It's Not As Easy As It Looks, chapter 21
"I'm going to shoot that dog," I groaned from underneath the bed sheets, I heard the next door neighbor's dog bark once again and I sighed, I walked unto the window and closed it.
Billie laughed, shaking his head, "Don't ever get a dog, you'd last 3 days with it."
"Very funny Billie."
"I know, I know," I sighed, lying down on the bed again with my head on Billie's bare chest.
"Daaaad!" groaned Jakob from his room opposite Billie's.
Billie shook his head and sighed deeply, "COMING!" he yelled at the top of his lungs, causing me to jump with shock. I giggled when I heard a quarrel coming from across the two rooms. I chewed my lip as Billie came through the door muttering to himself to stop myself from laughing.
"What's wrong then?"
"Jakob left his suitcase."
"What?!" I laughed, as Billie frowned.
"It's not funny!"
"Yah, I'm not laughing," I replied, straightening my face. Billie smirked as he looked into his closet and pulled out a new top and trousers, he walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower, since I didn't have any of my other clothes I threw the ones I had one yesterday, which where scattered around the room. I headed down the stairs and into Billie's kitchen, which was soon filled with 3 grumpy males; I rolled my eyes at their morning attitudes.
"Wrong side of the bed?" I asked, smirking.
"Again," joked Joey as he lifted his body onto a stool at the kitchen island.
"PANCAKES!" Jakob shouted, jumping around the room, I raised my eyebrow at him and laughed.
"They inherited a lot from their father," I mumbled under my breath.
"Excuse me?"
"I-er...nothing," I smiled innocently, but burst out into a fit of laughter, my moment of laughter ended quickly as a knock on the door echoed throughout Billie's home. Billie mumbled quietly before shifting his body off the chair and walking towards his front door.
"Oh, hey," I heard Billie say in a quiet voice.
"H-Hey," a woman's voice answered, it'swasn't Adie, so who was it?
"Can we t-talk?" she asked nervously, Billie lead her into the kitchen as I gulped. I was the last person Tiff wanted to see, I sighed before walking up slowly to her, whispering, "I'm sorry," before grabbing my coat and walking out Billie's door, leaving them to figure out all their problems that they had, and that we had caused.
***
"Err, 5?" I sighed as Tré sniggered.
"No! 3."
"Well how am I supposed to know?! You blindfolded me you idiot."
"Sorry Miss Mardy."
"Ugh, sorry," I sighed, rubbing my forehead and looking upwards. "Just worried that's all, I left Billie with Tiff and my mind is playing different scenarios towards me."
"I see...eh, you really shouldn't be worried and make a scene out of it."
"I'm not!"
"But you might."
"No I won't..."
"But-"
"Shut it Tré God damn it!! You're like a stupid 7 year old!"
"I never grew up inside..." Tré sighed, also smirking.
"Yah, I can tell," I muttered quietly to myself, I rubbed my head to try stopping the already forming headache from getting any worse.
"I'm gonna go and take a walk outside."
"It's raining."
"So?" I replied, grabbing my coat, zipping it up and pulling the hood over my head.
"Don't worry Tré, it's not like I'm gonna melt," I stepped outside and started screaming, Tré came rushing out as I turned around to him, yelling "I'm melting!"
Tré playfully hit me as I started to laugh and walk down the street.
After a 10 minute walk I bumped into a familiar face, smiling I turned to Adam and waved, he waved back and pulled me into a hug.
"Hey, how's life going for ya?" he asked me curiously, I shrugged as I was unsure of what had happened since my birthday. Which may I say, was only a day ago.
"I have no clue Ad, I think me and Billie are together, but I'm not sure, he's still going out with Tiff so it's very complicated."
"Woah.."
"Yah, pretty weird, I can't believe how one thing led to another, I'm so confused. Does Billie love me or Tiff?"
"Ask him."
"I couldn't, no.."
"Yah, bottle up yer courage mate!" he said in a perfect English accent, I raised my eyebrow at him and questioned him, "Is there something your not telling me?"
"No, apart from the fact I've only been living in America for 7 years."
"Woah, England then?"
"Yeh, sucks there ay? We both moved from there so it has to be bad," He laughed, I nodded my head and then shuddered from the cold wind that swept up the street.
"Where you heading?"
"I dunno, I'll end up going back to my home."
"Sweet."
"You?"
"Oh, err, just taking a walk."
"Riiight.."
"So uhm, see you around?"
"Okay," I smiled sweetly, as me and Adam departed from each other's company.

