Right as I began to light it, Mike came running out of the apartment building.
"I am sooooo sorry Izzy. I forgot which key it was."? he said as he was holding the sharpie.
"It's alright Mike, I forget which key it is all the time"? I said giving him a smile as I took the sharpie from his hand. I held the hoody under the sharpie and looked towards Billie Joe who was halfway thru his cigarette.
"Damn, are you a fucking binge smoker?"? I said laughing.
"No, I just, I don't know heh heh."? he said looking down at the cigarette between his pointer and his middle finger.
"Well anyways, are you going to sign the hoody for me? I would really appreciate it, and it would make this great day so much bett... "? I said before Billie Joe cut in.
"Of course I will, I'm not a prick like all the other bands out there."? he said taking the sharpie and hoody out of my hands.
"Thank you thank you thank you!"? I said while clapping my hands and giggling like a little kid.
"Wow, I never realized that I am THAT popular, I just thought I was one of them bands where no one knows about."? Billie Joe said signing his name on the material of the hoody.
"Do you have anything else that you would like me to sign?"? he said as he handed my hoody back to me.
"Uuuummmm... "? I said looking around my pockets.
"I have a 20 dollar bill... "? I said pulling out the money.
" Okay, do you want me to make it into a personalized signature? Or just my name like the hoody?"? he said taking the bill.
"You would really do that!?"? I said as my eyes lit up with excitement. I thought to myself
'Oh my god, I am talking to the fucking hottest person in the world, next to Mike that is.'
"Of course, like I said before, I'm not a prick"? he said flashing a sexy smile.
"THANK YOU!"? I screamed as Mike put his arms on my shoulders to keep me from jumping around like a bunny rabbit.
"Okay, now what's your name?"? Billie Joe said looking up from the bill.
"Isabella"? I said looking at him as his smile slowly turned into a look of shock.
"Wha... what?"? he said looking at me.
"Isabella"? I said again my smile turning into a confused smile.
"Di... did you used to liv... live in... in Rodeo?"? he said still looking shocked.
"Ummm... yeah, why?"? I said looking at him still confused.
"You don't remember do you?"? he asked a little bit sad.
"Remember what?"? she said looking freaked out at this point.
"10 years ago, you used to be friends with Mike and I, then you fell out of the tree, and we never got to say good bye to each other, and you moved away"? Billie Joe said looking straight in my blue eyes.
"Ummmm, I don't know, but, I'm confused!"? I said putting my hands on my temples and rubbing them in circles to show that I was getting frustrated. I thought to myself:
'Why am I getting frustrated at Billie Joe, and what is he talking about?"? I kept thinking and thinking for like 5 minutes, then I was interrupted by the vibration of my cell phone in my pocket. I quickly searched for it in my pockets, and I grabbed it, and the caller I.D read "Mike"?. I answered it and it was Mike's little sister on the line.
"Hello?"? I said in the nicest tone I could.
"Hi, can I talk to Mikey?"? she said in the cutest little voice.
"Sure, here he is."? I said handing the phone to Mike. I looked at him and then he hung up with her after about a minute.
"Hey Iz, I've gotta go, my mom's going out tonight, and her sitter bailed. So I'll talk to you tomorrow or the next day alright?"? he said looking at me.
"Awwww, okay, I love you"? I said giving him a passionate goodbye kiss.
"I love you more"? he said returning the kiss.
"Bye!"? I said as I watched him walk to his car. He pulled off and waved to me as I watched the car turn the corner and disappear. Then I realized that Billie Joe was still sitting there; with yet another cigarette in his mouth.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot that you were there. Now as we were talking about before, I don't remember"? I said looking sad.
"I didn't expect you to... "? Billie Joe said as he started squirming, most likely because it was cold out.
"Do you need a jacket?"? I asked as I seen Goosebumps on his arms.
"Ugh, no, I am only going to be out here until I am done with this cigarette."? he said looking at the ground.
"Hey, I'll be right back, I need to call someone, and I need to talk to you afterwards okay?"? I told him as I grabbed my cell phone from my pocket.
"Sure"? he said taking a drag from his cigarette. I started to walk towards my car and I leaned against the side of it and slid down it. I opened my cell phone and scrolled through the numbers until I stumbled upon the number I was looking for. It was my mom's. I pressed the 'Send' button and it rang 4 times, then finally my older sister answered.
"Hello?"? she asked .
"Hey Megan, I need to talk to you."? I said closing my eyes.
"Ummm... okay"? she said.
"Okay, do you remember when we moved here?"? I asked opening my eyes to see Billie Joe still on the stairs.
"Yeah, why?"? Megan asked.
"Okay, did I have a best friend/boyfriend?"? I asked hoping that she knew.
"Ugh... hmmm... OH! I remember, the day we were supposed to catch the flight, you ran off with, oh god, what's his name? Ummmm... Joe, no that isn't it, there were two names in it, ummm... Billie? Ummm... "? she said and I interrupted her and I suggested his name.
"Billie Joe?"? I said more in a statement than a question.
"Yeah! That's it! But anyway, you were in a tree with him and you were like making out with him"? she said with a giggle.
"Okay, guess what?"? I asked a little nervous.
"What?"? she asked still giggling.
"He's Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day... and I ran into him just now, and he's staying at my apartment"? I told her wincing as I heard a scream.
"OMG! That's fucking crazy! You should do him"? she said laughing even harder.
"MEGAN! Mike and I are getting married! I can't fuck Billie Joe! Even if he is sexy!"? I screamed in the phone giggling also.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold up, you and Mike are getting married? When did he propose?"? Megan asked stopping her fits of laughter.
"Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot to tell you, and he proposed today, well, yesterday if you want to get all technical and crap."? I said considering it was 1:00 am.
"Well congrats, but what he doesn't know wont hurt him."? Megan said before she laughed.
"Oh, you're a perv. Hehehe, well, I've got to go, thanks a lot Meg."? I said as I was about to hang up.
"Bye Izzy, do you want me to tell mom and dad?"? She asked.
"Ugh, no. Hehehe, bye"? I said as I hung up. I sat against the car for about 30 seconds more, and then slammed my head against the door. 'What am I going to do? I've loved Green Day since they were Sweet Children, and I've especially loved Billie Joe, and I love Mike with all my heart. Ugh, why does God do this to me?' I thought as I stood myself up, wiping the dirt from my ass. I put my cell phone away, and began slowly walking towards Billie Joe's position on the stairs.
"Hey"? I simply said with a smile.
"Hey."? he said without looking up from the ground. There was an awkward silence for about 5 minutes, and I opened my mouth to say something about 3 times, but ended up not saying anything. Billie Joe decided to break the silence and said
"It's getting cold and I should get going before Mike and Tre' send search parties out for me thinking that a crazed fan kidnapped me and is keeping for sexual favors"? he said as he began walking up the stairs.
"Okay, bye"? I simply said as I put myself down on the steps to think. Right before Billie Joe was about to walk in, I screamed:
"Wait!"? He looked around, with the door leaning on his shoe.
"Yeeahh"? he said looking confused. I thought 'What the fuck am I doing' and I started to cry. I ran up the stairs and gave him the biggest mutual hug I could, and said:
"I've missed you soo much! Why didn't you call?"? I asked looking at him.
"I didn't call because you didn't call"? he said looking at me.
"And I didn't call because you didn't call."? I said looking at him, god, he was so gorgeous. We just stood there for like 2 minutes looking at each other when...
