Why Won't You Love Me?, chapter 4

"Ok...tour. We still have to get the final list of bands going, but we know for sure that All-Amercan Rejects and Fall Out Boy. There was a maybe for Green Day, 30 Seconds To Mars, and My Chemical Romance. Do you have anything to add?" said Johnathon, our tour manager. We were sitting at the snack bar in our bassist, Andrew's, kitchen.

"I'm okay with it, as long as I can get someone to watch Charlie." I said, shrugging my shoulders. "Yeah, I'm cool as long as someone can watch Billy. I'll see if Ryan can take care of them." said Kylie, looking at me and raising her eyebrows. "Sure. Fine by me." I said, getting up to refill my glass.

Kylie had been married to the actor Ryan Gosling, whom you would know from "The Notebook". I'll just say that Ryan and Kylie didn't exactly have a "Notebook" marriage. Sure, when they first got married and she bacame pregnant, I thought that they would always be together. But about 9 months after their son was born, they filed for divorce. Their marriage just fell apart. They didn't fight or anything, they just fell out of love. They stayed friends, not for their son, William Joseph, as much as for themselves. they may not be married anymore, but they still care for eachother and depend on eachother.

"Anything else?" asked Diego, the lead guitarist in our band. "Not that I can think of. I'll get the tickets and reservations ready. Just hang tight and get ready for the tour." said Jonathon, stacking up papers and putting them into a briefcase. "Oh crap. I gotta go get Charlie. I'm late." I said, running to get my stuff. I quickly kissed Andrew and Diego on the cheeks, hugged Kylie and Diego's wife, Dani, whom I had known since 10th grade, and said bye to everyone before running out to my car.

"I'm sorry I'm late, booger. We were talking about tour." I said to my 6 year old son as I carried him to the car. "It's okay, momma. Am I going on tour?" he asked, his brown eyes widening. "Well, you and Billy are gonna stay at his daddy's house for a little while, but then you get to come with me, okay?" I said, buckeling him into the middle of the back seat. As I got in, he told me he loved me, and I almost died. It sounded exactly how Jeff would have said it.

That night after dinner I called his school, telling them that I was going to take Charlie with me and such. I got him ready for bed and tucked him in. "Mommy? Where's daddy?" he asked, looking at me with a slight pout. "Honey, why do you ask?" I said, sitting on the bed next to him. "Acause Johnny Preston brought his daddy in today and everyone was talking about their daddys and I didn't get to cause I do'n't got one." he said, looking at my hands. "Well, when you were still in mommy's tummy, daddys went to heaven." I said, touching his small face. "But why? Is he coming back?" he asked, looking at me with tears in his eyes.

"Because God wanted daddy to come be with him. Baby, he's not gonna come back." i said, beginning to cry. "But I want him to come back! I need my daddy! Why can't God make his own daddy?! He took him away from me! He's not sharing!" yelled Charlie, flinging himself into my arms and crying. "Ms. Blake at school said to share and God's not sharing. Why, momma?" whispered Charlie, turning his red tear-stained face up to look me in the eyes.

"Because God needed another angel."