After quite along walk I finally made it back home, where I took off my coat and turned on the gas fire. I sat by it as Haushinka gently grazed my thigh.
"Hey lil' girl," I smiled as I lifted her off the floor and into my lap.
"You hungry?" I asked, even though I knew I would not receive a reply from my furry friend. I filled up her food bowl and water bowl and let her eat as I yawned and lounged on the couch. I turned on the TV to Nickelodeon and watched Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, when the break came on, a commercial came on about the Kid's Choice Awards 2006, when they mentioned Green Day I smirked, the guys were really reeling in the awards. My phone rang out loudly, I picked it up too tired to say hello first.
"Hey..err Jen?"
"Yo Emmster."
"What's the worse a Trojan Horse can do?"
"The historical or virus kind?"
"Virus."
"Not much, unless you don't have an anti virus software."
"That's the problem.."
"Get one quickly!!"
"From?"
"The internet you dumb crap!"
"Which one?!"
"Any! Try AVG Free Edition."
"What happens if I tell you my internet just suddenly went off, along with my power?"
"I'd say, oh gee, hope it's nothing to do with the virus!"
"Is it?"
"No, just a power surge..probably."
"Dude! Stop it you're making me so paranoid right now!"
"Relax, I don't think a virus can harm your computer if it's not on."
"Sure?"
"No."
"Oh..thanks for the help," she sighed sarcastically, I laughed down the phone, not really realizing I was making her really paranoid.
"Why'd you call me? I mean your wasting more money then calling someone in England."
I'm not in England."
"Er..huh?"
"I'm in New York looking for a house to buy."
"Lucky bitch!"
"Move in with meeee."
"Nah, can't leave this place."
"Sure you can, just let go, I mean you must have loads of worries in Oakland."
"More then you know Emmy, more then you know."
"Care to share?"
"Nope, not even with myself."
"Okay..who else can you tell?"
"No one," I sighed, looking down to my nails, and without realizing it, I started to bite them nevervousness.
"Stop that!" she yelled as if she could see me.
"What?"
"Biting your nails."
"Oh, sorry, can't kick habits."
"You kicked Billie," I moaned, rubbing my head and almost whimpering.
"I'm sorry Jenni, I can't help it."
"Well try to kick the habit then," I mumbled putting the phone down on her, I yawned and closed my eyes, I didn't get much sleep the night before..and you can guess why, I slowly drifted into a slumber..
I looked around the marshy lands, wondering where I was, I looked up and gasped as a piece of scrap iron crashed down on the land. I bit my lip and crawled next to it as it morphed into Billie, I gasped once again as I touched Billie, he flinched as I narrowed my eyes, I stood up and pointed at Billie.
"You're- You're one of them!! You're a robot! YOU KILLED EVERYONE!" Billie raised his eyebrow at me as he also got up, he put his hands on my shoulders and smiled.
"It's okay, the world was doomed anyways," he gave an evil smirk as he headed butted me on my forehead, I blacked out only to wake up again in a different location. my primary school.
"Er..HELLO?" I bellowed out, as I heard my voice Rica shay off the walls and around the empty building.
"Yes?" Someone crept towards me out of nowhere.
"Hey Tiff," I smiled and shook hands with her, she offered me a chocolate biscuit, I took it but looked wearily at it, and remembered the robots.
"NO! Your poisoning me!"
"JEN!"
"Ugh..what do you want?" I asked being woken from my disturbing dream, I looked up to Tré and groaned.
"You drunk?"
"I just woke up."
"So..?"
"I'm still tired."
"Oh," Tré put his mouth right next to my ear and screamed, I started screaming as I realized what Tré was doing him and wrestled him to the ground.
"LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE YOU STUPID FUCKING IDIOT!!" I yelled going red in the face, Tré scampered off whimpering like a dog being told off, I managed a smile through my bad mood, and contemplated whether I'd woken up on the wrong side of the couch.
"Sorry Tré, but you really are just plain annoying."
