It's Not As Easy As It Looks, chapter 20

20th March, in 1981 my mother would have just gone to labour with me, and now 25 years later, I was celebrating my 25th birthday with all my friends from England, as well as my friends here in California. The sun gently rose across Claremont, making me lazily open my eyes and yawn, I slipped under my duvet even more, before I heard my door creak open. "Wake up," Someone whispered in my ear, I waved my hand about, kinda saying 'leave me alone'. "Wake the fuck up Jen!"
"Oh, so I don't get a lie in on my birthday!?" I screamed, opening my eyes to see Tré raising his eyebrow at me.
"It's 11am, I gave you a lie in already, now hurry, your friends just got here."
"Sweet!" I shouted, going to my wardrobe, picking out clothes and proceeding to my bathroom. Once I was done, I ran down stairs, seeing no one there, I thought Tré was lieing to me.
"Damn idiot knows how to get me out of bed," I mumbled quietly, before walking into my living room and hearing a massive roar of 'SURPRISE'. I jumped, and started laughing. Aggie, Jaz, Raych, Katie, Kim, Jess, Joe, Londi, Emmy, Jimmy, hell even Emily was there to greet me. I started hugging them all, I saw some when I went to England, but I still missed them like hell. Of course Mike, Brittany, Tré, Stevie, Tiff and Billie Joe was there, even after our little rumble the night before. The party was fine, there was no alcohol till later as I didn't want everyone too drunk. I started talking to everyone before everyone from my home town started saying how much they missed me, I sighed, knowing that I missed them, yet I just didn't want to go back. It wasn't my home anymore..California was.
"So erm, where's Lily?" I asked Raych.
"She's at her grandmother's for the day, since we go back soon."
"Aw, it's nice of you being here."
"Yeh, I like Cannock better though."
"If you was in my shoes, you would love it here, the place is amazing."
"Don't you get scared? I mean, guns are legal here," I shrugged, I knew the danger, but I was being careful.
"I do get scared, but I hear this place is very nice."
"Yeh, how long you been living here now..since December?"
"Yeh, I got here in early December."
"It's quiet without you."
"It was quiet any way, I guess we sort of..grew up, you know? We're not moody teenagers anymore, hell I'm 25 now, I should be in a good job, with a nice family like you, but I'm wasting it."
"Get out there then, stop lousing about with Green Day, they're all taken, go out, get a boyfriend, get married and have kids," I sighed, Raych was right.
"Hey guys," Aggie smiled, and joined our discussion. "What we talking about then?"
"Nothing." I sighed, "Just feeling broody."
"Well, you got 15 year left to have kids, so don't worry..I'm not."
"I guess I shouldn't worry, it seems as though time is moving way too fast, and soon it'll be my 50th birthday, and I won't have any family."
"Don't think like that," Aggie sighed, as Raych walked over to talk to Londi.
"I know I shouldn't, but I am," I shrugged, Aggie nodded, and started walking over to where everyone was congrigating.
"Come and talk to your friends," She laughed, I smiled and walked over aswell.
"So..what's been going on without me?"
"Well, Kim and Londi are engaged."
"To each other?!"
"No dumbass," Joe sighed, as everyone laughed, "To their boyfriends."
"Oh."
"Yeh, I'm marrying this guy called Tom, and Londi's marrying a man named Alex."
"Congrats you two," I smiled and pulled them into a hug.
"Jaz is pregnant aswell," Raych said, smirking at Jaz.
"I know."
"You do?"
"Yeh."
"Oh." Raych sighed, sounding disapointed.
"Seth got arrested," Emily said out of the blue.
"You was still with him?!"
"Yeh, and he got arrested for killing someone.."
"OH MY GOD! Did he do it?!"
"Yeh, they proved it and everything," Emily cried, holding her hands to her face, shaking. Katie sighed and put an arm around her to calm her.
"And what about you Jen? What's happened over here?" Emmy asked, I shook my head laughing.
"Alot, like getting a job, meeting Green Day, meeting Morgan, getting fired, getting a house, going to the Grammies, going to England, going to hospital, having mixed feelings for someone.."
"Well, that's..interesting, but we missed you," Jimmy sulked, her dreads drooping over her face.
"Missed you lot too, all the fun we had..the wreckless fun..I had a blast with you guys.."

