Whatever Happened To Whatsername?, chapter 5
The light flicked on, it was just Sam. I ran up to him and hugged him, I knew it looked suss, but who cared, he was my brother, and I was his brother, we were each other's everything, and nothing could ever change that.
I eventually pulled away from Sam,
"Geez, have you seen this place?" Sam said,
"No I only just got here," I said,
"There's Green Day robes, shower caps, soap, alcohol, almost everything is Green Day!"
"Are you serious?" I said,
"You better believe it!"
So I ran into the bathroom and saw all the 'free' Green Day merchandise, I was amazed, they didn't call this Billies for nothing. Even the pool was green, and they played Green Day throughout the motel, no wonder there weren't any adults here.
Life was too miserable to even care anymore; I just hated my life so much. No body cared, no body would listen and no body would do anything for me, I may as well just of died right there on the spot, but there was something that kept me alive, I don't know what it was but it kept me there. Sam walked into the room,
"I've called the police and told them about dad, they are keeping a look out" he said,
"Oh my god, you can't of, he's going to try and get you now" I said,
"No he's not, the police will protect me!" he replied and walked away.
The next morning when I was walking down to the dining room, I saw a body lying on the ground. It was Sam, I ran straight over to his body, and lifted it up. He was dead all right; I burst into tears and held on until all the other people came out into the hallway to see what was going on, when the ambulance came, I knew it was time to let go, holding on to Sam forever wasn't going to bring him back, but I knew I could make him damn proud if I expose what my father had done to us.
"St. Jimmy you fucking bastard!" I screamed at the top of my lungs,
"You were supposed to keep us safe! I will show you!"
St. Jimmy had kept me strong for all the years, but now I had given up on everything, except for the mission I was on, to prove to the world what my father really was.
My phone started ringing, I looked on the screen, it said it was mum ringing, I was shocked, I stared at the screen shocked, then slowly I pressed the receive button and lifted it up to my ear, there was a crackling noise, but in the background I could here a woman crying, and saying my name.
"Hello, Hello! Who's there?" I said panicky, but alls I could hear was more screaming and crying. Than I thought to myself, what if that wasn't really mum in that car, what if it was a substitute that dad had paid for, what if mums lost somewhere, and dad was scared to tell us that she was lost. The noise then stopped and I could hear the beeping that indicated that the connection had been lost.
Suddenly I could hear a rumbling sound coming from somewhere in the building, people had started running for the emergency exits screaming, so I decided to make a run for it too, however when we got outside we soon learnt that it was only a broken water main, and we had been told to turn our taps in our rooms on and let them run for a little bit to clear it of all the dirt that had gotten into the system. But when I got back to my room and turned on the tap, a very dark blue liquid was coming from it, this didn't seem right at all, something was really wrong here. But according to the motel management, this place was the safest place in this area for teenagers to be, but that didn't explain how Sam had died. Right at this moment they were probably sticking needles into Sam's body, for the autopsy to figure out how he had died.
My phone started ringing again, it was the autopsy clinic. I answered and they told me Sam had died of heart failure, a natural cause of death. I again looked shocked, what a very weird coincidence. I'd had enough with all these conspiracy theories that I had been getting against dad, so I decided, I was going to enjoy this day and not let anything get in my way. I would start by ordering almost everything from room service, then I would go down to the pool for a swim, then I would decide what to do next. The motel had lots of exciting going on, and it was almost a resort, in fact I would've called it a resort.
