEPH GET OFF OF MY BED!" Mariah yelled back and pushed me off as I landed. I fell butt first on the carpet-covered floor.
"Owie... " I whined.
"What the hell are you doing here anyways?" Mariah asked as she yawned.
"What I can't come and see my friend?" I asked and pouted.
"Not without a reason," Mariah said with a smirk.
"Because I love you!" I said with a big smile. "And also I have a surprise for you!"
"Really?!?! What?!?!"
"The surprise that I have is... Well I can't tell you." I got up on my feet and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Tell me please!"
"No I don't want to, you're just going to have to find out later," I said and crossed my arms.
"Hm... Fine then."
"Well good, now get up!" I yelled and pushed Mariah off the bed.
"Ow... " She whispered, as she lay flat on the floor.
"I'm just seeing things... " I mumbled under my breath.