"Aggie, if it wasn't safe, it wouldn't be here," Mumbled Katie as we stepped over some barbed wire.
"But come on guys, it says you're not allowed to go on train tracks!" I said, pointing to the danger sign.
"Then we will run over!" Katie shouted and started running.
"Aren't you even going to look both ways?"
"For God's sake Jenni, it's 4am, there are no trains he-"
"Get away from the tracks Katie!" I yelled, hearing the tracks shake and a noise steadily getting louder towards us.
"Come on!"
"No, I wanna go over there!"
"Then wait till the train has gone past!"
"There is no-" Katie heard the train horn and screamed, running over the tracks, and just making it in time to safety.
"Your an idiot," I mumbled, slapping Katie over the back of her head. "Seriously, you could of got yourself killed!"
"But the action..it was fun!" Katie laughing, I shook my head, but still managed a smile.
"Can we go now?"
"Yeh yeh, sure," I rolled my eyes, as me and Aggie followed Katie across the tracks and into the forest, once we were happy with out surroundings, we took off our back packs and took out our camping stuff.
"We're mad," Aggie smirked, taking out her sleeping back and slipping in it. The night was warm surprisingly, as we sat around in the dark, talking and telling each other everything. We took the risk to get there, but it was worth it in the end.

"Yeh, you put the 'fun' in dysfunctional," I laughed, as I started to miss hanging around with my friends even more.

"Fuck! Ow..my head," Jimmy whined, but in a whisper.
"Jamilla..shut the hell up," Jess said sternly, she had a way of sounding like our parents, she used our full names, or in Jimmy's case, her real name.
"Jess, you can't shout because she's shouting! That's a condradiction!" Joe groaned, rubbing her head and stumbling over some box's on the floor.
"Yeh well, I shouldn't be here."
"Blah blah blah."
"Joe..Jess..your both a bunch of immature twats, now be quiet before we get caught! I mean, do you wanna go to jail?!" This time I
was sounding like the parent.
"Who's idea was it to sneak this shop anyways?" Jimmy asked, standing with her hands on her knee's, as she panted.
"Joe's," Me and Jess said in unison.
My whole body stiffened, as my ears perked up, "You hear that?"
"What?"
"Someone's here! Damn! We're gonna get caught!" I whimpered, as someone slapped me around the back of the head, I turned and through the darkness I saw a pair of greyish blue eyes glaring back at me. I grinded my teeth, knowing I couldn't yell if an unknown person was in the shop.
"You always were a pessimist," Joe mumbled, as I rolled my eyes. We crouched behind a display of pineapples, as I peeked over the edge, gasping as I saw a security badge..it was a guard. I ducked down, wiping my face with my hand.
"We have a problem," I whispered, as the gang's ears perked up.
"H-How you mean?" A twitchy Jess replied, as I moved in closer, so my voice wouldn't have to be raised so hard.
"There's a guard in here."
"Oh no!" Jimmy shouted, as I clamped my own hand over her mouth, frowning I turned and looked over the shelf, I saw the guard quirk an eyebrow and walk over to us.

Busted.

"Maybe we was too wreckless," Jimmy laughed, as everyone nodded and giggled.