"Hmph!" he said, walking out my house, I smiled to myself before getting up and making my way to my kitchen to see the sun setting over the horizon, I made a cup of coffee and drunk it, before getting a Hershey's bar and nibbling on it. 'I'm so bored' I thought, rolling my eyes at the fact I had nothing better to do then think things like that. I flicked the radio on and listened.
"..but I don't think it's right to send the troops to Iraq."
"Okay, nice to hear your opinion but now it's time for Carol to talk about holidays in America."
"Yes! It seems it's becoming more popular to have a holiday in your own country then go abroad! Today I'll be talking about New York."
I immediately sighed, I loved New York, I went when I was 16 with my family, and when I was 18 with my friends, I loved the skyscrapers and the busy lights, it was all too intense as coming from a very rural part of England meant I never saw high glass buildings. Turning off the radio, I climbed upstairs and took a bath, I climbed out 20 minutes later and dried myself off, I went into my bed roomed, got changed and started shifting through my drawers, I came across a scrap book, when I opened it up a photo slipped out and drifted onto the floor, I mumbled and leant down to pick it up, on the back it said, "March 21st, New York, 1999, me, Katie, Aggie and Jaz," Funny how I was just remembering going to New York. This would of been a day after my 18th birthday, and by the looks of it, and from what I can remember, I had a pretty bad hangover. same with my friends. I smirked at it as flashbacks jumped out at me, when I put it down I picked up my phone from my bed stand and dialed a number.
"Hello?"
"Hey Jaz! It's me Jen."
"Hey! Oh my God, Jen seems like ages, but I only saw you like a day or 2 ago. wow I have bad memory."
"How's the pregnancy?"
"Fine, great yeh, not as bad as some people say, but everyone's different right?"
"Yeh and your just really different," I giggled, I could almost imagine Jaz nodding at the end of the line.
"So Jasmine, found the father yet?"
"Nah, I'll give up..or get a DNA test when the baby's born."
"Thought of any nice names?"
"I like the name Phoebe.."
"Oi!"
"Yeh yeh, you like that name more, blah blah.." I laughed as she trailed off.
"I also like the name May."
"Interesting."
"Yeh, so er..when are you settling down?"
"No idea to be honest, but basically my love life is confused, you see I slept with Billie whilst he's still going out with Tiff, so basically he's still in love with her. which means my chances are ruined with him."
"Not exactly, I mean he could break up with her to go out with you."
"I wouldn't allow it though."
"Hey! Don't be like that, it's your future you should be bothered about, not Tiff's I mean she's only what..like 23 or 22?"
"Yeh, but that should have nothing to do with it."
"True, I'm just trying to help..and failing," I laughed as Jaz rambled on.
"Well, you made me laugh, and after my brain rattled..and I had a rather strange dream just-"
"It's 8pm.."
"I was tired so I took a nap."
"Oooh."
"As I was saying, ya made me smile after what's happened through the last days."
"Cool, glad to help."
"Yeh so..did you hear about Emmy?"
"Yeh she asked me to move in with her."
"WHAT?! Oh my God that's so unfair."
"Did didn't ask you?"
"She did, but I don't wanna go."

"But I love these guys.."
"In such a way it's hurting you, and hey! Don't you love me and Emmy? I mean you get to see me get fatter and fatter through my pregnancy.."

"Persuading me."
"Yay! Come oooon!"
"No! I don't know..maybe.."

"Exactly, but we took so long realizing it that we fell out of love, we've moved on since then, and I guess so have our feelings, maybe it's best if we do stay as best friends after all."
"Maybe your right," Billie sighed.
"Sorry that I didn't make a move on you when I first saw you," He joked, I smirked, but then sighed.
"Yeh well, you were getting over Adie then wasn't you.."
"I was still married to her," he laughed but quieted down.
"And look where we are now," I sighed as I put my head on my pillow and let a tear slide down my face, I said bye to Billie and put down my phone, leaving myself and Billie to think of what's to come in his life..

"Sorry that I didn't make a move on you when I first saw you," He joked, I smirked, but then sighed.
"Yeh well, you were getting over Adie then wasn't you.."
"I was still married to her," he laughed but quieted down.