***

At 4pm Mike and Brittany had an announcement to make. "Alright everyone, me and Brittany..we will be welcoming a new member to our family in 9 months," Everyone gasped and then cheered. So that's why Mike's been a bit distant then.
"Congratulations Mike," I smiled and hugged him, he nodded as I hugged Brittany next to him. "I don't think I'm prepared for this,"
"Don't worry, you will be, you'll be the perfect mom," I winked and walked off into my kitchen. Tré had set up a buffet on my kitchen island early in the morning, I took the lids off the food and got out the paper plates.
"Who wants dinner?" I called out, as everyone started piling in my kitchen, everyone took their food, including me, I decided I'd eat it outside where it was peaceful, I sat down on my wooden table and started eating it. "You can't be alone on your birthday."
"You well it's too hectic in there," I replied, as Tré sat down next to me. "It's great isn't it? That Mike's having another kid, I hope I settle down one day."
"You will Jen, and your going to be the best mother aswell," I looked to Tré and smiled, I pulled him into a hug whispering a thank you in his ear, he nodded, we pulled out of the hug and started to eat our dinners.
"And thank you for all of this, my friends are here, the dinner, the decorations..I thought that it didn't matter, but I guess the litt;e things help."
"Still feeling low about Tiff and Billie?"
"Of course, but I will get over it soon."
"Just make sure you do, you can't go around being sad over spilt milk."
"It's a bit bigger then that," I sighed, looking down to my plate and shifting it away, "Alot bigger."
"No, not really, just some guy you liked loves another girl, well, he hasn't said 'I love you' yet."
"I'm not getting my hopes up Tré..if this is where your heading."
"No, no it's not," He replied, waving his hands in the air. "I'm just saying, focuse on the other things in life, there's plenty more guys, some might be even nicer then Billie."
"At the moment, everyone seems to be, I guess Tiff dragged him here."
"No..he dragged himself here," I raised an eyebrow, slightly confused.
"What, wait..he did?"
"Yeh, guess he felt bad about yesterday."
"He didn't do anything though, I'm the one that was too nosy," Tré sighed, even he didn't know the reason why Billie felt as if he were too blame.
"Billie is a complicated to person."
"I know, I know, and an annoying one at that, he hasn't spoken to me yet."
"Not even to say happy birthday?"
"Nope."
"Jackass."
"And I still like him."
"How does he do it?"
"I dunno, ask him yourself."
"I will later," I narrowed my eyebrow at him, slightly worried at his tone of voice. After an hour outside with Tré talking, we both went back inside to see things a bit more calmer then they were.
"Should we open the booze?" I asked, as Tré nodded, we got all the beer we had, and stacked it on a counter. "Okay..alcohol is served," Everyone seemed to rush to it, I laughed and took a can myself.
"Hey," I turned around to see Billie there, I looked behind him.
"No Tiff?" Billie rolled his eyes and pointed to outside, we walked out and sat on the table. "What you want?"
"Yesterday, you said you had something to say."
"Yeah..but I-I can't say it, I'm sorry Billie, you'll never get it out of me," I sighed, walking back inside. Now I seemed like a bitch.
"Jen!" I turned around to see Jaz running upto me.
"Yeh?"
"Well..I haven't really talked to you."
"Surprisingly, hardly anyone has, Raych and Aggie have been hovering my ass all day."
"Yeh, and who's that girl with the black hair and highlights?"
"Morgans here?!"
"Er..yeah..who's Morgan?"
"My friend, jeez, why hasn't she saw me?"
"Maybe she's coming later? I saw her drop off a box then walk back out."
"Why didn't no one tell me?" I sulked, and drooped my head. "I miss her."
"Were you two close?"
"Yeh."
"Maybe she has a surprise for you.."
"What you mean?" I eyed Jaz, as she laughed nervously and backed away slowly. "Freak," I mumbled, I walked into my living room, wanting to talk to someone, before my friend Joe approached me.
"Hey Jen."
"Heya!"
"So how's your day been?"
"It's going quite fast, actually."
"That's cool, having a good time though?"
"Yeh, getting to see everyone..it's it great."
"But?" I sighed, and looked to Joe as she frowned.
"I'm starting to miss hanging around with you guys."
"Aw, well we miss you alot, why did you leave you fucking dumbass?" She laughed and pulled me into a hug. I pulled out and felt my eyes well up with tears. I sniffled but laughed. "God now I'm crying."
"Don't, you'll make me," She smirked, I nodded and giggled.
"I'm gonna go to the toilet to sort myself out, don't damage anything whilst I'm gone," Joe nodded and went to talk to the group, I walked into my bathroom and looked at the mess infront of me. I got some tissue and wiped under my eyes where my mascara had bled, I re fixed my make up and walked back out, to talk, laugh..and think about some great memories I held with these people.

***

11pm, the atmosphere was bubbly, people were laughing, joking, but of course nearly everyone was drunk, through the day I had recieved my presents, one being Morgan in my massive cake..which I didn't see coming, my friends all had to fly home, so they were all piling out the door and saying there last good byes to me.
"Don't forget about us," Aggie whispered in my ear as she hugged me tightly.
"Don't worry, I never will, now go..before I start crying again," I laughed, she nodded and waved, before walking out the door, once everyone was gone, I sighed and closed me door, I walked into my living room and frowned. "Not going home then?"
"Nope," Replied a tired Mike, who gently closed his eyes and fell asleep on my couch.
"Okay then.." I said slowly, before walking into the kitchen to see Tré and Billie talking rather loudly.
"Oh, and if it isn't Miss Whore."
"I beg your pardon?" I said, replying to Tré's remark.
"You heard, your just a stupid whore," He got nearer to me, swaying, I could smell the contents of all the alcohol he had consumed within the day in his breath, it was like I could almost feel it surging through his veins, making his brain go out of the loop as he said things he wouldn't say when he was sober, Billie walked over and calmy pulled Tré away from me, a concerned look on his face.
"Oh and if it isn't your prince Charming here to save the day," He mumbled, staggering backwards, grasping onto my kitchen island to keep himself up.
"Why don't you two just fuck each other, and live happily ever after," Tré once again came towards me, but he stormed towards me, giving me no time to react as he pushed me against my wall, the corner of the door catching my left arm and shoulder, making me scream out in pain, Billie shoved her out of the way.
"Saving your girlfriend?! I thought you had one!" Tré screamed, pushing Billie against my kitchen table. Alcohol had turned him into this monster, but he was the one that made it happen, he was the one that drank the beer, he knew what could happen, he knew he could become this monster, and he didn't even try to stop himself.
I closed my eyes, I hated people fighting, especially over me.
"Leave her the fuck alone Tré!" Billie shouted, shoving the younger man backwards.
"Why does she have to like you?! Why not me?!"
"What?" The much sober man replied, rather confused.
"Oh shit," I mumbled as I backed out of the room, and ran to my bedroom.
"Jenni likes you dumbass, why couldn't you see that? You broke her heart when you went out with Tiff and she still likes you! I mean what have you got that I haven't?!" Billie didn't even bother replying as he walked off to find me.
I sat on my bed, holding a frame photo of me, Tré, Mike and Billie smiling..how could one small word do so much? How could one small drink, hurt so much?
"Ah, there you are," Billie stated, sitting down next to me on my bed.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Huh?" I said, pretending to not know what he meant.
"What Tré said, you wouldn't have suddenly left the room if it wasn't true."
"Well, I hate fighting, and Tré's drunk, ya know?"
"No, I don't, please tell me the truth."
"I-I'm scared of the truth."
"What are you talking about?" Billie stressed as I looked down, feeling a tear slide down my cheek. After a moment of silence I sighed straightening myself up and looking to Billie narrowing my eyes. No more lieing.
"Oh for Gods sake Billie, we both know we have feelings for each other!"
"Yeh but-"
"-Tiff..yeh I know."
"If you had feelings towards me why didn't you say anything?"
"I was going to."
"Oh," A moment of silence past, I sniffled and looked up to Billie. "Fuck it," I mumbled and lent in, I pressed my right hand upon his cheek and kissed him lightly, when I pulled away I regretted it. What was I thinking? But Billie leaned back in, deepening the kiss and I felt myself dissolving all my regrets as I gave in.
"We..we shouldn't," I whispered against his lips.
"I know," He laughed and kissed me again.
"No..this can't be happening," We both looked up to see a teary eyed Tiff run off.
"Crap," I said, standing up and rushing to find her, me and Billie both ran down my stairs, just to see her just running out my door. "Double crap."
"Heysh it's bitch face Jensh," Said an even more drunken Tré then before.
"Hey Tré, maybe you should stop drinking now," I said calmy so I didn't aggravate him, and make him violent like before. I took the drink out of his hand, before Tré agressivly snapped it back, and proceeded to pour it over Billie.
"Happy now?" He laughed, loosing his balance again. "You won the bet, you happy? You got the girl, and broke another girl's heart..what's that? 3 in a year? I'm impressed."
"Get out," Billie growled, as he grabbed onto Tré's collar and threw him out of my front door. He walked back in to see my confused face, I looked to him, not knowing what to say.
"B-Bet?"
"Nevermind, he's dilarious."
"No tell me Billie," Billie bit his lip, he didn't want to lie, but the truth was going to hurt more. "Please," I cried, as Billie looked down onto me, he nodded, but pointed to upstairs. We slowly walked up, and we sat on my bed again, memories of just a few minutes ago, finally rushing to my brain, before a wave of dread plagiarized my head with confusion.
"Please don't say what I think he means," I pleaded, as Billie looked into my hazel eyes, he sighed deeply, before taking my hand. I already knew this was bad, and he hadn't even told me anything.
"When we first met you..me and Tré had mini crushes on you, so one night, when we got pissed, we bet the person who got you first would win $100," My mouth slowly dropped open, before I swung my hand and slapped Billie across the face, I stormed out of my bedroom, leaving Billie sitting on my bed with his hand to his red cheek.
I ran down stairs, and flung myself onto my couch, I noticed everyone had gone, my presents were left, cards were scattered everywhere and the place was a mess, cans, paper plates, streamers..everything like that was lieing on the floor, much to my dismay.
I heard a scramble of feet down my stairs, I didn't even look towards the door. I felt sick. Sick because my best friend's had played with my mind all along, and hadn't even told me till my birthday, a day I was supposed to feel good on. My door opened and closed, the sound just sounding like little thumps, as my mind concentrated on keeping in one piece, my heart doing the same.

***

My eyes fluttered open, I looked up to see the ceiling, and down to see my living room carpet, confused, I got up, I lost balance and fell onto my couch. I groaned, holding my head like it was going to roll off, I noticed an empty bottle of whisky on the floor where I had been lying and cursed to myself. I had used alcohol to get rid of my problems, yet I woke up..and still had to face them.
Face the fact that since December, all my friendships had been fake. No one was my friend here, except Morgan, and Mike. But since I was becoming paranoid, I was starting to think they didn't like me. I was worried and scared, over one tiny thing.
The day had gone from great to horrible in the space of one word, 'bet.'
I had to get away..I was running from my problems, again, did this mean I was a cowered?
I somehow managed to get upstairs to pack my suitcases, before rushing to the toilet to throw up. I grabbed a pet carrying case, layed some newspaper down inside it, and rushed Haushinka in there, I quickly left, not leaving a note or anything. I wasn't a fan of long goodbye's. But where to go? My roads were blocked off, I couldn't drive anywhere, I wasn't going to move countries again, I took my mobile out and called a cab, when it finally got there, I finally packed into the cab with my suitcases and Haushinka in tow.

Your heart is not open so I must go
The spell has been broken, I loved you so
Freedom comes when you learn to let go
Creation comes when you learn to say no

You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress you had to burn
Pain is a warning that somethings wrong
I pray to God that it wont be long
Do you wanna go higher?

Theres nothing left to try
Theres no place left to hide
Theres no greater power
Than the power of good-bye

Your heart is not open so I must go
The spell has been broken, I loved you so
You were my lesson I had to learn
I was your fortress

Theres nothing left to lose
Theres no more heart to bruise
Theres no greater power
Than the power of good-bye

Learn to say good-bye
I yearn to say good-bye

As my phone started to ring, I sighed and answered it, "Hello?"
"Hey Jen!"
"Oh hey Mike," I sighed, as I watched the cab near upto Billie's road, I bit my lip to stop me saying anything, or doing something I would regret.
"Hey, so whatcha doing?"
"Erm..alot."
"Oh really? Care to share?"
"I-I'm..leaving town," I winced my eyes, not being a fan of being shouted at.
"What?! Do the others know?"
"Nope."
"So you were just gonna fucking leave..without telling us?!"
"Jeez Mike, shut the fuck up, I found out about the bet."
"Oh..well I wasn't in that.."
"I know."
"So you know I'm okay..I wasn't lieing to you."
"Yeh, but you never hit on me, all the signs I got from Billie..Tré..they were all fake."
"For $100?! Dude, the guys are millionaires, that wouldn't matter anymore, they were drunk at the time, I know you don't have feelings for Tré but he does for you..there real..whether it's just a friendship thing or not, and Billie..well girl, he loves you, he would hate to see you hurt, he'd go to the end of the world to save you, and to be with you, he never told you because he was scared he'd ruin the friendship he had with you, and if he was ever an asshole to you, he would be scared he'd hurt you," My breath hitched, was this the truth I was looking for?
"I-I never knew..why did he go out with Tiff?"
"A friend of his said he shouldn't wait years for you, and to either ask you out, or get a life and find someone new, he planted all the obvious signs Jen..and you totally missed them."
"I never missed them Mike, I ignored them, simply because I didn't want to jump to conclusions and make a fool of myself."
"Please don't run away, you just started a life over here..and you have a good guy going for you."
"Thanks Mike," I put the phone down, and told the cab driver to drive back down the street, I smirked like a retard all the way down, when we finally reached Billie Joe's house, I told the cab driver to wait and ran upto Billie's front door, I knocked like a maniac, and when he opened the door I jumped into his arms.
"I'm so sorry Billie."
"W-What's going on?" He asked, rather confused as I stepped back, I sighed and looked into his eyes.
"I was leaving, I thought living here was just a lie, someone told me that I just had to read between the lines to figure that nothing here is a lie, I never realised what I had in store for me, I'm sorry for screaming at you, but you have to understand how upset I was," Billie nodded, a smirk appearing on his face, he sighed and looked to his feet.
"Are you still with Tiff?" I asked him, frowning as I knew that was the wrong question to ask, he shrugged and scruffed his shoes on the floor.
"I dunno, I haven't saw her yet, I've left loads of messages..I didn't think it would work out though, but I hope we can remain just friends," I nodded and hugged Billie.
"Whatever you chose will be the best decision."
"Really?"
"Yeh," Billie bit his lip, and locked eyes with me, he signalled for me to come in the house, but I put my hand up in the air.
"I can't, the cab driver will be pissy, plus Haushinka is in the cab,"
"Oh, can we drive to your house then? I mean I can help un pack..if that's what you want.."
"Yah, it is..thanks."
"No problem," Billie got his coat, and we walked out, he locked his front door, we walked down to the cab and both jumped in.
"Back to my house," I laughed, the cab driver nodded and we drove off.
"Why?"
"I was confused..and hungover, it seemed like the best thing, but obviously it wasn't."
"No, it really wasn't, 'cause then I'd feel real shitty and become an emo," He laughed and reached over to hug me.
"Aw, emo Billie," I laughed, and pulled out of the hug, once we had gotton to my house, Billie grabbed my suitcases, and I grabbed Haushinka who was moaning..obviously confused. I payed the cab driver, and he drove off, I walked upto my door and opened it, I held it open for Billie, once he was in I closed the door and let Haushinka free again, Billie dragged my suitcases upstairs and I followed him.
Once we was up in my room, we started unpacking in silence, I sighed as the silence started to bother me, I bit my lip and moved closer to Billie. He swayed his hips to purposly knock me aside, I laughed and did the same, for awhile we mucked about, we didn't focuse on unpacking, but having fun, we stopped as another silence filled the air, I looked to Billie and I locked eyes with his green eyes, suddenly feeling flushed..the way I felt when I saw my crush walking past me, I noticed him leaning in closer..and this time I wasn't caught off guard, it was a pure romantic moment as I also moved inwards to meet his lips, with my eyes closed we locked lips, remaining that way for a good 5 minutes, as Billie's hands explored my body, his fingers tips brushing my hips as he started kissing down my neck and nibbling at the skin.
I bit my lip and smirked, "If you think your gonna get me that easy, you've got another thing coming," Billie laughed, he threw the suitcases off the bed, and dragged me down with him on top of it, I raised my eyebrow and questioned his sudden movements. But everything had to stop when the door bell rung out loudly, echoing throughout the house.
Billie Joe mumbled, he gently moved off the bed and looked out the window and muttered to himself, "Fucking great timing," He sighed once again as he watched as a person eagerly waiting for me to open me door. Billie turned to face me, biting his lip, I shook my head and smirked, walking slowly down my stairs and opening my front door, I recognised the person from about a month ago..it was a 'Jehovah's Witness', I frowned, murmuring a, "I'm a Satanist, fuck off and leave me alone," I closed the door and sighed, as Billie came down the stairs, raising his eyebrow.
"Don't ask," I laughed, he smirked and nodded, we both sighed at the same time and sat on my couch in silence.
"Wanna go over to my house?"
"What about my un packing?"
"That's boring and you can do it at anytime."
"True," I agreed and got my coat, we left my house after I locked it and realised we had no transport to his house. So after a long walk we finally got to his house. After some movies and a couple of comfortable silences, a knock on Billie's door occured. Seems everyone wants to talk to either me or Billie today. I looked out of his front window to see his two sons hyperactivally run around his front yard. Billie opened his front door to see Adrienne holding the boys still and her dreadlocks falling into her eyes.
"Hey Bill!" She smiled unusually, pushing the kids towards him and running off to her car. Weird woman..
"DADDY!!" Jakob screamed, and looked to me, he laughed and ran towards me, my eyes widened as I found myself tackled to the floor by a 7 year old.
"Hey little dude," I managed to say as I pushed him off me and laughed, Joey wallked upto me, raising his eyebrow at Jakob, who walked off to talk to his dad who had gone to the kitchen.
"He's had too much sugar..it will fade in like an hour," I nodded and smiled, as Joey also went off to see his dad for the first time in awhile. It must have been hard on them both, I don't know what it's like to have parent's divorce, but the way mine acted felt like they were, and most of my friend's parents were divorced, and they had told me alot about how they felt.
Later on at night, after goofing around almost like a family, the boys had gone to bed..leaving me and Billie alone. I had decided to sleep in Billie's guest room and go home in the morning, I had fed Haushinka before I left so I didn't have to worry about her much.
I had set up to watch Jeepers Creepers 2 in the guest room with Billie so we snuggled up in bed together and started watching it.
"This is better then going out and getting drunk Billie," I laughed, Billie nodded and put his arm around my waist, which made my cheeks blush. Even though what we did today, the guy still knowed how to make me like a shy teenage girl. He kissed my cheek, I bit my lip and turned to face him, closing the gap between us and kissing him. Leaving the rest of the night dedicated to each other and not bothering about the movie..
